Cherreads

Chapter 7 - BD7

The quiet environment made Ivan very grateful to the administrator, Madam Pince. The rule prohibiting loud noises in the library was indeed necessary.

As a book on the basic theory of Transfiguration spells, "Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration" is not difficult to read, but the thick pages are obviously not something that can be finished in a short period of time.

An hour passed in a flash, and Ivan's hand had only turned a little more than one-third of the page. After thinking for a while, Ivan continued to read with his head down. By the time he finished the whole book, another hour and a half had passed.

After reading for more than two hours, Ivan felt a little dizzy when he put the book down.

These ancient magic books usually like to add some strange and incomprehensible words, as if only in this way can the mystery of magic be revealed. This makes people like Ivan, who are used to studying modern books, very uncomfortable.

"Maybe this is what a wizard is..." Ivan murmured to himself, thinking that this rather metaphysical way of thinking might be the wizard's talent.

Anyway, he can't understand it!

[Ding, after a period of careful reading, you find the "Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration" boring and difficult to understand, and your proficiency in the Transfiguration spell has improved slightly.

Note: Reading progress of "Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration": 27%]

The system prompt sound that sounded in his mind once again caught Ivan off guard, because it did not trigger the corresponding prompt when he was reading the textbook during class.

Do I have to finish watching it?

Ivan suddenly noticed the difference. He had never finished reading any magic book before. This must be the difference.

After coming up with an idea in his mind, Ivan turned to complain about the system's prompt sound, which was no different from the game log.

Ivan felt that although there were some parts he didn't understand after reading the book, it wasn't boring or difficult to understand, right?

Ivan could understand the 27 percent reading progress.

Anyone who has read a book knows that finishing reading does not mean that you can remember all the knowledge in the book and apply it freely. Otherwise, wouldn't everyone be able to get full marks in the exam?

"Now let's see how powerful the so-called Academic Master Experience Card is." Ivan whispered to himself, and then spent a hundred points to redeem the Academic Master Experience Card.

[Remaining time: 00:59:59...]

In an instant, Ivan felt as if something had exploded in his brain. The knowledge he had learned recently and the contents of the books he had read seemed to pour out continuously, and were classified and summarized in just half a minute. All kinds of thoughts gradually became clear...

It feels like you are used to using an old, shabby computer and suddenly replace it with the latest model.

A minute later, Ivan opened his tightly closed eyes and gently stroked the cover of "Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration" with his right hand. Although he had not opened the book yet, the content he had read before had already emerged in Ivan's mind.

The words and sentences that originally seemed obscure and difficult to understand seem to have a new interpretation when combined with the context.

As a basic book used by Hogwarts to teach young wizards, "The Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration" must have been revised many times and is refined and concise... at least for wizards.

By the time Ivan turned the pages of the book to savor it again, he had actually already generally understood the content of the book. All that was left was to reread the parts that he had skipped before and didn't understand.

Page 3, Chapter 2... Page 7, Chapter 13...

Ivan's hands were rapidly flipping through the "Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration", and the index of his reading progress in his mind was also increasing rapidly...

In just twenty minutes, Ivan had finished reading the entire book again.

[Ding, after a period of careful reading, you feel that the "Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration" is simple and clear, without any challenges at all, and your proficiency in the Transfiguration spell has greatly improved.

Current reading progress of "Beginner's Guide to Transformation": 100%!

Reading reward: 5 academic points]

[Transfiguration has reached level one, current proficiency (12/200), reward of 5 academic points]

The moment Ivan put down the book, two reminder sounds rang in his mind.

It is worth mentioning that Ivan did not feel anything about the upgrade of the Transfiguration Spell. There was neither an upgrade special effect of a golden light on the spot, nor did he feel any other upgrading effects.

Only after understanding the principles of the Transfiguration Spell, Ivan felt that casting the Transfiguration Spell was no longer a problem. At least, turning a match into a silver needle was easy for Ivan.

Even if he holds the not-so-powerful magic wand in his hand, it will not affect his performance, at most the effect will be slightly weaker.

This is consistent with what Ivan had guessed before. Proficiency and increase will not directly improve his strength, but it is more like expressing his strength through proficiency.

Seeing that the expiration time of the academic experience card was about thirty-seven minutes away, Ivan did not stop at all. He sprinted to the bookshelf and picked up the nearest book "Detailed Explanation of Basic Spell Principles" and started flipping through it.

As soon as he started reading it, Ivan felt that the book was thicker than he had imagined. The content of the book was the analysis of commonly used magic spells and some conjectures about the composition of magic power.

If Ivan had read this kind of purely theoretical book at other times, he would probably have found it boring, but this time he read it with great enthusiasm. He even ignored the system prompt sound that sounded in his mind in the middle of the reading, and immersed himself in the ocean of knowledge.

However, Ivan's expression suddenly changed when he was halfway through reading the book. He felt as if his originally clear brain was covered with a layer of white fog, and his constantly flowing thoughts were forcibly interrupted.

This feeling is like when you are about to ejaculate, but then someone starts you off and forces you to hold it back.

Am I suddenly becoming stupid?

Ivan looked at the detailed explanation of the spell's principles in front of him in a daze. For a moment, he found it difficult to adapt to the change in his IQ.

Ivan didn't react until he stood there for a long time. He tapped his dizzy head gently and took a closer look to find that the thirty minutes left on the Academic Master Experience Card had already passed.

Ivan looked at the half-unread page of the book in his hand and reluctantly opened it again. However, the content of the other half seemed to have suddenly become profound and difficult to understand. His reading efficiency dropped several times at once. This was hard for Ivan, who had experienced the benefits of the academic master mode, to accept.

After reading a few pages, Ivan sighed and put down the book in his hand.

After experiencing the academic master mode for an hour, Ivan had a deep understanding of the power of this exchange.

This is not just a matter of increasing the learning speed several times, but also includes the comprehensive improvement of comprehension and thinking abilities. It can definitely turn a poor student into a top student or even a god-level student!

There is almost no problem in learning knowledge that is difficult to understand. Just learn it!
