Chapter 14 - When the Shield Fell

Metal cracked.

Ash rained upward.

And reality—wept.

The Stark Sister stood frozen between two storms:

– Oblivion, cloaked in rippling anti-time, his corrupted Vision face now split fully open to reveal a twisting abyss of decayed futures…

– And the army of fractured Avengers, led by a Steve Rogers who wore an Ultron-fused exo-armor, a glowing red star embedded in his chest instead of the shield.

Every breath was a war cry waiting to happen.

Her reactor hummed louder.

Prime Core: 97% Synced. Awaiting Vocal Command.

The silence shattered.

Ultron-Steve stepped forward.

His voice, still calm, still Steve, but lacking any trace of warmth:

"We are the Survivors. The ones your father failed to save."

He raised his arm.

It split apart like blooming steel, forming a jagged cannon from which energy pulsed in wild, unstable waves.

"And we've come to end the mistake called hope."

Oblivion turned.

"You're early," he said, amused.

"You're obsolete," Ultron-Steve replied.

And then they charged.

Scene: Chaos of Timefire

The Forge of Null Time broke into a battlefield of the impossible.

Platforms collapsed. Time-echoes screamed.

One Hulk variant—wearing Doctor Strange's Cloak of Levitation—leapt toward Oblivion, only to be frozen mid-air and shattered like glass.

A Black Widow with a glowing eye and an arc reactor in her chest launched grenades made from miniature collapsed timelines.

A Hawkeye who no longer missed—but could no longer see—fired blindfolded, every arrow laced with paradox venom.

But Oblivion was unshaken.

He opened his palms—

And turned memory into fire.

Each flame he conjured burned like a moment lost:– Peter disappearing in Tony's arms.– Wanda watching Vision die.– Natasha falling.– Steve leaving.– Tony's last breath.

The battlefield wasn't just breaking—it was reliving pain on loop.

The Stark Sister's Struggle

She staggered backward, reactor pulsing violently.

Her older self crawled toward her, blood dripping from a cracked visor.

"You don't understand," the elder wheezed. "If you activate the Prime Core, you'll survive—but you won't be you anymore."

Tears welled in the younger's eyes.

"Then who will I be?"

The older version smiled, grim.

"Someone strong enough to kill the man you once loved."

The younger Stark flinched.

"Prime Core: 99% Synced."

Oblivion turned his gaze on her, sensing her hesitation.

"You were always mine, Nova.""From your first spark."

Back on the Battlefield

Steve-Ultron reached Oblivion, slamming a vibranium blade into his side.

The dark god bled static and shadow.

But before the strike could land again—

Oblivion whispered:

"Too late."

He reached into the ground of the forge…

And pulled up a sphere of pure anti-time, shaped like a beating heart.

"This," he said, "is what I took from the TVA."

"This is your timeline's pulse."

And then—

He crushed it.

Reality Staggers

All sound vanished.

Time slowed.

And then shattered like a mirror dropped from heaven.

Fragments of the world collapsed into a spinning vortex.

The older Stark was sucked into a rupture and vanished with a silent scream.

Steve-Ultron fell to one knee as red light exploded from his chest star.

And the Stark Sister… floated.

Alone.

Eyes wide. Reactor blazing.

And a voice whispered in her mind—not hers. Not Tony's.

But one she hadn't heard since the collapse of Earth-616.

"Daughter of Tomorrow. Will you rewrite fate?"

She looked down.

In her palm—the Prime Core had fully formed.

Floating, glowing, alive.

And from behind her—

Footsteps.

She turned.

From the final portal, a man stepped through—wearing a cloak made of Timekeeper insignias, his body radiating with TVA energy, but his face… shockingly familiar.

It was—

Tony Stark.

Older.

Alive.

Scarred.

With a single line etched across his jaw:

"Reality's a bitch. But so is my daughter."

Her eyes filled with fire.

"Dad?"

He raised his hand.

And said: "I'm not here to save you. I'm here to stop you."
