Chapter 1 - The Witch without Magic

Walking through the market place all smiley face, Vivienne strolled through with her pack basket at her back.In it were different types of weeds she had gotten from a nearby meadow that was close to the south side of the forest.

Her platinum hair bounced slightly as she walked through the crowd with her ever shining violet eyes navigating the way.

The further she went in through the market, the louder the whispering voices grew in number.

"Isn't that the scary witch?" A child in the crowd whispered loudly to his friends in a corner as she passed. "Shh, she'll hear you" another one said.

Vivienne was already used to this kind of attention from people. This type of discrimination is normal for her. It's been there since the day she was born.

She didn't understand why people used to call her a witch when she was a child. She'd often go home crying in a dark corner alone. She didn't have any powers to be called a witch to begin with. But as she grew up,she begun to slowly adapt to the name.

The only person who saw her as a normal person was her mother who died when she was 10. After her mother died, she's been struggling to live peacefully with her father and her two older brothers.

Even though she adapted to the name, it still bothered her at times why they called her that just because of her features. No one in her family has her features, not even her mother. Sometimes, she wonders if she was just taken in by her mother.

Luckily for her, she was able to get out of her father's house and live alone on the outskirts of the town close to the forest. If not for the fact that she needed to pass through here to get to her home, she wouldn't have even bothered coming here.

She intentionally paused at a stall with bright lemons, pretending she might buy one. She knew she wouldn't, no one would sell to her.

A woman hissed behind her,"Don't look at her,Kellan."

Vivienne turned. Her gaze met a bipoy no older than 10. He was staring up at her with wide eyes. His mother yanked him back like he might catch fire.
