On the continent of Solmara, Warriors and Mages follow distinctly different paths to power.
Mages gather mana through meditation, wielding incantations and runes to command elemental forces and unleash devastating magic. Their strength stems from their understanding of arcane principles, and each spell they cast consumes the mana stored within them.
Warriors, however, temper their physical bodies and refine their aetheris. They rely not on magic, but on warforms. The strength and purity of their aetheris depend on the codex they cultivate.
Warforms/Codices are graded into five tiers:
Mythic-Tier, Legendary-Tier, Arcane-Tier, Ember-Tier, and Mortal-Tier.
Each tier is further divided into three grades—Initiate, Prime, and Ultimate—making for fifteen levels in total.

The ranks of a Mercenary Legion are typically divided into eight levels.
Class-F, Class-E, Class-D, Class-C, Class-B, Class-A, and Class-S.
Above Class-S, there is a fabled highest level: Class-Mythic.
