Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Scáthach's Daughter

After Morgan le Fay's "destructive" training, by the time Asher returned, the pupils of his eyes had completely lost their highlights. Returning to the castle in the Land of Shadows, he walked into his room and collapsed directly onto the soft large bed.

Strengthening the use of magic power and practicing the ability of prophecy were not without their costs. Every time the magic power training ended, Asher felt extremely mentally exhausted, and today was the most severe time.

This was because it was his first time practicing the ability of "prophecy." Repeatedly using prophecy consumed a lot of magic power.

In addition, his physical strength had already been completely drained by Scáthach today, and Morgan le Fay had also squeezed out every last drop of his mental energy. It could be said that Asher had completely reached his limit today.

However, it wasn't a complete loss. In just this one afternoon, Asher was able to use prophecy. Although he couldn't reach the level of seeing through the future, it was already enough for ordinary combat.

This also surprised Morgan le Fay for a good while. She had long known about Asher's comprehension ability, but she really didn't expect him to learn the power of prophecy in just half an hour, and he far exceeded her expectations. It wasn't three seconds, but he could foresee all the dangers he would encounter within four seconds.

Asher lay on the large bed, his eyes gradually becoming hazy. The maid beside him helped him cover himself with the quilt, then quietly left the room.

---

"Asher!"

Asher had just fallen asleep when he vaguely heard a girl's voice in his ear, but he was too sleepy, so he ignored it and fell into a deep sleep.

"Lady Uathach," the maid bowed slightly, looking at the purple-haired girl in front of her.

"What happened to my brother? Why is he so exhausted?" Uathach turned her head to look at the maid beside her, lowering her voice to ask, afraid of waking Asher.

Uathach was an adopted daughter Scáthach had taken in a long time ago. If Scáthach's most proud disciple was Cú Chulainn, then Uathach was Scáthach's most doted-on disciple... or rather, goddaughter.

The girl was about seventeen years old, wearing a beautiful dress that revealed her round and slender snow-white legs. Her purple hair was scattered over her shoulders, and her pair of purple eyes were bright and clear, very eye-catching.

"It's probably because of the training with Lady Scáthach..." The maid didn't continue, but Uathach had already understood the meaning of the maid's words and frowned slightly.

"Mother is really... even if it's training, there's no need to do it like this," Uathach sat on the edge of the bed, gently smoothing Asher's soft hair on his forehead, her eyes gentle. She turned her head and whispered to the maid, "You can go out first. I'll take care of things here."

"Yes," the maid bowed slightly and left the room.

---

In the dark night, there were wolf howls and various roars of demonic beasts. In the lush forest, a man holding a spear was running with all his might.

Behind the man, various wild beasts and demonic creatures were chasing after him, roaring angrily at this human who had stolen their treasure.

Cú Chulainn, the hero of Celtic mythology, the Hound of Ulster.

"Oh dear, they're really persistent," Cú Chulainn glanced back at the spectacular sight of the beasts and demonic creatures behind him, a mocking look in his eyes.

Anyone who saw this scene would have their legs turn to jelly, because most of them were not ordinary animals, but demonic creatures.

Among them were demonic creatures resembling human faces but with the bodies of oxen, and giant pythons with three tails and one head, now flicking their forked tongues, their cold eyes fixed on the human ahead.

Without a doubt, once caught, what awaited Cú Chulainn would be desperate tearing and biting. In the fear of experiencing intense pain, he would be devoured alive by these wild beasts and demonic creatures.

But Cú Chulainn grinned, suddenly unconcerned, and looked down at the cup in his hand that looked very much like a skull. "Hey, looks like this is the real deal? It wasn't a waste of my special trip."

He quickened his pace, jumped onto a large tree, and then leaped up, landing steadily on another large tree, thus leaving the forest, leaving behind a group of beasts and demonic creatures roaring angrily at the forest's edge, like a chaotic dance of demons under the moonlight.

---

Asher lay on the soft large bed, not knowing how long he had slept. When he woke up, he saw that night had already fallen outside.

"How long have I been asleep? It feels like I've slept all day..." Asher sat up, covering his forehead, and muttered to himself in the empty palace.

"You probably slept for an hour and a half. Honestly, I'll go talk to Mother about it later," the girl beside him said with a hint of dissatisfaction. "She clearly knows you're not physically strong, yet she still trains you like this."

"Big Sister Uathach?!" Only then did Asher come back to his senses and notice Uathach sitting at the edge of the bed. This princess of the Land of Shadows had been adopted by Scáthach long before he arrived.

"I originally wanted to come and play with you, but I didn't expect you to be so tired that you fell asleep," Uathach raised her arms and stretched lazily, her snow-white neck looking very alluring. She tilted her head and asked, "Do you want to sleep a little longer?"

"No need... Besides, Shishou only hopes that I can have enough strength to protect myself, so she trains me like this. It has nothing to do with Shishou."

Uathach pouted her small mouth in dissatisfaction and reached out to pinch Asher's cheek. "Ash, have you forgotten what I told you before?"

"I remember. Big Sister said she would protect me," Asher nodded.

"Since that's the case, then why are you training so desperately?" Uathach stared at Asher unhappily. "Don't you believe my words? As long as I'm here, I will definitely be able to protect you."

"But I also hope that I can have the strength to protect Big Sister."

"..."

After a brief silence, a gentle smile appeared on Uathach's face. "Big Sister likes your answer."

After saying that, she patted Asher's head again. "Very good, very good, you're really a good boy. But you don't need to work so hard. It's okay to relax occasionally."

After saying that, she lay down on the soft large bed, holding one of Asher's arms. Asher could clearly feel the budding softness of the girl's chest. He subconsciously wanted to withdraw his hand, but it was firmly held in place, unable to move at all.

"Don't move!" she said in a commanding tone.

This was quite similar to Shishou, that high and mighty commanding tone.

Asher thought silently in his heart.

"Big Sister, if Shishou sees us like this, it might not be very good..." he had no choice but to say.

"It's okay. Didn't we used to sleep together when we were little? And we even bathed together. Are you still worried about this?" Uathach said with a giggle.

"Because of that, I was severely punished by Shishou that day..." Asher said helplessly.

"It's alright. Anyway, Mother is still in the main hall talking with Cú Chulainn. She definitely won't come over," Uathach said with a smile.

"Brother Cú Chulainn came to the Land of Shadows?" Asher was taken aback. "Didn't he complete his training?"

"Who knows? I don't know what he came for. Don't worry about him. Just rest well." After Uathach finished speaking, she ruffled Asher's hair, a smile on her face. "Alright, sleep, sleep."

"I just woke up. How could I possibly go back to sleep..." Asher looked helplessly at Uathach beside him, who didn't act like a Big Sister at all. "Big Sister, let's go take a look in the main hall."

"No, if you want to go, go yourself! I don't want to see that man. The way he talks is too annoying," Uathach released Asher's arm and snorted with a haughty look. "Let me say this first, if you leave now, Big Sister won't pay attention to you later."

Asher had just thought of getting up and leaving the room when he heard this. He was immediately in a dilemma, stuck in place, not knowing whether to leave or not.

Uathach glanced at him and giggled. "Just kidding. Big Sister isn't that petty. That person seems to have come specifically to find you. Go take a look in the main hall. I'll wait for you in the room."

"Alright, then I'll go take a look," Only then did Asher leave the room with a sigh of relief.

After watching Asher leave, Uathach lay back down in the spot where Asher had just slept, hugged the quilt, and rubbed her face against it, her pair of fair and tender legs against the quilt, rolling around on the bed.

"Hmm... it smells like Ash."

"Ouch!"

After rolling around on the bed several times, her head hit the nearby railing. Uathach covered her head and cried out in pain.
