....

On the planet "Varyon," one of the worlds ruled by heroes.

On a clear day, where sunlight bathed the city in its warm glow, nature pulsed with life. Trees swayed gently in the breeze as birds sang sweet melodies from their branches.

In the city, heroes of the (SS) class...

This city, shimmering like a jewel nestled among nearby mountains, was surrounded by breathtaking beauty. Its streets were clean and prosperous, with cars gliding smoothly as if dancing to life's rhythms.

Yet, while its inhabitants lived in peace and prosperity, shadows harbored sinister forces plotting to reclaim dominion over existence. From the mountaintops, one could admire this beautiful city, unaware that everything could vanish in the blink of an eye.

Amidst this serene day, invisible whispers echoed—the harbingers of an impending crisis. Would this peace endure, or would storms of evil soon engulf these safe havens? This is where the story begins, where chapters converge and evil emerges under a blue sky.

A hero of the (S) class spoke to his comrade about someone.

He began, recalling a past event with grave words:

"The world was nearly purged of evil when the wicked were slain or captured.

The only one we failed to capture was the legendary villain who toppled the Four Kings and drowned them in despair within justice's prisons.

They called him the 'Dark King.' I know many Dark Kings exist across worlds, but this one is different—he can plunge entire continents into 'void darkness.' Once trapped, escape is impossible even if you tear through space-time."

"You exaggerate! I heard he fled weakly from our forces."

"What flight? You don't know—we were the ones who fled. Had the three Catastrophe-level heroes not intervened, we wouldn't have survived."

"What?! Is there power beyond (SSS)?"

"Yes. He's a thousand times stronger."

"Then why couldn't they capture him?" his friend asked, stunned.

"They tried and failed. When the three Catastrophe-level heroes came, followed by their elite units—80,000 per hero—all elites... 50,000 of (S) class, 20,000 (SS), 10,000 (SSS)...

"That's immense! How many survived?"

"It was a one-sided massacre. Only the three Catastrophe-level heroes returned gravely wounded. One was struck in the back while retreating..."

"Impossible! Unbelievable—he's truly powerful."

"But according to them, he suffered critical injuries requiring years to heal."

"That's all we achieved? After such losses... how long ago was this?" he muttered, dazed.

"Ten years."

"Yes. Since we fought the wicked, we've enjoyed peace. But as the saying goes: peace lasts only if we eradicate evil's root."

After the hero finished, whispers filled the air...

"You claim you'll eradicate me—the root of evil? Hypocritical heroes. It seems you learned nothing from that night."

"Who speaks? Who are you?"

Moments later, the world trembled violently. Darkness swallowed the horizon. A gate tore open before them, and a dark sphere rolled into the city's heart. It expanded slowly, devouring everything—even your hand vanished if plunged inside. Apocalyptic scenes erupted: volcanoes raged, oceans overflowed, people screamed, and monsters assailed heroes from all sides. They would've perished had a man not waved his hand, freezing everything.

He materialized—a man in a billowing black cloak, face masked. Raising his hands skyward, he halted time and space. All felt trapped in an illusion, unable to move, transfixed by the floating figure. The man sighed...

"To all citizens of this world: submit or perish with your world. I am merciful—I'll only purge this world's heroes."

Time resumed.

"What?! You'll wipe us out? You dream! We surpass all past heroes!" they retorted arrogantly.

"So? If you're stronger than insects, does that mean you'll face me instead of submitting?" He remained unnervingly calm.

"Hah! What will you do then?"

The man sighed. "You leave me no choice." He glanced right at an (SSS)-class city and flicked his wrist. It vanished.

"What have you done, corrupt fiend?!" they cried in terror.

He stayed silent.

A guard approached: "Sir! He destroyed that city with a flick. I'll order retreat—"

"Dangerous, yes. But he can't stop us."

"Go. But only the wealthy evacuate. Draw a line—use the poor as shields... We'll rid ourselves of both him and society's dregs."

"Brilliant, sir! We'll earn public favor too. Haha!"

"Ensure flawless execution."

"Affluent citizens, retreat! Emergency protocol!"

The poor tried fleeing but were barred. Those crossing the dividing line were slaughtered brutally.

"Did you forget us civilians?!"

"We're not obligated to save trash like you."

Some stood shocked; others begged:

"Please, sir! Take us—we'll die here!!"

"So? No one cares about you. Begone, wretched peasants! Why help you? Gain nothing! Scram unless you seek death!"

Millions of poor, trapped within the line, screamed in terror. Above, the man smiled as if expecting this.

"Where will you run? After slandering me as evil? Does a black aura make one evil? You murdered my family—my little sister, my parents, my grandfather, all my kin. Why?!" His voice thickened with rage. "Because of you, filthy hounds of 'justice'! But I never imagined you'd repeat this with the poor... though expected from insects like you."

"Who are you? Why speak as if you knew we never cared for justice?"

"You're right. Even dogs are nobler than you scum. Wait."

He raised a finger, slaughtering every noble. Heroes who'd tried appeasing the rich watched their hopes vanish. The man laughed, having hidden all the poor—all in one instant.

"Now," he sighed, "we'll converse undisturbed."

"Enjoy the show."

Terror deepened. Dark tornadoes devoured everything, nearly swallowing the heroes before the man halted them. Overwhelmed, the heroes cried in unison:

"Who in hell are you?!"

"Me? Still acting? You truly don't recognize me?"

"No! We beg you, exalted one—honor these wretched insects with your name!"

He saw through their feigned submission.

"Flattery won't save you, vermin. You'll die regardless."

One laughed bitterly. "At least let us die knowing your name."

"Though I'd prefer watching you suffer... very well." He sighed. "I am the strongest wielder of darkness. The darkness lurking behind death. The one whose name makes you tremble. I am the 'Dark King.'"

"What?! The legendary villain! Why come here?!" Fear gripped them.

"A fair question. I came to fulfill a promise... to a child."

"A child?! How did you get here? Weren't you mortally wounded ten years ago?"

"Wounded? No. I crushed you all.

Even your three Catastrophe-class (XXX) heroes fell in one strike. Disappointing—I'd have spared existence if not for your filthier-than-dogs cunning.

One laughed: 'Kill me, and the whole world will hunt you!' I replied: 'Let them come. I'll erase every threat.'

Silence fell.

Then he seized a young girl, threatening me. I laughed: 'Aren't you justice's champions? Why this?'

His answer shocked me:

'Why risk my life for a poor, weak girl? I slaughter innocents and seize their wealth. I became a hero for money.'

The girl was shattered—learning even heroes were vile.

'Monster! Die, you justice-trash!' she screamed.

He released her: 'Go, garbage. But you, Dark King—I swear I'll behead you for this humiliation!' He fled skyward.

I stood bewildered. Instead of admitting guilt, he dared threaten me.

Energy burst from my hand, exploding him mid-air.

After eliminating that filth, I realized I'd forgotten the girl...

Amidst the carnage—heroes' corpses piled like mountains, rivers of blood—I found her.

'I got carried away. Didn't think I'd exterminate 75% of this world's heroes.'

I fell silent, feeling my humanity slipping. I'd nearly killed this child alongside the heroes.

She was beautiful, no older than seven. Her pink dress and leather shoes were bloodstained; she clutched a red teddy bear, trembling violently.

She stared as if asking: 'Will you kill or torture me now?'

But she surprised me:

'Sir Dark King... are you truly evil? Did you kill your family and thousands for darkness?'

I ignored her.

If I told her the truth—that heroes deceived the world, that justice was a fox in human skin, that they murdered my family and thousands for gain—she'd fear. A child shouldn't witness this world's cruelty.

I approached and patted her head.

'I'll spare them today... for you. Leave this continent—I'll purge them all. Your name?'

'Rita, sir villain— Oh! Sorry for calling you that. Nice to meet you. Visit me someday, okay?' Her voice was sweet.

'Goodbye, Rita,' I thought. 'If I control my humanity, I'll visit.'

She smiled. 'Goodbye!'

Sighing, I left the planet. 'Had I lingered, this world would've ended. Voices in my head chanted: Kill them all. I refused to destroy it.'

Bored, I created six worlds with six heroes of unique powers and systems to nurture them into 'dreaded entities.'

Their systems' final command: upon achieving immortality, when their worlds couldn't contain them, send them to the 'Arch-Villain'—me.

They became supreme in their worlds and arrived to complete their 'Prime Mission': kill me to save their worlds from annihilation.

I awaited them between worlds. From the start, I planned to be the villain.

'At the confrontation, they disappointed me. I erased their worlds first, then them. A waste of time.'

**Present Day**

"All these years... you mocked us about your power? You surpassed the dreaded entities from legend? How?!"

"Don't flatter me. Your heroes' final moments—watching their worlds and families crumble—were priceless. But I didn't stop there. I taunted them: [You're mere insects! Hahaha!]. Unsatisfied, I crafted millions of worlds with heroes to fight me—all near-invincible per their systems.

I gave them the same Prime Mission: kill me or perish with their worlds.

To ordinary people, risking oneself for amusement seems foolish. But to me? They're just naughty children for distraction.

According to the system's speed... they're arriving now. Hmm. You've truly exceeded expectations."

**Research Base in the Forbidden Zone**

In a desolate desert where golden sands meet an endless horizon, life is an illusion. Beneath a scorching sun, events unfold in a forbidden zone veiled in mystery. Winds howl forgotten tales; animal bones testify to nature's cruelty. A thorny cactus stretches skyward as if defying the coming darkness.

At the desert's heart stood a lodge—a façade concealing a secret. Who'd stay in such a wretched hut? Its windows were shattered, its door makeshift. Stairs beneath the porch led to a 100-meter-deep tunnel...

Inside the research base:

**ANCIENT ENTITY ALARM!** Screech—

"Impossible! This hasn't activated in ages!"

"What? A meteor? I don't care."

"Silence! Summon the Director! Tell him dreaded entities descend upon Earth! Mobilize all Hunters and armies! Emergency!!!"

A voice echoed, dripping with contempt:

"We're not here to fight you, mortals. You're but grime before us—we are the Immortals. Today, we fulfill the Prime Mission: slay the villain corrupting worlds. In our name and all heroes', we bring justice!"

The speaker was Shang Yu, strongest of the Immortals—arrogant, red-haired with golden teeth, lavishly dressed. His power? Wholly system-bestowed. Without it, he'd be worthless.

Applause rang out.

"Why not unite like Power Rangers? Farce wastes my time."

"Who are you?! How dare you mock us? You're trash swept by the wind compared to our planet-destroying might—"

"Trash?! At least I don't boast of crushing weaklings, 'heroes.' Or should I say... Power Rangers? Hah! Keep deceiving these helpless people. But mock me? The price is death. Can you pay it?"

A black cloak, long hair, trained physique, violet-black eyes... and that aura.

"The system's description! You're the Dark King!"

"And if I am? Will friendship or justice awe me? Three seconds: die here or in space."

"Arrogant fool! A title from mortals doesn't intimidate us—"

"Elder Brother Shang Yu, let me fight him! I'll end this swiftly. The worlds will know our true power!"

"Younger Brother Huang Fu, eager to return to your wives? Very well. But restrain your power—don't annihilate this fragile mortal world."

"Thank you, Elder Brother. I'll repay this favor. I'll hold back." Huang Fu smiled, his plump face creasing.

The Dark King remained absorbed until Huang Fu's voice roused him:

"You in the black cloak! I'll use 10% power—no quick death. Attack with your strongest! I'll crush every chance you have!"

"I care not for your threats. Tell your friends to reassemble your corpse after I scatter your pieces."

"You—!" Huang Fu snarled.

The battle began. Huang Fu attacked:

"Take this—Deep Sky Technique!"

Chi strikes rained from the heavens... yet none touched the Dark King. They rebounded instantly.

"What are you doing?! Finish him, Huang Fu!"

"Damn it! I'll raise my power! Don't blame me for overkill!"

He unleashed half his strength—earth quaked. The Dark King evaded effortlessly. Huang Fu maxed his power:

"Hahaha! This supreme strength came from my system—the more I eat, the stronger I become!"

No reaction. Only mockery:

"Foolish system. Fatty, you're not strong. Just a large cut of meat."

"How dare you mock me?! The last who did became a corpse! Witness true Immortal power—Emperor Yi Qing's Ultimate Technique: Three Thousand Energy Paths!"

He launched a devastating strike. The Dark King caught it effortlessly.

"He caught it?! That technique cost Emperor Yi Qing his life... and he just caught it?!"

"How?! My ultimate move—nothing to him?!" Huang Fu despaired.

"Pathetic heroes. Catching this weak technique leaves you gaping?"

"Playtime's over. My turn."

"Wait! No! Let me serve y—"

The Dark King flashed behind him. A touch to Huang Fu's back—

—He exploded into flying chunks of meat.

"You dare kill our younger brother?!" his siblings roared.

"Don't worry. You'll follow him soon... identically."
