Louis is not from this world, which is certainly surprising. A reality in which people can travel to other worlds does exist, and it is especially strange that he ended up in a world that once seemed like a fantasy to him. Such an event can only be explained by an infinite number of parallel worlds, including a world identical to the one depicted in the One Piece manga. However, all this is secondary and the main thing now is the journey itself.
Louis came here three years ago. At that time, his new body was only nine years old. He ended up in a family of a rich merchant, where he was the only son. But alas, everything collapsed when their house was plundered by pirates. The boy's previous personality died, and Louis, who passed into his body, was not in the best position. His life, which in the previous world was comfortable and secure, changed dramatically - he found himself on the brink of survival in dangerous seas.
Louis initially thought he could use his modern knowledge to make a living, but this world turned out to be much more cruel than he imagined. Any bandit could pin him to the wall, leaving no chance for salvation. As for business, there was no question of it, because here only the law of force rules, and only the strongest survive.
Resigned to the state of affairs, Louis accepted his fate. In the end, being a beggar wasn't so bad, because in this world no one paid attention to street beggars...
The turning point came a year after Louie began to realize where he was. After learning about the great pirate captains, he realized that this was the Grand Line and realized that his path to freedom was through gaining power. So, by starting to train, he gradually began to change his destiny.
And so, fate brought him together with Wade and Dylan. These two were the first good thing that happened to him in this world. Wade was five years older and Dylan was three. Both were orphans, like Louis, who were forced to fight for a living in the city, not wanting to stay at the bottom all their lives. Like Louis, they were training, and one day their paths crossed. And although at first they were just acquaintances, they later became great friends.
Living alone was difficult, but when there were three of them, life gradually began to improve. Especially with Wade, who, being older, was physically stronger than many adults.
Gradually, their life became more stable. But everything changed when they attracted the attention of CP agents. They were not asked whether they wanted it or not - they were taken to a training camp to prepare spies. Where their new life began, full of training: physical training, hand-to-hand combat, language learning, etiquette, history, mathematics, geography, intelligence, espionage and much more.
However, for Louis, the most important goal was to master the "Rokushiki" techniques - techniques that could transform him from an ordinary person into a true killing machine.
Unfortunately, their camp was training ordinary spies, and training in Rokushiki techniques was available only to the best of the best. But despite his age, thanks to persistent training and a "little secret", Louis was able to stand out, and even mastered one of the Rokushiki styles - "Tekkai", capable of protecting him from any blows.
After the training was over, the final exam began, on the successful completion of which their lives depended. Failure meant death, and there was no chance of escape - the control was too strict, especially with the presence of Vivre cards that allowed tracking the location of all candidates.
Their mission was to complete the task in three months. The South Blue was huge, and even traveling there and back would take a long time, let alone completing the task. But Louie and his friends made it in two months, completing the mission faster than expected and without a scratch.
And now, having returned to the camp, all they could do was wait for the others. Some of the participants had not yet returned, and many would never return - only death awaited them. Of all those who began this task, only a third were able to complete it successfully.
On the day of the final exam, Louie, Wade, and Dylan gathered at the docks. There were many silent people watching the approaching ships, hoping for luck. One of the ships managed to reach the docks in time, and several exhausted boys disembarked, happy to have been saved. The other ships arrived much later, and only the bodies of the losers were thrown off.
The exam is over.
....
It was barely dawn when a piercing siren sounded in the quiet of the camp. Louis, already accustomed to such a start to the day, calmly got out of bed. Then he took a bucket of cold water and poured it directly on Dylan, who was lying on the next bed. Dylan, without even having time to complain, hurriedly pulled on his clothes, and together with Louis went to Wade, who was waiting for them at the next barracks, from where they hurried to the training ground.
The rest had already gathered on the spot, but it was noticeable that there were far fewer people—their formation had thinned out considerably.
In front of the assembled group stood a whole row of gloomy instructors, among whom one stood out in particular - a tall, muscular middle-aged man with a serious face, holding a folder with documents in his hands.
"The training period is one year. One thousand three hundred eighty-one people entered the training," the chief instructor began to speak: "Six hundred fifty-six people went to the final exam, and only two hundred nine successfully completed the task and graduated. Congratulations, you are the ones who survived, and now you will become part of the CP as our proud spies!"
There was absolute silence all around. No one dared to break the gloomy silence. And the instructor continued: "Every year, our training camp in South Blue supplies many talents to the CP ranks, making a huge contribution to maintaining world order. I hope you will not forget what you have learned here."
For most of those gathered, this training marked the end of their training. In the future, they will have to rely on the skills they have acquired this year to survive subsequent missions.
"Now let's move on to the distribution," said the instructor.
The training camp was surprisingly generous in this regard, guaranteeing a CP unit assignment for every successful graduate.
"CP1: John, Jack, Tony, Prince..."
"CP2: ..."
The list of names continued until they reached Louis' acquaintances: "CP5: ... Dylan..."
Then: "CP8: ... Louis..."
The instructor read out the assignments of over two hundred people, then paused for a moment, licking his lips. There was no hierarchy in the CP ranks, from the first to the eighth division, only their tasks and functions differed. The assignments depended on the abilities and skills of each graduate, so that everyone could do their job as efficiently as possible.
"And finally, there were only two left," the instructor said, glancing at the last two whose names had not yet been called. One was Wade, standing right next to Louis, and the other was the guy on the opposite side, who was barely containing his joy.
"Under the old rules," the instructor continued, "the first to graduate would be eligible to join CP9. But this year there is an exception."
"CP9: Frank," the instructor said the name without much emotion, and then his gaze turned to Wade.
A smile flashed across his face and he continued, "And now, actually, the exception to the rule: Wade, CP0!"
"Hoo..." the instructor's words swept across the area like a whirlwind, and the tense silence turned into heavy breathing for everyone gathered. No one could believe that Wade had been assigned to the most elite unit, CP0.
The rule changed: the first in the ranking did not get into CP9, but directly into CP0, thanks to which the one who took second place was able to enter CP9.
"Instructor!" Louis suddenly said, raising his hand.
"What?" the instructor asked, frowning.
"I don't agree," Louis said firmly.
