Lincoln and his friends are walking through the Server Desert on their way to Logic Volcano to meet with Taomon.
"Are we there yet?" Rusty whined while wiping sweat off his brow.
"You just asked that a minute ago, Rusty." said Stella with exasperation.
"But it's hot out here." said Rusty.
"Imagine what a volcano's going to be like." said Zach.
"Oh, man!" Rusty moaned.
"Let's take a break for a bit." said Lincoln.
"Is there any shade around here?" asked Clyde. The group looks around and soon see a cave entrance nearby.
"Let's go in there." said Elecmon. Rusty quickly runs towards the cave entrance with the others following after him. They soon reach it and go in.
"Not exactly a house with air conditioning; but I guess it'll do." said Rusty as he sits down on a rock.
"Let's wait in here for about half an hour." said Clyde.
"Okay." said Zach. As they look around some more, they see that the inside stretched a bit further into the mountain.
"What do you all reckon's in there?" asked Liam.
"I don't know." said Kudamon.
"Wanna explore?" asked Zach.
"Well, we got nothing better to do." said Lincoln. "But we should be careful, who knows what's in here."
"Maybe there's some treasure?" suggested Rusty. "I can bring it back, get super rich, and the ladies will be all over me." Stella does an eyeroll in response.
The group starts walking further down the tunnel; fortunately, the walls had some glowing rocks that provided them with enough light to see by. They soon reach the inside of a large cavern and look around a bit.
"Not much in here." said Gaomon.
"No treasure." Rusty moaned.
"There's not much in here but a lot of lousy spider webs." said Zach as he notices the walls were covered in a lot of webbing.
"Do you think there's spiders in here?" asked Rusty as he looks around with fear.
"AUUUUGGGGHHHH!" shouts Lincoln.
"What's wrong, Lincoln?" asked Clyde as he looks at where Lincoln was, only to find that he and Agumon weren't there.
"Where did he go?!" asked Zach.
"GUYS!" they all hear Lincoln shout from above them. They all look up to see him and Agumon stuck in a web, surrounded by a bunch of small, tarantula-like Digimon with yellow and black-striped admonens, black legs with red pointed feet, orange manes, and yellow mask with eight blue eyes on them.
"What are those things?" asked Liam. Rusty takes out his Digivice and points them at the Digimon.
"Those are KoDokugumon." said Rusty. "They're in-training level, Insectoid Type, Virus Attribute Digimon."
"Guys, could you get us down before we become dinner for these guys?" asked Lincoln as he looked at the KoDokugumon moving closer to him and Agumon.
"Hang on, buddy!" said Clyde.
"I don't really have a choice." said Lincoln as he struggles to get free.
"Let's get them!" said Gotsumon as he and the other non-captured Digimon run to Lincoln and Agumon's aid.
"Super Thunder Strike!" shouts Elecmon as he releases a blast of electricity from his tails, hitting some of the KoDokugumon, and knocks them down.
"Wild Echo!" said Gaomon and he lets out a loud cry, releasing a strong soundwave that hits a couple of KoDokugumon, knocking them to the ground.
"Rock Fist!" shouts Gotsumon as he releases a bunch of rocks from his head, hitting several KoDokugumon.
"Seed Blast!" said Lalamon as she releases a bunch of seeds from her mouth, hitting a bunch of KoDoKugumon.
"Holy Shot!" said Kudamon as he releases a beam of light that hits a few KoDoKugumon. After that, the remaining ones skitter away.
"You okay, Lincoln?" asked Clyde.
"I think so." Lincoln replied. "Thanks a lot."
"Let's figure out a way to get you down from there." said Stella.
"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY KIDS?!" shouts a voice from above them. Everyone looks up to see what appeared to be a larger DoKugumon with long horns on its mask, and skull and crossbones on its abdomen, walking down on a large webbing.
"Whoa. A jumbo sized KoDoKugumon." said Rusty. Stella takes out her Digivice and points it at the Digimon.
"Guys; that's Dokugumon." said Stella. "Champion Level, Insectoid Type, Virus Attribute; its special attack is Poison Cobweb."
"What are you brats doing in my cave, attacking my kids?!" exclaimed Dokugumon.
"One; we were seeking shelter from the heat." said Clyde. "Two; your kids tried to eat our buddy."
"Well, I don't like trespassers in my cave!" exclaimed Dokugumon. "Let me show you brats what I do to them." The kids Digimon, except Agumon who was still trapped in the web, ran in front of the kids, except Lincoln. "Poison Cobweb!" Dokugumon releases a blast of purple mist from its mouth, and it hits the kids Digimon; the Digimon slumped to the ground.
"Man; I feel dizzy." said Gaomon, putting a hand over his eyes.
"You guys okay?" asked Rusty.
"Probably." replied Elecmon. They looked to see Dokugumon running towards them.
"Holy Shot!" said Kudamon as it fires a beam of light at Dokugumon, but it quickly runs to the side, dodging the attack.
"Boy, that's one quick critter." said Liam.
"Let's see it outrun this; Rock Fist!" said Gotsumon as it fires a rock out of its head, but Dokugumon runs to the side, dodging the rock. "Huh; I guess it can outrun it."
"Nuts Gun!" said Lalamon as it fires nuts from her mouth at Dokugumon, but it kept jumping away from each shot. Dokugumon then turns around.
"Poison Thread!" said Dokugumon. Dokugumon releases a web net from its abdomen towards the Digimon; Elecmon jumped out of the path of the web, but the other Digimon were caught in the web. The Digimon struggled to free themselves from the web.
"I can't get out!" said Lalamon.
"Us neither." said Kudamon. Dokugumon lunged at the trapped Digimon.
"Super Thunder Strike!" said Elecmon, releasing a blast of electricity from his tails and it hits Dokugumon, knocking it back, but it lands on its feet.
"Poison Thread!" exclaimed Dokugumon as it turned and releases another web at Elecmon, this time, trapping him.
"Elecmon!" exclaims Rusty as he runs to Elecmon and begins pulling at the web.
"Rusty, stay away!" said Elecmon. Rusty looks to see Dokugumon running towards them; prompting Rusty to stand in front of Elecmon. "Rusty!" Suddenly, Rusty's Digivice began to glow. Rusty takes out his Digivice and pushes a glowing button; Elecmon began to spin around. "Elecmon, Digivolve to..." He stops spinning when he Digivolves. "Leomon!" He rips the webbing off him.
"Oh yeah!" said Rusty. Leomon faces Dokugumon as it leaps up and down towards him.
"Poison Thread!" said Dokugumon as it turns and releases another webbing from its abdomen and onto Leomon.
"Lion Sword!" said Leomon as he unsheathes his sword and uses it to slice apart the web. "Smashing Kick!" He leaps at Dokugumon while it was in mid-air and spins around, kicking Dokugumon with the heel of his foot, sending it flying back and landing on its web that was in the cave. Dokugumon turned towards Lincoln and Agumon who were still trapped in the web and began to approach them.
"Lincoln!" exclaimed Clyde.
"Agumon!" exclaimed Gaomon. Leomon turned toward Dokugumon and pulls back an arm.
"Fist of the Beast King!" said Leomon and he throws his fist forward, releasing an orange aura that resembled a lion's head from it and it hits Dokugumon, pushing it onto the ceiling of the cave and it explodes; Dokugumon screams as the explosion cosumes it until it disintigrates.
"Way to go, Leomon!" said Rusty. Leomon then leaps at Lincoln and Agumon and uses his sword to cut them free; he catches them as they fell and lands safely on the cavern floor. After he sets them down, he cuts the other Digimon free from the webbing they were trapped in.
"Thanks, Leomon." said Lincoln.
"It was my pleasure." said Leomon before he turned back into Elecmon.
"Are you okay, Lincoln?" asked Stella.
"I'll be fine." said Lincoln.
"We should get out of this cavern before something else shows up." suggested Zach.
"I agree." said Lincoln.
"And don't forget to put in your journal about how cool Leomon was." said Rusty.
"I won't." said Lincoln. The group make their way out of the cave and back into the heat of the desert.
"I forgot how hot it was." said Rusty before taking one of his water canteens and drinks out of it.
"Let's get going." said Clyde. The group manages to survive their encounter with Dokugumon. What other challenges await them as they try and find their way home?
