Blue's POV
I peed on the test, and I was nervously waiting for the result. I was walking round the room, unable to properly process my thoughts.
I mean, this would eternally bind Luca to me, but do I really want him to remain non chalant, and have his kids?
I could not get my mind to properly choose a thing.
This was literally the longest five minutes of my life. When the time was up, I picked the test, and it was positive.
I am pregnant! And it's Luca's baby. There's no doubt about this. There's no argument. I took a picture of the result and I threw it away, holding my stomach and imagining what life would become for me.
How did I get pregnant for him? How was I so reckless? I rejected my first mate for him, and he still did not want me, and now I'm pregnant for him?
I'm not sure if I've always wanted a family, but now, it's looking very real, and it doesn't look like I can shake it off.
I tried to get my head over it, but it just wouldn't leave. There's no way I'd abort, since I never expected that I'd even ever get pregnant.
I finally forced myself into the right head space, and I shifted my focus into my usual daily activities. It was always pricking at my mind, but I was doing a very good job of keeping it at bay.
"Kylie, make sure no one knows its a scam marriage except you." I said to Kylie. Luca was influential and powerful enough to get people in my pack to divulge secrets to him, especially when he's all charming and loving. No one dares reveal pack secrets though.
I was trying to find a way to stop the chain of murders that had been happening over a few days. Several wolves had been killed, and it was getting too much.
I wasn't getting anywhere, and it doesn't look like I would. Not especially when I'm thinking about how to go about my pregnancy.

The day went by, and it was time to get wedded. I wore a casual brown gown that wasn't too sparkly. I sent a car to pick Maverick up.
I didn't wait long at the courthouse when he appeared. I expected him to be dressed casually, but instead, he was wearing a white shirt and a tie. He was looking prepared, and handsome too.
I could not tell why the girls his age weren't already killing to be around him. He was walking towards me when Kylie came in between.
"He's my mate, let him walk." I said, using the mind link, and Kylie left the way.
Maverick stopped right in front of me, and he looked straight into my eyes. There was no fear in them, rather was his heart beating erratically fast.
"Good morning, Blue." He said calmly, looking at me.
"Morning Maverick." I responded, flashing my blue eyes at him. There was still no fear in his eyes.
"I really want to know whatever it is you've done to make your heart so steady." I chuckled.
"It's easy." Maverick shrugged. "I thought to myself, since I'm going to be doing this, how about I just enjoy it?"
He looked past me, and at the courthouse, and shrugged.
"You might need more, but I think for now, that'll do." I said, walking towards the courthouse. He was right beside me, and so was Kylie and Ara, his mate.
The court procession happened pretty fast. Maverick was pretty calm through it all also. We signed everything needed in a human court, and then we were told to kiss.
"Have you kissed anyone before?" I asked, moving close to him.
"Yeah." Maverick said nonchalantly, like it'd have hidden the fact that he was lying.
"I can see it all over your face that you're lying." I shook my head. "Why not just say the truth?"
"I have." He said. "Yesterday?"
"That was your first?" I chuckled. "You aren't beating the allegation of being a nerd."
"Let's hope I do it right." Maverick said, moving close to me.
I could tell he must have imagined kissing someone a lot of times because his hand placement was perfect. He grabbed my waist in a very easy manner, and pulled me close to himself.
I planned to give him a proper second kiss, so I tongue kissed him.
I wasn't sure who was giving or receiving the proper kiss between the two of us, because his tongue met mine just in the right way. Maybe this is what a mate feels like, because he kissed me the way I wanted to be kissed. His heart rate which had been calm the whole time went up again, and I found it cute.
After a few seconds, we disengaged. Luca is a very good kisser. He's good at everything, and this might just come close.
My gloss was on his face, and he gently cleaned it off with his handkerchief, and his tongue licked off the ones close to his lips. I found that insanely hot, but I am in love with someone else, and this definitely has to be the best plan to get him back.
"We are married now. So, you should move in with me for appearances, and we'll work out the rest." I said, walking out.
"So, I am your Luna ? Or what's the title?"
"Alpha consort. You are my Alpha consort for six months."
"Six months." He repeated and then chuckled.
I walked out with him, and got him in the car. We did a little shopping, and his style is absolutely commendable. He dresses the way I'd want my man to dress. We got everything he'd need, and I left him at one of the stores because Ashley was calling me endlessly. I left Kylie to take care of Maverick.
"He's not to be touched. He is my Alpha consort." I warned before leaving.
On arrival at the pack house, Ashley was giggling and laughing.
"So, what is it that I hear that you're married now?" Ashley giggled like I hadn't told her every single thing about it the whole night.
"It might be a rumour, and it just might be true." I chuckled.
"And where's our beloved human Alpha consort?" Ashley asked.
"Soon to be here. Stepping him up to at least not be so miserable." I shrugged.
"Well well." Ashley giggled. "I can't wait to see the look on Luca's face when he realizes that he's been dumped for someone else, and a human at that."
"Let's just hope it works out quick enough." I giggled.
"Well, what happens when Luca comes back begging?" Ashley asked. "Your marriage would still be on, and we need to find a way to get him out quickly."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that we need to have a way of getting rid of him if it comes to it." She said.
"Well then, let's set that in motion also." I laughed, and she joined in.
Is it really necessary though?
