Chapter 1
"Han Jue, 4th stage of Qi refining realm, failed." A loud voice echoed continuously in Han Jue's ears as he made his way back toward the outer disciple quarters.
Since he had failed the assessment test, today was going to be his last day in the sect. Without wasting any time, Han Jue immediately began to pack his belongings upon arriving at his quarters, stuffing a pouch full of one hundred low-quality spirit stones at his waist.
"Junior Brother Han, how did the sect assessment go? Did you pass the test?" It was Senior Sister Li Hua, one of the few people who had been kind to Han Jue in the Sword Cloud Sect, where the strong reigned over the weak.
"Greetings, Senior Sister Li," Han Jue replied, raising his head slightly to look at her cute yet plump figure. "Unfortunately, I failed the test, as I'm still stuck in the 4th stage of the Qi refining realm."
Han Jue had been part of this sect for the last five years, and during that time, he had also been at the 4th stage of the Qi refining realm. It was said that he would be one of the few who would pass the criteria without having to go through the sect assessment test. However, five years later, he was still stuck in the same realm, and moreover, he was being kicked out of the sect.
"That's such unfortunate news, but since you're already a 4th stage Qi refining cultivator, I believe your life down the mountain won't be that bad." Li Hua, noticing the sad expression on Han Jue's face, tried to calm him down. What she didn't know was that Han Jue had accepted his fate for the last two years.
Initially, Han Jue had given his all to cultivation, but after seeing not even the tiniest results from his hard work, he realized that instead of wasting the resources he received from the sect, it would be wise to accumulate them and use them after he was kicked out. Thanks to this visionary idea, he now had more than a hundred low-quality spirit stones.
"Senior Sister Li, thank you for your kind words; I'll take my leave now," Han Jue said, then walked away from her, leaving her staring at his back. She sighed, "If only you had passed the assessment test, you could have become my partner." But since Han Jue had already failed the test, it didn't matter anymore.
...
Unaware of Li Hua's thoughts, Han Jue walked toward the entrance gate of the Sword Cloud Sect, planning to get one of the sect's steeds to descend the mountain. Thankfully, he was allowed to do so.
"Alright, let's get down the mountain and start a new life, shall we?" Hopping on the horse, Han Jue yanked the reins, making the horse gallop forward.
With two years of free time on his hands, Han Jue had already made most of the choices he intended to pursue. The first of these was to find a good house and then get married. Unable to cultivate, he felt it was best to settle down with a woman of good qualities and see if he could dual cultivate with her.
Though he didn't have any dual cultivation manuals, he was confident that with the amount of spirit stones he possessed, he would be able to secure a good house and a good wife and the rest, well he could try on in whatever amount of time he had left in his life.
Descending the mountain with the horse's help didn't take much time and after two days he finally arrived in sun-rose town, which was the nearest town to the sect, since Han Jue had been here for a quite a few times while he was disciple of the sect, he decided that it was best to not settle in this town; because if he settled here he could encounter his fellow disciples working hard to thrive in cultivation, which could be disheartening for him, as he had failed in that aspect.
But one thing he could get from this town was a beautiful wife, so in the end he decided to settle down in the town for few days and complete his task.
"Welcome, esteemed customer to our tavern, what kind of room are you looking for purchasing?" Since Han Jue was clad in his cultivator robe, the moment tavern worker saw him approaching, he was met with a polite greeting.
"I need a room for three days, with food and all necessities included." Since he was not any short on spirit stones, Han Jue decided to enjoy his life for now before settling down.
"Please come in esteemed customer." The tavern worker with a smile guided him inside, and then took him toward a large desk behind which a woman, in white robes that accentuated her figure and assets like a fine jar, and then whispering something in her ears, he walked away after greeting Han Jue once again.
The woman behind the desk with a cute smile looked at Han Jue, and then folding both of her hands, opened her red lips, "Esteemed customer, the room you're seeking in falls in the second level of facilities we offer at our tavern and it would cost you total of 30 Coins for three days of stay."
"That's alright." Han Jue looking at the woman said, while handing over three low-quality spirit stones to her, since one low-quality spirit stone amounted for ten coins; morever, transection in spirit stones wasn't that normal in mortal towns, so seeing the spirit stones, the woman behind the desk flashed him even wider smile while saying, "please, follow me esteemed customer."
Ding... You've completed your first transaction..
Just as Han Jue was about to follow the woman, he suddenly heard a ethereal voice buzzing into his ears, it felt like a fairy was chanting some mantras.
Ding... congratulations to the host for activating the 10XRebate system.
