The countdown ticked down to two hours.
Rhiannan felt it under her skin like a second pulse, humming behind her eyes and heating every nerve in her body. The bond with Sable was incomplete, and her beast nature was clawing at her insides, demanding she finish it. The pentacle was so close just one mate left. One final star point to set her soul ablaze.
She turned her head slowly, gaze locking on the demon.
Sable stood just inside the threshold of the training hall, shirtless, his obsidian horns curling like wicked promises above his brow. His black and red eyes flicked around the room in confusion.
All the others had scattered.
Kaleb nodded once at Rhiannan before dragging Arwen and Elisha with him, all three of them giving her that knowing smirk. Liam gave her a salute and muttered something about having to "sanitize the hallway."
And just like that, she was alone.
With him.
Sable shifted, unease creeping into his features. "Where did..."
She stepped toward him slowly, the magic in the air tightening like a noose.
"They left. They know what I need."
His breath hitched. "Rhi.."
She was on him in a flash, one hand tangled in the thick, dark hair at his nape, the other dragging her nails down his chest. He growled, a deep sound that sent a shiver straight to her core.
"You've been fighting this," she murmured against his throat, lips brushing skin hotter than a forge. "But I see you. I feel you."
His claws flexed at his sides. "I'll ruin you."
"Good," she whispered, and kissed him.
The dam shattered.
His mouth crashed to hers, wild and brutal. Tongues tangled. Teeth clicked. Her moan was swallowed into his mouth as he spun, slamming her back against the stone wall. His clawed hands shredded her clothes like paper, tossing bits and fabric to the floor until she stood bare, radiant, and unashamed in the low firelight.
Her hands fumbled with his leathers, yanking them down to reveal something insane. He was huge, thick, pierced, and still growing. And as he shifted, his tail wrapped around her ankle and lifted her higher while his cock twisted, curving like a serpent to find her slick entrance.
But he didn't take her yet.
First, he dropped to his knees.
She gasped as his forked tongue dragged a hot line up her inner thigh, his claws parting her folds as he dove in like a man starved. His mouth was unholy, licking and sucking, growling against her while his fingers worked inside her, two, then three, stretching her until her head slammed back against the wall.
"Sable oh my Goddess fuck don't stop!" she cried.
He didn't. Not until she shattered, legs trembling, sobs of pleasure clawing from her throat. Then he rose, licked her release off his fingers, and gave her a look that said mine.
She dropped to her knees in front of him next, stroking him, watching his cock throb and pulse. He groaned as her lips wrapped around him, taking him deep, her throat relaxing as he growled in praise. His claws curled into her hair as he whispered, "You're gonna ruin me, goddess."
Then, he lifted her again, flew her, wings beating hard enough to shake the walls, until they were hovering high in the air above the gardens. The wind howled, magic sparked, and he aligned their bodies.
"Now," he snarled.
He thrust deep...too deep, and she screamed, body arching as he filled her completely. He rocked into her midair, tail curled tight around her waist, holding her steady while he fucked her with animalistic precision and godly stamina. His claws left marks on her thighs. Her name was a mantra on his lips.
"I can't omg fucking hell I.." she gasped.
"Yes, you can," he growled. "Take all of me. Every inch. Every piece. You're mine."
Their bond snapped into place with a blast of raw, divine energy. Fire exploded around them, the air lit with lightning and flame. Below them, the castle shook. Sasha the AI shrieked in the distance. The gardens burst into blooms and chaos as they tumbled down from the sky, wrapped around each other.
Everyone was there when they landed.
Kaleb, Arwen, Elisha, Liam, on the ground, laughing their asses off, shielding themselves from fire and flying rose petals. But Rhiannan and Sable didn't care.
She looked at her arm, where a curling black horn tattoo had appeared, etched in flames. Sable's chest now bore a constellation of stars.
They were glowing.
"Feel that?" he asked, breathing hard.
She nodded, clutching him tighter. "I've never felt anything like it."
He pressed a kiss to her forehead. "I'm yours. Always."
The divine countdown ticked lower.
But for now, they lay in the flowers, tangled together, demon and goddess, bonded and blazing, unstoppable.
And the pentacle was complete.
Now? It was time to face the gods.
