Chapter 15 - "A Day as Spider-Man."

Jasper looked down at the high-tech web-shooter in his hand and grinned."This is awesome! I really like it."

Peter Parker smiled back."Yeah, it's pretty cool."

Jasper tucked the web-shooter away and said,"Time for class!"

With his new toy in hand, Jasper could barely sit still. The urge to try it out was eating him up inside—he really wanted to test the web-shooter!

Later that afternoon—

As soon as class ended, Jasper bolted out of the room."Web-shooter time~!"

He jumped right out the back gate of the school, but before he even touched the ground, Peter Parker appeared in front of him.

Peter said,"You know, if someone sees you doing that, it could be a problem. So... how about spending a day as Spider-Man instead?"

Jasper looked at Peter and asked,"You got a date or something?"

Peter thought of his plans with Gwen Stacy, then nodded."Yeah."

Jasper laughed."Nice going, bro!"

He patted Peter on the shoulder."Alright, I'll do you a favor and be Spider-Man for a day."

Peter nodded.

Then he handed over his Spider-Man suit."You'll need this."

Jasper nodded back."Yeah, but I'm taller than you—will this even fit?"

Peter replied,"It stretches. It'll fit."

So Jasper took the suit and headed off.

He found a quiet alley and quickly changed.

Seconds later, suited-up Jasper leapt out of the alley."Whooo-hooo~!"

He swung wildly through the skyscrapers, having the time of his life.

Suddenly—"Help meee~!"A scream rang out.

Jasper looked down and saw a white guy trying to mug a Black girl.

No hesitation—he dove straight down.

The guy shouted at the girl,"Stupid N-word! Give me your money!"

She was frozen in fear, screaming nonstop.

"Aaaahhh!!"

The mugger raised his knife angrily.

"Whoa—dangerous move!" Jasper swooped in, snatched the knife, and kicked the guy away.

Of course, he didn't kick too hard—he didn't want to kill the guy.

The mugger stumbled up and tried to run, but Jasper wasn't about to let him get away.

He shot a web and wrapped the guy up like a burrito.

Then he turned to the girl and said,"Maybe you should call the cops?"

She nodded and said,"Thank you, Spider-Man. I feel like I should repay you somehow."

Jasper tilted his head and said with a smile,"Well, if you ever see someone in need and you can help—just do it.See ya, girl!"

He fired off another web and zipped away.

A few moments later—

Jasper spotted a runaway sports car speeding out of control.

He jumped in front of it and managed to stop it with sheer strength.

Turns out, the driver was a stunningly pretty girl.

Rich girl, clearly.

But then—Jasper suddenly felt danger.

"Beep! Beep! Beeeep!"Another car was coming fast.

Without missing a beat, Jasper picked up the sports car with the girl still in it and jumped to safety.

He set the car down gently, then took off again.

"Man, if Spider-Man helps people like this all the time... no wonder he's always tired."

Back by the car, the girl got out and said in awe,"A superhero..."

That night—

Peter Parker came home and saw his Spider-Man suit tossed on the table—totally wrecked.

"Hey there~"Jasper popped up.

Peter couldn't help but ask,"You came in through the window again?"

Jasper nodded, already changing back into his own clothes.

"....."
