Chapter 3 - Another World

7 Year's Ago___

When Kevin opened his eyes, he first felt discomfort and dizziness. As his eyes adjusted, the first thing he saw was a beautiful woman with blonde hair and green eyes looking at him with great affection.

Kevin's first thought was that he must be in heaven. Then he heard a voice, but it sounded like someone speaking in a foreign language.

" #@&#_@& y$#a a$&s a@#s"

When he looked around, he saw a man standing nearby with brown hair and a gentle smile on his face, who was also looking at Kevin with affection.

When Kevin saw this, he felt very strange. The man raised both his hands and lifted Kevin up easily. When Kevin was lifted in the air, he was shocked and confused because his weight was around 160 Lbs - how could this man lift him so easily?

Kevin thought that perhaps he had gone into a coma, which might have caused him to lose weight. It was also possible that when his accident happened, some of his body parts might have been damaged and removed during operation. When he thought of this, Kevin felt a chill run through him.

" #@&#_@& y$#a a$&s a@#s"

Then the blonde-haired woman spoke again, but he still couldn't understand what she was saying.

When Kevin looked around, he realized he wasn't in a hospital - there were no nurses or doctors nearby. The interior of the room was entirely made of wood, as if it were from an old era, though not too ancient.

Since the man was holding Kevin up, he brought his face close to Kevin's. When Kevin saw that the brown-haired man was bringing his face closer to his and seemed to be trying to kiss him, Kevin's heart sank. He thought.

'Whoa, easy there! I'm a grown man! If you're gonna do that, pick someone else!'

Kevin tried to turn his face away and speak, but a different sound came out - one that Kevin couldn't believe was his own voice.

A few months had passed.

Kevin was now certain that he had been reincarnated as a baby boy. This realization came gradually as the brown-haired man and the beautiful blonde woman repeatedly lifted him up and... breastfed him.

During those moments, Kevin felt overwhelming embarrassment and shame, his mind screaming, "Woman, what are you doing? Can't you see I'm—" But then reality would crash back down on him.

He was now a baby, reincarnated into this new body, and his infant form needed nutrients to survive. There was nothing he could do but accept this humiliating reality and go with the flow.

The blonde-haired woman appeared to be in her mid-twenties and was strikingly beautiful. The brown-haired man seemed to be around thirty years old, with kind eyes and a gentle demeanor.

But the most crucial discovery was that his memories remained completely intact. He hadn't forgotten a single detail from his past life, and this filled him with both relief and determination. His memory hadn't been erased, confirming that he had truly been reincarnated—given a second chance that most people only dreamed of.

This time would be different. He would use this opportunity to redeem himself, and to live his life with purpose and dedication. The failures and regrets that had defined his previous existence would not be repeated. He was determined to make this second life count.

Half A Year Passed By

By now, Kevin had begun to understand bits and pieces of his parents' conversations by listening to them speak.

Kevin realized that because of his adult mind, he was quickly understanding the language around him. It was also possible that his new body was helping his mind work better than before. He noticed that the native language of this place was quite similar to his previous language, which would make it much easier for him to understand.

His body had also grown stronger and more developed—he could now crawl. Being able to move around, to go from one place to another by crawling, felt incredibly comfortable and wonderful.

For the past few months, when he couldn't move on his own, he could only be carried around, laid down, and picked up. It had become extremely boring for Kevin.

Looking around the house, Kevin saw that most things were quite old-fashioned. The utensils, spoons, plates, tables, and other furniture were all made of wood. When he peeked outside through the window, all he could see were green fields stretching far into the distance. There were only a few houses nearby, while others seemed to be scattered far apart from each other.

Kevin realized that this was probably a village - a very rural area, far from any big city. The peaceful countryside setting was completely different from his previous urban life.

"Look, whenever I take my eyes of him, he starts crawling away. See, there he goes again!" the blonde-haired woman said with amusement.

"It's wonderful that he's so active now, crawling everywhere. That's a very good sign," replied a younger woman who appeared to be in her teens. She has black hair and hazel eyes.

"He still barely cries. Only occasionally," the blonde woman observed.

When Kevin was first born and didn't start crying, everyone had panicked, but once they felt his heartbeat, they had breathed a collective sigh of relief.

Kevin only cried when he lost control of his bodily functions—when waste would escape from below, causing him discomfort. He would cry to signal that his clothes needed changing. Kevin had no control over this embarrassing reality either.

Kevin had realized this wasn't Earth the day Kevin tried to climb out of his cradle and fell, injuring himself. When he got hurt, his mother, who was nearby, quickly rushed over and scooped him up, her voice filled with concern. She could see that the back of his head had turned red from the impact.

She carefully extended her hand and hovered it over the wound without touching it, then spoke clearly.

"By the power of God, granted to those who can no longer stand—let thy mercy descend! HEALING!"

When Kevin heard this, it initially sounded like the kind of comforting words people might say when someone gets hurt—like "there, there, pain go away."

Suddenly Kevin felt like crying at this moment. But just as he was processing this thought, his mother's hand began to emit a soft, glowing light. Then, in an instant, the injury that had been throbbing with pain completely vanished.

Kevin was simultaneously amazed and thrilled. This confirmed beyond any doubt that this wasn't Earth, but another world entirely—a world where magic existed and was actively used.

A world where there might be magical sources of power and entirely different species. There could even be dragons and elves in this world, Kevin thought with growing excitement.

A Year Passed By

Little Kevin found himself in a wooden bathtub getting a bath from Fiona, a teenage girl around 19. Since his parents were always busy with work, Fiona came by almost every day to help take care of him. She lived nearby with her mother.

Fiona had long black hair down to her waist and pretty hazel eyes. Kevin thought she was really beautiful, but in his adult mind trapped in a baby's body, he couldn't help but notice she was... well, let's just say she was still waiting for puberty to work its magic.

"Poor girl," Kevin thought to himself as Fiona gently washed his tiny arms.

'Maybe I should pray for her to grow up well.' It wasn't that she was completely flat - she had something there - but Kevin's grown-up brain made him feel oddly protective of this kind teenager who played with him every day.

As the warm water splashed around him, Kevin made a promise to himself. Unlike his previous life where he'd died full of regrets about being lazy and accomplishing nothing, this time would be different.

'I won't waste this second chance,'he decided, even as Fiona made silly faces to make him giggle. 'I'm going to live seriously this time.'

Just then, baby Kevin buried his tiny head against Fiona's chest, letting out soft, muffled baby noises. Deep down, he wasn't sure why—but it felt warm, soft..comforting. Maybe even a little too comforting. A faint thought echoed in his barely-formed mind.

'I didn't get to enjoy this in my last life… Might as well make up for it now.'

Fiona burst into giggles. "Aww, you're so cute! But sorry little guy, there's nothing gonna come out of there no matter how much you squeeze," she said with a laugh, gently pulling him back.

"I guess you're hungry though - your mom should be home soon."

Kevin's face turned red with embarrassment, even though babies can't really blush properly. In his mind, he was having a full-blown crisis.

'This is mortifying! I'm a grown man... well, was a grown man... oh no, what if this becomes a habit?!'

Meanwhile, Fiona just thought he was being an adorable, hungry baby and continued splashing water playfully.

"You're such a silly little one," she cooed.
