In the beginning, there was Nothing—a black, empty, and endless void. At least, that's how HE described it. Within this vast emptiness existed HIM: the only being in existence. An entity whose nature we still struggle to comprehend. HE had no gender, but for simplicity, we refer to HIM as "HE." HE was alone in the Nothing. I wouldn't say HE was bored, but imagine being the only consciousness in all of existence—you understand the feeling.
So within the Nothing, HE contemplated. HE wondered, thought deeply, tried to understand what surrounded HIM. What was this void? Where had HE come from? Who—or what—was HE, truly? In the depths of these questions, HE became curious: What could HE do within this emptiness? What was HE capable of?
Raising HIS hands, HE summoned four astral figures.
The first was The Soul, held together by belief. The second, The Spirit, was a force of pure Will. The third was The Heart, filled and fueled by desire. And the fourth was The Body, the vessel that contained the other three and moved according to their call.
HE rejoiced at what HE had created. But in an instant, the void rejected them. The figures were annulled, erased, destroyed.
Shocked, HE realized a truth: the Void was not just empty. It was antithetical to existence itself. It annihilated all that dared to be. All but HIM.
As HE stared into the vast, black abyss, HE muttered aloud, "Nothing. Just dark. Empty. Devoid of anything."
Unknowingly, HE had spoken the first Law: The Law of the Void.
Then HE lifted a hand again. "Within this darkness," HE declared, "Let there be Light."
And thus, the second Law came into being: The Law of Light against Darkness.
The void, once only black, now flickered with specks of light. Stars burned where there had been nothing. And HE was pleased.
Yet in the brilliance of this newborn Light, HE felt a lingering loneliness. All that time spent in contemplation—as the sole being—led HIM to question: Was the Void part of something greater? Or were HE and the Void all that ever was?
So HE decided to recreate the four astral forms. But this time, HE would craft a place beyond the Void's reach. A sanctuary.
HE called it Eden.
Eden was a realm unlike the Nothing—a dimension where the four astral beings could exist freely. It was paradise: lush with nature, alive with energy, overflowing with peace. These elements were reflections of HIS own growth. Into this Eden, HE breathed life into a new being, formed by the unity of the four astral forces.
HE named him Michael, the Progenitor—the first of his kind.
HE was joyful. At last, someone to converse with. HE gave Michael dominion over Eden and asked him to name the other creatures that filled the paradise.
Time passed, measured now by new creations—the Sun and Moon, to accompany Light and Dark. Time itself, HE forged to track the passage of these phases.
Then, HE created others like Michael: entities that embodied abstract ideals—Faith, to stand for trust without evidence. Hope, a light in the dark. Peace, the heart of tranquility. Chaos, the counterforce. Good and Evil, Love and Hate. HE named them all.
HE called them Primordials—the first race.
And HE saw that Eden was no longer empty, and HE was no longer alone.
One day, Michael approached HIM and asked, "What is our purpose? Why were we created? For what reason do we exist?"
HE answered honestly, "I don't know. I created you to satisfy my curiosity. My loneliness. My longing. But beyond that, I haven't thought it through."
HE then asked, "Michael, what do you want?"
Michael pondered this. He returned to the citadel and gathered the other Primordials. There, he asked them the same question: "What do you want?"
They each began to contemplate.
Faith struggled to define 'want.' But she knew one thing: she wished to spread her essence across Eden. "But none here understand me," she said. "I want to create a new race—wise, understanding. Through them, we may find ourselves."
Hope said, "I'm tired of being confined to Eden. I want freedom. Space. Something beyond this paradise."
Chaos, overhearing, declared, "If new beings arise, I will rule them. They will worship me."
Peace replied gently, "Why so violent, brother? You crave only dominance and destruction. Still… Hope has a point. There must be more beyond Eden."
They debated, argued, and dreamed. And the question echoed: What do you want?
A hundred phases passed.
At last, they gathered again in the citadel. Each had an answer. Michael listened to them all, withholding judgment. When they had finished, he left to speak with HE.
But before Michael could speak, HE said, "I gave you the will to choose. So do as you please."
Thus, the third Law came into being: The Law of Will.
