Chapter 1 - The Birth Of Liebe

In the nation of Eldoria, a female knight with hair and eyes as black as the night sky caught a skilled thief stealing goods from a noble.

The woman stepped forward and said,

"Who are you, thief?"

The thief smirked and replied,

"I'm Tenebris Vale."

Then he whispered,

"Smoke Magic: Endless Abyss,"

and a dense smoke screen engulfed the alley as he vanished.

Lilith raised her hand.

"Void Magic: Turn to Naught."

The smoke was erased in an instant—

yet the thief was gone as well.

She muttered,

"Wait… did I somehow kill him from a distance?"

From somewhere behind her, Tenebris called,

"Nope. I'm still alive."

Lilith smirked.

"Got you."

She dashed toward the voice.

She chased him across the dim city streets, but something felt off.

He hadn't taken the gold for himself. Curious, she kept her distance.

Instead of vanishing with his loot, Tenebris traded the gold coins for copper—then used them to buy food, clothes, and supplies. Lilith followed quietly as he donated them to churches and gave to the poor, moving from place to place under the moonlight.

Eventually, at the doors of the final church, Tenebris stepped out—only to find Lilith waiting at the entrance.

He sighed,

"Fine. Arrest me if you want. I spent all the coins."

Lilith tossed a small pouch toward him.

"Catch."

Tenebris caught it, surprised.

"What is this?"

She simply said,

"See for yourself."

Then turned and flew away.

Opening the pouch, Tenebris stared in disbelief—fifty gold coins glittered in the moonlight.

Back at Black Rose HQ, Lilith landed quietly.

Her teammate Jewel waved lazily.

"Hey, Lilith. How you doing?"

"Just fine." Lilith replied.

Elodie raised an eyebrow.

"You're reporting in late."

Jewel stretched and yawned.

"Well… I was sleeping. It was nice. I liked it. When the alarm rang, I turned it off and went back to sleep. Simple."

Lilith rolled her eyes.

"You're hopeless."

"Talk about yourself," Jewel teased.

"You work all day, and still the captain's calling you in."

Lilith paused.

"Wait… Father called me to his office?"

"Yep," Jewel grinned. "Good luck."

"Thanks. See you around."

She knocked on the office door.

"Enter," came the voice of Captain Dómr.

Lilith stepped in.

"Top of the morning, Father. How are you?"

Dómr looked up, stern.

"For the last time, call me Captain when you're on active duty. Report. What are the results of your investigation? You were out all night."

Lilith scratched her head.

"Well, sir… something happened. I got a bit sidetracked. Also… I might need my monthly salary a bit earlier than usual."

Dómr narrowed his eyes.

"Let me guess. You went to a bar and lost it on a bet or something?"

Lilith just smiled sheepishly.

Some time later, in a noble house surrounded by silence, a baby was born to a beautiful maiden—with hair and eyes as dark and lovely as the night sky.

The woman's name was Lilith Al Faust.

Cradling her newborn son in her arms, she whispered,

"Thank you for being born, my beautiful son."
