Matthias was furious looking at all the sheets of photos scattered on the table showing moments together with his wife. His every move had always been watched by his mother, no wonder he was not free to do anything outside the house. Now that his relationship with his wife was back to how it was before, would his mother still not approve of their relationship anymore?
"Mom, what does all this mean?!"
The mother slammed the table with a glare. "You are truly blinded by your wife's love! Ever since you had a relationship with her, you haven't been able to think straight. Don't you realize she is your enemy's daughter?!"
"I did notice that."
"Then? What are you going to do now?"
"Even though mother doesn't approve of our relationship, grandfather still likes Victoria."
The mother laughed sarcastically while holding the glass cup tremblingly. "I will talk to your grandfather properly. I should have realized it from the start so that you would not have fallen in love with Victoria."
"I still love her."
"Are you crazy?!"
"Yes, I am crazy. Victoria is very different from her family. She is not cunning and she is very nice to me."
"What if she betrays you later? Will you still forgive her?" The mother took a sip of black coffee. "Especially since you two haven't communicated with each other for two years."
Matthias clenched his fists tightly. "It was you guys who separated us! I never intended to leave Victoria."
"But, she was the one who left you secretly and now her family is blackmailing us! Every time I asked about Victoria, they gave me answers as if they were hiding Victoria somewhere. Then, half a year after you left the country, I saw Victoria dating another man."
"Mom, about that–"
"Anyway, I will find a way for you to live happily with another woman. Victoria is not worthy of being your wife!"
Matthias was fed up with his mother who had always controlled his life. He got up from the sofa while straightening his shirt.
"I will protect her until the end of my life. I deeply regret that I failed to protect her before."

On the other hand, Victoria began her secret mission to explore the entire luxurious residence. She was very grateful to Matthias for inviting her to stay in this luxurious house. Maybe she could get some evidence about the accident that happened two years ago. If Matthias was her real husband, there should be many traces or memories left in this residence.
Although this was her first time visiting this house, she was already very comfortable living in this house and already considered it like her own home. Moreover, she felt familiar with every room she visited. Was it true that she herself designed this luxurious house?
The first thing she did was sneak into the study. In his mind, maybe Matthias had a secret room in his residence to store important documents. However, her efforts were in vain even though she had felt every cupboard, drawer, table, vase, bookshelf, and wall.
Quite tired from adventuring in several rooms of this house, Victoria took a short break in the living room while looking around her with narrowed eyes. Again, without realizing it, tears of sadness wet her eyelids. Actually, what has been wrong with her lately? Why did she look so whiny even though she rarely cried? Was this because Matthias often tortured her in the past? There were many bitter memories that she went through that caused her to have a fatal accident two years ago.
"Matthias is so rude! How dare he always make me cry every time!"
However, there was one thing that immediately disturbed her mind. When she was looking for evidence of the accident she had in the study room, she happened to observe a proposal document from an interior design company that was her main competitor. As far as she knew, her competitor was a subsidiary of the F&C group. The largest company in the country. However, her competitor always played dirty games that caused losses in various companies. Although it was not revealed openly, she learned this dirty secret from her partner.
"If Matthias were to cooperate with that person, then he would likely be harmed. Should I save him from this trouble?"
On the one hand, Victoria was still reluctant to save the annoying man who was now her husband. Matthias had destroyed her dreams in an instant. Why would she bother doing this? If she saved Matthias, Matthias would fall even more in love with her.

"Are you done with your business?" Victoria greeted coldly.
Matthias smiled mischievously, moving his lips closer to the red lips in front of him. "Did you miss me? I was only gone for two hours."
Victoria shook her head nervously. "No. Why would I miss you? I was actually happy to see you gone for so long."
Matthias actually realized that his wife was crying again, seeing her eyes a little teary and red. However, for now he had no right to ask her directly because their relationship was still like strangers.
"By the way, I'm going to play golf with my business partner tomorrow. Do you mind being home alone?"
"Who do you want to play golf with?"
"Anton." Matthias frowned. "Speaking of which, why are you suddenly interested in my activities?"
It just so happened that she wanted to save Matthias. Now it's looking for a way to get that collaboration really undone.
"It's okay. It's just that I've heard that person's name from many people."
"You're not mad that we didn't go on a date on a holiday, are you?"
