When they arrived near the Suzuki's residence, all of them quickly left the car. They ran through an alley.
After reaching their destination, they discovered a disaster.
"What the hell is this?" all of them expressed out of shock.
As Akari saw the disaster, her eyes turned lifeless and then she screamed out of fear.
They were all shocked by what they witnessed. A crime scene happened in the Suzuki residence.
A man forced the Suzuki father—Ryoichi, and Suzuki mother—Aiko, to commit suicide bombing. The evidences were in the floor. Additionally, the youngest sibling—Suzuki Akane, had blood all over her legs and was only half-naked. The same man sexually assaulted and killed Akane.
Akari was so shocked by what had happened that she fainted out.
"Ichika, keep an eye out for Akari for a bit," Takeshi shouted as he pulled out his gun.
Rikuu was shaking and unable to move. He thought to himself, "What have I done!?"
Rikuu saw a man with a gun in the middle of the thick smoke.
He looked at the anonymous man with anger and wrath and shouted, "I'm gonna tear your body apart and kill you!"
"Huh, like you can," said the anonymous man.
In all of a sudden, he heard a gunshot. Fortunately, his body started to move on its own. He came very close to being shot.
The anonymous man accelerated towards Rikuu and stabbed Rikuu's shoulder.
Because of the severe damage, Rikuu screamed as he was knocked down. As he saw the man, he was unable to identify who it was for the reason that man is masked with Kaosu's logo printed in it.
The man kicked Rikuu's face and said, "Remember this, you'll die before me."
Takeshi shouted, "Y-you...who are you!?" then he tried to kill the man with his gun but the man easily dodged it.
Takeshi was taken aback.
"Hey kiddo, remember this, I am the man who'll destroy Kakusu and Tokyo. I am the man who will cause the downfall of justice. I am the man who is the most powerful. I am 18 19," said the masked man and then he laughed evilly.
As the man laughed, Ichika thought to herself, "Who is this guy? Why is he doing this?"
In all of a sudden the man appeared in Ichika's back.
"Take good care of Akari," the man said then he kicked Ichika's back. Ichika was knocked down along with Akari.
As Rikuu lifted up his head, he saw that the man was wearing both Ryoichi's diamond watch and Aiko's valuable jewels.
Rikuu thought to himself, "T-those are dad's and mom's," and then he shouted, "Stop right there!"
Rikuu quickly stood up and sprinted towards the man. He tried to hit the man with his knife multiple times, but the man kept dodging it and even managed to punch Rikuu four times.
For the fourth punch, Rikuu was once again knocked down. The man took the opportunity to run away.
Aa the man ran through the thick smoke, Rikuu noticed that the man was wearing the identical coat that he had previously seen on the tree. Rikuu became more lifeless than before.
Rikuu shouted, "Remember this, I'll kill you and destroy Kaosu!"
-ICHIKA'S APARTMENT-
After getting back to the apartment, Takeshi made a tea for everyone.
As Takeshi opened a room's door and was about to give Rikuu a tea, Takeshi saw Rikuu crying while holding his stabbed shoulder.
He thought to himself, "Rikuu... it's the first time I've seen you cry."
Takeshi left Rikuu alone and went to Ichika and Akari, which were in the living room. Takeshi saw Akari sleeping on Ichika's shoulder while crying. He also observed that Ichika was calling the Kakusu's higher-ups.
"Yes, that happened earlier at the Suzuki residence."
"I understand, we'll send troops right away," said Akihiko on the phone.
"Thank you, dad. Please hurry up," said Ichika and then she hung up on the phone.
Ichika saw Takeshi and said, "Oh, it's you. Hurry, we're going back to the crime scene."
-SUZUKI RESIDENCE-
"Please remain at least 10 meters away from the house," said a Kakusu's member.
After gathering the corpses, they looked for evidences. However, the same thing occurred as it did on the previous coat—the culprit left no trace.
"No traces, Aikihiko-sama," said a Kakusu's member on the phone.
"Is that so? Then please get out of there as soon as possible," said Akihiko and then hung up.
"You're Ichika Katou right?" a Kakusu's member asked.
"Y-yes," Ichika replied.
"Please follow me with your friends. We're heading to the headquarters," said the Kakusu's members.
-SHINAGAWA, TOKYO CITY, JAPAN-
-KAKUSU'S HEADQUARTERS-
-1:25AM, FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2020-
"Suzuki-chan, Suzuki-kun, how do you feel right now?" Asahi asked as he approached the siblings.
Both of them remained silent and Ichika noticed it. She held Rikuu's hand after she patted Akari's head.
Ichika said, "I would like to say something. I'll just pretend that I am them for the time being. As I've witnessed a lot of blood flowing through the floor, I also experienced the most traumatic moment of my life. I noticed a man racing through the mist—no, in the smoke. We had a little fight and I was stabbed at my shoulder."
Ichika chuckled and then scratched her head.
She added, "That's all I know; only the original knew the rest."
Once again, Shoto asked Rikuu, "Suzuki-kun, how do you feel?"
Rikuu remained still and refused to say anything.
Due to that, Akihiko sent all of them home.
"My deepest condolences to both of you, Suzuki siblings. As for now, you may take leave. We assure both of you that you'll experience peace and justice."
-ICHIKA'S APARTMENT-
Akari cried uncontrollably and blamed Rikuu for what had happened when they arrived Ichika's apartment.
"Hey you. Rikuu, it's all your fault! If you didn't get too greedy about that coat, mom, dad, and Akane would still be alive right now. It's because of your greediness!" Akari yelled at Rikuu as she pulled Rikuu's shirt.
"Yes, I admit it. I apologize, Akari," said Rikuu as he patted Akari's head.
In spite of that, Rikuu's still lifeless.
He added, "I'm leaving for a moment."
Rikuu went outside, sitting by the edge of the river still unmoved and not speaking. Suddenly, tears dropped from Rikuu's eyes.
In Rikuu's surprise, he felt Aiko's hug from behind. However, he noticed Ichika when he turned around.
"Why are you here?" Rikuu murmured.
"Of course, I'm here for you!" Ichika replied.
Rikuu began to cry once more after staying unmoved for hours.
"Come here, come here. Let your little person hug you," said Ichika as she hugged Rikuu.
She added, "It'll pass, I assure you that."
"Why did that man killed them? Why not others? Why did that happen? Why Exactly?Why?" said Rikuu as tears dropped from his eyes.
"Everything occurred because fate permits us to experience suffering, even when it's the worst. Don't worry, Takeshi and I will be here for you and Akari."
-SUZUKI RESIDENCE-
That evening, Takeshi took action. He carried a knife, a gun, and wore a camouflage outfit.
"All right, time for an action!" said Takeshi.
To conduct more investigation, he traveled to Suzuki residence.
When he arrived there, to his surprise, he saw some odd numbers carved on a piece of wood.
"What is this? A code or something?"
He realized he had discovered a code with Kaosu's logo. After the hunt, he walked home.
While walking, he looked at it. 9 11 21 26 21 19 + 21 21 25 18, the code read.
"What possibly could this mean?"
The sun shines, but Ichika and Rikuu are still sitting by the river, having a chat.
Ichika does this on purpose to lessen Rikuu's sorrows.
While chatting with Rikuu, Ichika thought to herself, "I hope Akari and you will forget about it once the time comes. I'm always here for both of you."
In all of a sudden, Ichika noticed that her heartbeat's going faster.
She thought to herself, "Why is my heart beating so fast?"
As Akari wakes up, she's still crying and with tears in her eyes and cheeks.
She stopped being energetic that day and became the quietest person ever. She hasn't said single word the whole day and Ichika noticed it.
"How are you feeling right now?" Ichika asked.
Akari ignored Ichika as she was laying down while facing the wall. Ichika felt sorry for Akari as she had never witnessed her best friend ignore her in such a way due to depression.
Ichika thought to herself "I really am sorry for Rikuu and you Akari. I promise you, I'm always here for you, Suzuki siblings!"
