Sharp, pulsing pain greeted me as consciousness returned. My eyes felt like they were filled with sand, and my mouth tasted like something had crawled in and died there. I forced my eyelids open, immediately regretting it as harsh morning light pierced my vision.
Where the hell was I?
This wasn't my bedroom. The unfamiliar hotel suite swam into focus as I pushed myself up, noticing immediately that I was completely naked. My wolf stirred anxiously within me, just as confused and disoriented as I was.
"What the fuck?" I muttered, trying to piece together fragmented memories. The Blood Moon Tavern. Talking with my pack members. The beer that tasted wrong. Then... nothing.
"Good morning, lover."
That voice. My blood turned to ice as I whipped my head around, ignoring the stabbing pain the movement caused.
