Chapter 12 - Lord Territory

Time passed until nightfall...

But we weren't scared—even though it was already dark—because the robots beside us could automatically detect and eliminate any approaching zombies. Their cold, mechanical presence brought a sense of safety and silent reassurance.

We had successfully gathered four trees and four fruits. However, I had already fed one of the fruits to her, so only three remained. I smiled gently, watching her exhausted expression as we walked under the dim moonlight. Her cheeks were flushed from fatigue, and her breathing was light.

Without a word, I suddenly crouched down and carried her on my back. She let out a soft giggle and hugged me tightly, resting her head against my shoulder. I didn't say anything—I just kept walking steadily back toward the fortress, letting the quiet night embrace us.

While walking, I began to ponder the total number of points I had gathered so far. There were 755 points in total, and combining them with the existing 555 points, I now had 1310 points.

"Good enough," I muttered under my breath. Still walking, I opened the system interface again and decided to spend 800 points to upgrade the system shop three times.

Satisfied with the upgrades, I closed the interface. We finally arrived at the fortress, and I gently laid her down onto the bed. She immediately drifted off to sleep, her peaceful face illuminated faintly by the flickering lights of the power system.

With her safely resting, I commanded the robots to begin constructing a garden for the trees I had collected. I hadn't forgotten to retrieve the special soil required—ordinary soil wouldn't be enough for these trees to grow. As expected, another 25 meters of space was consumed, but the area now looked more vibrant and alive.

Turning my attention back to the shop, I browsed through the extensive selection. There were swords capable of cutting down super zombies in a single blow, bombs powerful enough to level cities, and even barriers that could form another layer of defense.

But none of those were urgent right now.

What I needed was armor.

I scrolled carefully through the system shop, pondering what the best armor set would be for my current situation. Then my eyes widened slightly—I found it. It could have been the best starter armor for most people, but compared to my current equipment, it was even better.

Star Gazer Armor.

It cost 500 points.

The armor would increase my speed by 0.5x every minute, up to a maximum of 6x speed stack. The longer I stayed in combat, the more powerful I would become, with up to 6x power amplification. On top of that, it came with automatic defense features that could block several attacks from even Super Zombies.

It was perfect—especially when paired with my current ability, Sword Light.

Feeling satisfied, I then glanced at the lone Golden Ticket I still possessed in the Ability Lottery section. My lips curved into a small smile as I selected it and initiated the draw.

[Ability Lottery...]

[Lord Territory] – Within the Fortress of the House, everything will be 2x stronger—only including what the host allows or restricts.

---

I nodded, feeling pleased. This ability would be immensely efficient in the long run—especially once more people began living within my territory. It gave me full control to empower or limit those within, making the Fortress not just a shelter, but a beacon of growth.

I stared down at my hand for a moment, then looked up at the ceiling, exhaling slowly.

Before I knew it, the garden construction was complete.

The robots had done an excellent job. The soil was laid properly, the structure was solid, and the lighting was just right. I carefully planted the trees in the garden one by one, and to my relief, everything went smoothly. Another section of space had been used up, but it was worth it. The fortress now felt more alive, more hopeful.

I yawned deeply, stretching as I leaned against the wall.

There were still so many things that needed to be done…

i next Eated the Fruits immediately it was sweet as Noel says and delicious slowly i Eated one

i could feel the difference my body become stronger slowly and after eating the 3rd one i just now felt the huge change
