Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Witness of Relationship

"So that's how it is, so that's how it is. Because you're thinking about the little girl on the other side of the island, you're hesitating whether or not to go see her again? You're more of a philanderer than I thought. A bad boy should be properly punished."

Morgan le Fay poked Asher hard in the waist. He was very sensitive there; his body trembled as he backed away, shouting, "Spare me! I'm not thinking about that girl, I just..."

"Just?" Morgan le Fay stopped poking Asher's waist, her smile fading slightly. "Just what?"

"I felt like she seemed very lonely by herself, so I stayed," Asher said.

This was, of course, not the real reason.

When he had seen those holy blue eyes before, he couldn't help but be attracted. Especially the change in her attitude—from initial hostility towards him to later putting down her sword and letting him leave, only to be somewhat embarrassed because her stomach was growling... this transformation made Asher feel very novel.

Most importantly... she looked too cute!

"Hmm... I can understand that," Morgan le Fay nodded slightly, a faint, inscrutable smile on her face.

"After all, she is the future king."

"The future king?" Asher feigned ignorance.

"Yes, the future king."

Morgan le Fay turned her back and gazed at the horizon, towards Britain. "Putting all the burden on a little girl, King Uther's brain is indeed broken."

"She should have had a happier choice."

As she finished speaking, her smile suddenly disappeared, and a rare hint of anger appeared in her voice. At this moment, she was both the goddess of death and Artoria's elder half-sister, Morgan le Fay.

Asher remained silent, not knowing how to respond.

As a transmigrator, he knew what would happen in the future. However, this world was somewhat different from the mythological stories he knew. Scáthach of the Land of Shadows, Artoria of Britain, Queen Maeve of Connacht, the hero Cú Chulainn of Ulster... they all coexisted in this world.

Artoria was fifteen years old this year. In another year, she should go to pull out the Caliburn and be crowned king.

But honestly, Asher found it very difficult to connect the little girl he met today with the future Knight King.

Yesterday, she had stood with her hands behind her back in the sea breeze, her white dress fluttering, revealing the beautiful legs of a young girl. Behind her, seagulls soared—a scene of breathtaking beauty.

But in another year, this girl would actually pull out the Caliburn and bear the weight of the entire country on her shoulders.

Wouldn't she feel tired?

Most importantly... was the legendary witch Morgan le Fay actually a sis-con?!

At first, Asher thought Morgan le Fay would be the final big boss or something, but now it seemed she was completely a yandere sis-con!

Of course, despite his thoughts, Asher certainly wouldn't dare to say such things. He just stood beside her, silently listening to Morgan le Fay speak.

Morgan le Fay quickly regained her usual natural smile, turning her head to look at him. "You were daydreaming just now. Were you hesitating about whether or not to go see that girl?"

"A little bit," Asher nodded lightly, admitting it.

However, that wasn't the only reason.

He didn't know why, but the bridge that brother Cú Chulainn had tried his best to cross, he had actually crossed so easily yesterday afternoon... this was also one of the reasons he cared.

"You haven't gone to look, how do you know the bridge has already disappeared?" Morgan le Fay suddenly asked.

"Shishou said that bridge only exists for three hours..." Asher said.

"That was just her wording. She didn't want you to cross that bridge, so she lied to you like that," Morgan le Fay sneered. "Once you complete your training, you will leave her side. That woman has lived for so long and witnessed the deaths of so many people. Naturally, she hopes her beloved disciple can stay by her side."

Asher shook his head. "Shishou wouldn't be that selfish."

Quite clever, wasn't he? He hadn't fallen for it... Morgan le Fay clicked her tongue inwardly.

"But I think you're right. I should go take a look. If I just stay in place and act like a dwarf in action, I won't make any progress in this life," Asher said, bowing slightly after speaking. "So I'm very sorry, but I probably can't practice magic power circulation today."

"As the goddess of death, I will forgive your sins," Morgan le Fay waved her hand. Before Asher's eyes, the graceful woman actually transformed into a crow in an instant and flew into the distance, leaving only a voice in her place:

"Go."

Asher watched the crow disappear before his eyes and withdrew his gaze.

Now he needed to go to the small island he had visited yesterday to see if the bridge still existed...

---

Artoria stood on the small island, gazing in a certain direction.

The sunset had dyed the entire sea orange-red, shimmering in the distance. She stood barefoot on the soft sand, seemingly lost in thought as she looked at the sea.

It seemed like he wouldn't appear today, would he?

That was also true. Yesterday he had said that being able to appear here was just a very accidental coincidence. How could he possibly come here every day?

She should continue training.

Artoria raised the wooden sword in her hand, constantly practicing her swings. Today she had her hair tied up. Compared to the gentle girl of yesterday, she looked valiant and heroic at this moment, her emerald green eyes reflecting the light of the setting sun.

Whoosh!

Something suddenly attacked from a distance. Artoria reacted quickly, swiftly sidestepping the attack.

A small stone landed on the sand.

"Who's there?"

She suddenly turned her head to look. Asher was holding a newly found branch, waving and smiling. "Good afternoon."

Artoria was taken aback, then gave a faint smile. "Good afternoon."

---

After a round of sparring, Asher sat on the ground, panting, while Artoria's expression seemed as usual, as if she hadn't just been in a fight.

"I roughly understand how bad your so-called poor stamina is. You clearly have a lot of combat experience, but you often can't avoid attacks because of your stamina," Artoria said, shaking her head lightly as she finished. "What a pity."

"My stamina should slowly get better in the future," Asher said between breaths.

With the magic cauldron's enhancement, slowly conditioning his body every day, his stamina should be able to catch up to an ordinary person's level in less than a year.

"Are you really okay with giving me that ability called Rune characters?" Artoria said somewhat worriedly. "If I spar with you, I can also increase my combat experience. In this situation, you're also teaching me this ability..."

She seemed a little uneasy, looking up at Asher. "Are you really okay with it?"

"It's fine. Shishou said before that if I want to teach others, I can just teach them. It would be best if they could come to the Land of Shadows and defeat her, making her sleep forever," Asher waved his hand, indicating it was okay.

"Someone who can say such a thing must be a powerful warrior with extremely high martial arts skills," Artoria couldn't help but exclaim, the unease she had felt just now finally subsiding.

She raised her head, looked at the gradually setting sun, and supported herself on her knees to stand up. "Let's end it here for today. If I go back any later, my brother will be suspicious."

"I should probably head back too. After all, Shishou is very perceptive," Asher stood up as well. "See you tomorrow."

"Mm, see you tomorrow," Artoria reached out her hand. "Asher."

Asher reached out and shook her hand. The last rays of the setting sun shone on the faces of the two young boys and girls.
