Chapter 1 - chapter 01- The Beginning

Chapter 01- The Beginning

"In the beginning, there were Five Realms — the Mortal Realm, Immortal Realm, Divine Realm, Demonic Realm, and the Devil Realm. These realms once coexisted in tenuous harmony, their powers balanced and borders respected."

This balance was shattered when the Devil Realm — the most powerful among them — broke the ancient accord. Without warning, its forces swept across the cosmos, laying waste to the realms. The devils, drunk with bloodlust, turned their blades toward the heavens.

The remaining four realms, realizing their annihilation was imminent, united in desperation. They pooled their might in a war of attrition against the devil armies. Through sacrifice and valor, the devils were forced back and sealed within their own realm.

Yet, victory came at a steep price. The strongest cultivator of the Divine Realm perished in the final battle, leaving behind a prophecy — a vision of a time when the devils would rise again.

With his fall, the Divine Realm grew distant, severed mysteriously from the others. The Five Realms became Four, and soon after, Three. The Demonic Realm, embroiled in conflict with the Immortals, lost its home and was exiled to the Mortal Realm.

Today, only the Mortal, Immortal, and Demonic Realms remain — a fractured echo of what once was. Power lies in the hands of the Immortal Realm, whose spiritual energy governs the path to transcendence. Mortals seeking elevation must absorb immortal qi to ascend.

The Immortal Realm produces a single Immortal King every ten million years. This honor, long manipulated by the realm's ruling clans, falls under the dominion of three great families:

Fen Clan – Born with innate access to the Sea of Knowledge and heirs to the Soul God's legacy.

He Clan – Possess sword bodies passed down through generations, wielding the inheritance of the Sword God.

Chu Clan – The only matriarchal clan, bearing the bloodline of the Phoenix and protectors of the Phoenix Nest.

Peace now reigns under the Iron Sovereign — the first Immortal King in seven million years not born of any great family. Once a mere candidate supported by the Chu Clan, he rose to power when their chosen daughter yielded her chance out of love.

In a vast library of jade stone and floating scrolls, a boy sat in silence. He was small, barely five years old, yet his eyes gleamed with the maturity of someone far older.

He read with quiet fascination, absorbing the histories of the world.

Then — slam!

The door burst open. An elderly lady entered, her hair tied in a high bun, her robes fluttering with spiritual energy.

"What is our young master doing? Reading again? You haven't even opened your Knowledge Sea yet, and you're reading history like a scholar! Ha! I'm losing my mind."

She laughed, lifting the child gently. "Come now, young master Fen Hao. Today is your most important day — the day you start to open your Knowledge Sea and take your place as heir of the great Fen Clan."

Fen Hao sighed in his mind. (Even though I'm just five years old, my soul carries memories as if I've lived a decade… you don't have to keep repeating everything.)

She dressed him in ceremonial robes and carried him to the sacred altar of the Fen Clan.

At the altar, high above, sat Fen Hung — the current patriarch — and the elders of the clan, proud and imposing.

Dozens of babies were placed in the center circle. One by one, they touched the sacred pool that had formed from the sky-crack Fen Hung summoned with his blade. As the sacred pool water filled the altar, streams of light burst forth — gold, silver, blue. Each baby emitted an aura that marked their innate potential.

An elder observed with delight. "This generation is strong — especially that golden one. From the Second Elder's line, I believe."

Second Elder Fen Husin nodded.

Then came Fen Hao's turn.

As his tiny hand touched the pool, a surge of red and dark light exploded around him. The waters were drawn into his aura like a whirlpool. His body trembled — torn and rebuilt in an instant.

The First Elder stood in alarm. "Fen Hung… what kind of aura is this , what wrong with your son knowledge sea rank.? !"

Fen Hung smirked. "If even our mighty elders don't know, how could a simple patriarch like me?, we can only wait until he is 10 years"

The air filled with whispers until the First Elder released his spiritual pressure, silencing them all.

When the light faded, it was time for the talent stone.

"This stone," Fen Hung said, "contains countless ancient techniques. When a child places their right hand upon it, the stone reveals a technique suited to their potential."

The best record was Fen Hung himself — who once drew a divine-level technique at age five.

All eyes turned as Fen Hao touched the stone.

In an instant, he was pulled into a boundless space — an ethereal realm of stars and light. A carved stone hovered before him, inscribed with ancient text:

"To you who read this: If you desire a body that cannot be destroyed, then rise… and train."

Fen Hao scoffed. (Who wrote this nonsense? Well… whatever. I want to live a peaceful life with my future wife and children. So let's begin.)

He grasped the carving — and the vision vanished.

Golden light erupted from the talent stone. Onlookers roared.

"It's divine level! I saw the golden light myself!"

"Like father, like son! A new genius has been born!"

"Unfortunately, he is an abandoned child of our family…"

Cheers rose as the ceremony concluded. Later, in Fen Hao's modest room — small and worn despite his status — Fen Hung handed him a jade scroll.

It read: **Chaos Body Refinement: Level One**.

Fen Hao's face darkened. "...Seriously?"

Fen Hung laughed. "Indeed, you are my son. This technique is not easy. If you don't grow stronger… this world will devour you."

He stood. "Cultivate for ten years, and you can complete this technique."

*(Then I'll master it in five.)* Fen Hao thought. *(Don't worry, Father. I'll get strong.)*

Alone, he lay on his bed and closed his eyes.

In an instant, his spirit entered another world — a massive white castle, more majestic than anything in the clan. In the center stood a throne, flanked by seven others.

He walked to it and sat.

"Ahh… this is the place. I don't know what it is or where it came from, but it's was mine since birth. I can accelerate time here… up to fivefold. That's why I'm already ten years matured in spirit."

He glanced at the other thrones — each marked with a mysterious tattoo. One bore an ice flower…

Five years slipped by like a fleeting dream…

After the ceremony, Fen Hao remained quiet. Even though it was over, he didn't show any improvement in his cultivation. No one could feel any spiritual qi within him, so people began to think he had no talent at all. They didn't respect him and started to avoid and mock him.

Fen Hao's reputation was poor from the beginning. His mother was unknown, and his father, Fen Hung, had disappeared for ten years on an expedition when he was young. When Fen Hung returned, he was already an Immortal Lord and brought back a baby — Fen Hao, who was just a few months old. Because Fen Hung was so powerful, no one dared to challenge his decision. That's why Fen Hao could stay in the Fen Clan and be named young master, even if no one truly respected him as one.

One day, Fen Hao knelt in the main hall, his father's furious gaze fixed upon him.

"Do you know your crime?" Fen Hung demanded.

Fen Hao replied quietly, "I know."

"Then tell me your crime," Fen Hung said sternly.

Fen Hao looked embarrassed. "Even though I'm ten years old now, I shouldn't have asked the maid to go on a date with me…" He flushed with shame. (Damn it, who pushed me into this mess?)

Fen Hung sighed. "Ah. This is my fault. I didn't realize my only son was feeling lonely and jealous because he has no fiancée. Don't worry, son — I will choose one for you tomorrow."

"What? Wait, Dad! That's not it…" Fen Hao tried to protest.

Fen Hung cut him off. "Enough. Go practice.."

Fen Hao gritted his teeth in frustration. (I was trying to find a date for you, Dad! If I knew who my mother was — the woman who left us — I would… no, I can't blame her. I don't know the situation yet. Father only told me she was beautiful… and I suppose I can see that in myself. Dad is so handsome, with black hair and red eyes. I have black hair too, but my eyes are blue. My eyes must be from my mother…)

He took a deep breath and forced a small smile. (I wonder who my fiancée will be. Hehe… I suppose I'll look forward to it.)
