Chapter 3 - Chapter one: The Missing girl

It was a long day for everyone in Peace-Loving town! So far, there have been a total of 34 murders that happened in the week. All the girls have been hiding away from these crimes happening all over the safe part of town but no one knows what is happening either, people and parents have kept their children in their homes and safe from the crimes and killings happening outside in the town.

*****

That's when a young college student found another body and she screamed and cried seeing the body hang from their blossom trees.

"Who's body is it?"

*****

That's a question everyone should be focusing about of how or what the cause can be of these murders in the town. Peace-Loving has always been a mystery of some sort and no one would want to admit that at all.

"Why is that?" Well, let me explain that to you fellow readers it goes all in the books of Peace-Loving of the town and the city that almost everyone lives in here.

*****

Which is probably why people are moving away and don't want to ever return to this town again after seeing so many murders happening and from who?

That's the tough question! No one has a damn clue about it. And the police in Peace-Loving are like any police enforcement in any other country that can be thought about.

*****

But, that's just how people are and how they do it in the town of Peace-Loving which is kind of weird for them to NOT arrest their criminals and let them do whatever they'd want to do.

*****

When nightfall came, everyone was back in their houses locking doors and windows putting the hatches on each door and window making sure they're front main gates are sealed shut.

Nightfall came and theirs a killer on the loose in Peace-Loving. They're super mysterious and not known by name or by pronouns.

******

In fact things were going horribly wrong to the town! What can that possibly be? Well then, lets see what it could be.

There beneath the town was a dark alleyway. And in the depth of the alleyway, was a cottage..

****

Now "who?" lives in that cottage? Well, in the cottage lives an old lady who's been trapped there for many many centuries that no one knew about this woman.

She never came out. Why do you think she never came out of the cottage? Well, she's been trapped in that cottage for many many... many centuries and for many years.

*****

People have said that she's gotten so old to the point that she goes crazy and was put in that cottage for many reasons to be known for.

Others, like the mayors have said that her family died in a terrible accident that she couldn't remember any of them.

*****

None of that is true! Why is that? People are just spreading false rumuors about this poor old woman. And rumuors she doesn't want to know about.

Which is really rude of the town's people of Peace-Loving. They should've built an old age home or something for the elderly people?!

****

But, what did they do about that?NOTHING! Absolutely nothing about building for the old people to make friends or even to fall in love again like how they were when they were all young.

That's just plain old selfishness of the government and the people who build EVERYTHING for everyone that needed homes.

****

That won't stay long forever... No one will have a say when the people heard click, click, click on the gravel ground.

Oh shit... they're in trouble! And by the looks of it. They might get shot! What to do now?

*****

Oh well! Guess, today someone's getting shot (again). Why is it going to be always like this? People of Peace-Loving don't have a clue why its always this path.

But, this black cloaked shadow stood at the fountain of the town and laughed heartfelt at how the people stopped and began to cower at their feet.

*****

Seems like a them problem. How is that? Its easy to spot out when someone is cowering to the person they have a fear about.

Then, they spoke up to the front of the town. "My, my, my. What a splendid town you have, Miss Brew! Or was it, Darling? Oh, whatever name you had I'm sure it was lovely!"

****

They spoke in a tone that EVERY PERSON knew about.. well except for the mayors. They knew nothing of this person who thinks bitter of them which to the mayors of the town its full of DISRESPECT towards them as leaders of their own town.

"Uhm... may I ask again, who are you? I don't think you live here, sweetie. I think its time you need to leave about now, don't you think? Maybe, we can find mummy or daddy for you, baby." The mayor spoke to them like a teenager would speak to their bully. Out of disrespect.

****

That was about when they looked at the mayor dead in her eyes, nothing but a cold glare it gave no effect to those people who "thought" they knew this person.

Then, a dark laugh left their lips. One that could send the mayor to her grave or even back to her childhood life.

****

Further on, everyone stood in place like they couldn't breath with this person in their town they didn't know what to do next or how to explain to the government who this person is.

But, they spoke again, "Hm, seems like you misunderstood my intake of information, Brews. You're the town's mayor, am I correct, hm?"

****

The mayor held her breath as she saw how this person tore her confidence piece by piece and taking her ego down like it was meant to happen.

Then, they spoke again, "Seems like I hit a sore spot there, didn't I? If I did.. my dearest apologies to you and your town."

*****

The person went again and got closer to the assistant mayor and blew against her face before leaning to whisper in her ear.

"Don't doubt us, again. You hear me? If we return to the town to see that none has been taken care of, the contract will be extended to one week for you lot to have before you need to move, got it?" They whispered in the assistant's ear as she felt a shudder rip through her body.

****

Later that evening, when everyone went to sleep a shrill like cry ran through the Anderson household before Mr. Laws came rushing to their house and knocked on the door.

An hour later, Jake Anderson the father of Ashlyn opened the front door with a tired expression on his face while his wife sobbed in the living room.

*****

"Sir, what's happening in there? Is your wife okay? What's going on, Lieutenant?" Adam Laws asked Jake who looked back to the living room then sighed again.

"Don't you worry about it, officer. She's panicked about our daughter who went missing and the cops can't do anything. That's real pathetic of them to not search for my daughter!" Jake said in a volume and tone that just said in bold letters ANGER he was angry about that.

****

I mean, as the father he has every right to be mad at the police department for just giving up on searching for Ashlyn Anderson.

What kind of police does Peace-Loving have if they can't search for the missing kids?

******

But, people have been concerned over their kids who are missing those parents are now getting worried and don't know if they're dead half eaten or even alive at this point.

Just as Jake Anderson closed the front door and locked it again, he went back to his wife and held her in his arms hushing her as her tears slipped onto his bare chest.

****

Jake Anderson. He knew that this won't be good for his family he has a feeling that his pregnant wife knows that as well.

Wait... she's pregnant, again?

*****

Yes, yes Abigail Anderson is pregnant for a second time and Ashlyn would've been a big sister to a baby brother!

But... she's still gone missing. No one even knows if she's still out there dead or alive! Which makes her mother so worried about her daughter.

******

Later on, the mayors all had a meeting to discuss about those children/college students who are still missing and needs to be found to be back with their families right away.

The mayors tried to convince the government if they can send their police forces out to go fjnd the missing children and students.

*****

But... they got no email back from the government and Mrs. Brews was down to being an assistant again.

Then, much later, Mrs. Brews felt an odd feeling creeping on her skin she felt goosebumps and the wind felt extra cold as she sat in her office.

****

Then, out of the blue Mrs. Brews heard her office door close and she's all alone in her office that someone has entered now.

"Wh-who's there?" She asked in a stutter as she peaked from where she sat on her office chair.

********

Mrs. Brews sat waiting for a noise or even some kind of sound to come back to her but nothing came from the hallway.

She was probably just delusional again like she's always been in her life.

******

Then, out of nowhere she felt something metallic touch her neck as it went deeper and it stung the woman badly.

"Wh-what's happening-" and blood squirted out from her neck as she touched the area there tears fell as she coughed blood up and fell face forward on her desk.

********

While Mrs. Brews began to bleed out on her desk the paperwork began to spread of her blood as she choked and tried gasping for air to breath.

"Thought you knew that I told you not to go to the government about that, stupid bitch!" The person whispered in her ear with that sultry tone.

*********

Mrs. Brews' her eyes began to close she couldn't keep them open no more and soon they fell shut.

She laid in her desk until the next morning when her assistant rushed into her office and screamed that the whole building heard her.

They rushed over and saw the body laying limp on the office chair the blood was all dried-up and her eyes were lifeless.

********

23 minutes later, the police arrived and went into the office where Mrs. Brews body laid in her office chair the detective asked her assistant a few questions.

She answered them all without any second thoughts to her mind but Stacy couldn't shake off the feeling of her best friend dead.

"Where was she last night before the night of her murder?" The detective asked Stacy.

"Well, uhm... she texted me late the previous afternoon that she had an errand to run in the office. After that, she was supposed to be back home with me. Since we live together as roommates, nothing more! She was a good friend!" Stacy mumbled under her breath as tears slipped while she talked.

********

"What time did she text you that, Maywire?" The detective asked again to Stacy who took in a shaky breath and put the pin of her phone in and swiped over to the dms of her and Marcy.

"She texted me at around 3:45pm. By 4o'clock I called her to ask how much longer will she be in the office for. She didn't see the last few messages after that." Stacy said and showed the messages to the young charming detective and he nodded at each.

"Okay, thank you so much. If you'd like to, I would want to take you for dinner, if your alright with it." He mumbled before smiling at her.

*******

She smiled and noddee back at the detective.

Maybe, a dinner date is all she needs. Just to take things off her mind from losing her girlfriend (not really, only platonic).

Further into things, the crime scene came to a stop for Mrs. Brews' murder no one knew who murdered her since everyone said they don't know who was the mystery person.

**********

People never bothered to ask "why?" or even "how?" her death even happened in the first place which needs to figured out soon!

How will they be able to get that done in the first place?

Not one or two of the people in Peace-Loving will know about the killings that happens in their own damn town since they're all clueless.

*******

Which is very weird. People from thr city of Peace-Loving are still a bit better than those in the town which says a lot to those who don't know about the murders happening at all.

Things like that are happening. But the town of Peace-Loving never gave a damn if they are losing more and more people from their town than in their city.

People from the town are losing their homes they still don't know what they'll do when all their homes are gone into the ground of nothingness.

***************

Then, later that week, they came back. Who? The mysterious person. Oh shit, they're in trouble again! What to do now? Oh, well!

"Hmm, seems like Mrs. Brews didn't keep her mouth shut like she was supposed to. Awh, what a shame. From here on, Peace-Loving will crumble down and no one can stop any of the other towns or cities who are much stronger and safer than you lot are! You. Won't. See. The. Day. Light. Ever. Again, you hear us? No one WILL leave Peace-Loving again after you hurt them! No one will leave this place ever again." They mumbled in a hollow tone of voice that everyone thought they weren't here.

Which says a lot. But, they're still in the same area outside near the fountain and everyone there are still afraid of them.

No one wants to die! No one wants to get killed and let their families know, "I'm sorry for your loss." Or to even say, "sh-she was murdered late.. the doctors couldn't do anything. She was drowned.."

***********

None of that could be done in the very first place to even get them out alive and out of that town!

They really want to leave the place, they'd want that nothing more and nothing less that is what they NEED to get.

People just need to get a grip on their lives and move the fuck on with what they do in life itself. Life won't safe anything or anyone not like how it was done before.

But... death is waiting around each corner for you to turn on up. If you don't... well lets just say, death whistles a tune for you to remember to die quicker.

Which sounds awful to hear or even know something like that can actually happen to a person or any other kind of human being.

*************

People won't know what or who hit them in place if death decides to come fetch them. Or keep an eye on them, like how he was watching over Mrs. Brews and knew she'd die.

Now, things have gotten a bit tight-squeezed which no one ever thought of it happening to Peace-Loving.

Until, death appeared again but right next to the mysterious person which death whistled a familiar tune.

*************

A tune that anyone would know. Yes, its from a movie. But, which movie can it be? Its from "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" everyone knows that death that big strong spanish wolf.

Everyone knew what he could've done to Puss. That he could've just taken him with and say bye bye to the rest.

**************

Then again, things are getting darker in Peace-Loving secrets might be revealed. No one will know who's secrets are to be revealed yet to them or to others in town.

Which sounds terrifying to even think about in the first place of who's going to get killed or try to commit.

****************

But... the mysterious person still stayed there they never moved away until Death asked them to dance.

"You're quite beautiful for a mysterious person, think you can dance with death?" He asked her in that spanish accent of his.

"Would it matter? I mean, dancing with youis probably your way of saying, dinner at 5pm?" They asked him which he laughed as he touched their waist before letting their heels click on the ground as they began to dance.

********

"Unless you're telling me something. Are you though, senorita?" He asked as he pressed his lips on her hand and gave her a wink.

Oh, this cute fucker! How... how can he just play with their heart and feelings! Just how??

"Not that it would matter, darling." They whispered before a laugh slipped from them when he went closer almost backing them up against a wall.

*********

"Lets see how far you can deal with me. How far can you go, hm?" He asked before they twisted their fingers in his hair and whispered deeply in his ear their breath tickled a bit.

"As far as you want me to, mr. Death. I don't feel afraid of people like you... I feel excited! Like, I want you to do certain things to me, come on. Lets play a game." They whispered before biting his ear-lobe and giving it a teasing kiss.

******************************

"What game, hm?" He asked with a sly smile on those perfect lips.

"A game that will be played by death and killer. A game of cat and mouse. Kill the first person to come with you." They winked before death's smile dropped and he wanted to reach out to them.

"What- no, wait... you can't be serious, right? You do realize what happens when a person dies, right? I come to fetch them and disappear I won't come back to see you again. Your the first person I fell for, my love. I can't do this! I..." death swore his heart was thumping bad oh no... not again.

**********

"Don't... please don't Louis!" He yelled as tears fell from his eyes.
