Knowledge of the Crimson World

This volume is simply for knowledge of the worldbuilding of the Null, Nemesis of the Crimson series.

The world-

700 years ago, the Crimsons, a race of vampiric monsters emerged and killed many people whilst turning many more into Crimsons. It spread like a plague and many civilisations fell. The Crimsons do not need to eat, drink or sleep and have superhuman agility, strength and speed as well as many more powers which make them almost unstoppable. Humans now live in high-walled city-states to be safe from the Crimsons. These are usually ruled by militaristic councils or leaders of fear-driven faiths.

Null-

The main character of my story is Null, a boy thought to be completely normal until he realises he is immune to becoming a Crimson and obtains their powers after killing them- something which has never been heard of. He has no family or friends but seeks to destroy the Crimson race along with his allies Ari and Shinq. He has charcoal-grey hair and eyes and is usually seen wearing a cloak. He is nice towards others due to his past of being bullied.

Crimson Hierarchy-

There are 4 levels of power for Crimsons:

The top level is the Arch-Crimson Primar, King of the Crimsons and the original who started the plague. Not much is known about him and he hasn't been seen in hundreds of years by anyone other than the Crimson Masters. No one questions his power and he is the most powerful Crimson. He can whisper into the minds of every Crimson at any time and he has echoes of screams constantly surrounding him. He has every Crimson power, including the abilities of the Masters. If the whole of humanity was to fight him, it is possible he would still win.

There are three Crimson Masters, one from each Crimson House which are given an immense amount of power from the Primar. However, if Primar wished he could still kill them easily. They are served by their Crimson Generals and it would take an army to defeat just one of them.

Next are the Crimson Generals. Although there are hundreds of them, they are still extremely powerful and lead missions sent by the Crimson Master of their house. It would take around a hundred humans to kill one of them.

The rest of the Crimsons are Chainlings. These make up most of the Crimsons and usually listen to every order a Crimson General gives them. Although they are the weakest of the Crimsons, it would still take around ten humans to kill one of them.

The three Crimson Houses-

There are three Crimson Houses which have their own traits and Master, along with different physical features.

The Crimsons of House Umbra have pale skin and elongated limbs with completely black eyes. They are led by Soule, a powerful Crimson who has the power to teleport.

The Crimsons of House Varnyx have more grotesque, twisted bodies with bone-white and blood-red skin, with many exposed muscles and bones protuding from them. Their Master is Cazrathi, a towering, grotesque figure wrapped in chains and stitched armor. Cazrathi has the power to mutate his body instantly however he wishes and turn his limbs into weapons.

The Crimsons of House Solvane are noble and often beautiful but unsettling with red or golden eyes and horns. They usually wear elegant robes or regal armor. The Master of House Solvane is Seraph, who wears a veil of silk and a cloak of shadow. She has the power to shapeshift into any creature she desires.
