Allison sat in the hospital bed, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. She was finally getting discharged from the hospital, and she couldn't wait to get back to her normal life.
Liam walked into the room, carrying a bouquet of flowers and wearing a bright smile.
"Hey, beautiful," he said, handing her the flowers. "I heard you're being discharged today."
Allison's face lit up with a smile. "Yeah, I am," she said, taking the flowers from him. "Thanks for the flowers. They're beautiful."
Liam shrugged. "I figured you could use a little pick-me-up," he said.
As they waited for the nurse to come and finalize the discharge paperwork, Allison's phone buzzed with an incoming text message. She looked at the screen, frowning when she saw that the message was from a strange number.
"Who is it?" Liam asked, noticing her expression.
Allison shook her head. "I don't know," she said. "It's a strange number."
Liam's eyes narrowed. "Be careful," he said. "It could be a spam message."
But Allison's curiosity got the better of her. She opened the message, her heart racing as she read the words on the screen.
"Allison, your father is not dead, i held him captive, and within three days, if you didn't appear to me, i will kill him, tell me when you are ready, i will send you locations, and dont forget, dont let your response exceed three days, or else," the message read.
Allison's eyes widened in shock as she looked at Liam. "What does this mean?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Liam's face was pale. "I don't know," he said. "But we need to be careful."
Allison's eyes were fixed on the screen as she scrolled down to the bottom of the message. There was a video attachment, and Allison's heart was racing as she hesitated for a moment before pressing play.
The video showed a man who looked familiar, yet different. He was beaten to a pulp, his face swollen and bruised. He was struggling to breathe, his chest heaving with effort.
Allison's eyes widened in horror as she realized who the man was. It was her father.
She felt like she had been punched in the gut, her breath knocked out of her. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.
Liam's face was pale as he looked at the video. "Oh my god," he whispered.
Allison's eyes were fixed on the screen, her mind racing with questions. Who had sent this video? And why?
She suddenly glanced at Liam with a look of hatred and Betrayal..
"You lied to me, liam," she said, and she stood up to go..
Liam ran after Allison, catching up to her as she walked out of the hospital. "Allison, please listen to me," he said, grabbing her arm.
"I know nothing of this, I swear it!'
Allison shook him off, with her eyes blazing with anger. "Don't touch me," she spat out. "You lied to me, Liam. You told me my father was dead."
Liam looked at her, his eyes filled with tears. "Allison, I swear, I didn't know," he said. "I heard rumours, just like everyone else. I didn't know it was a lie."
But Allison wasn't buying it.
"You expect me to believe you?" she said, her voice rising. "You expect me to believe that you didn't know my father was alive, you are a betrayal, Liam?"
Liam nodded, with his face desperate. "Yes, Allison, I'm telling you the truth," he said. "I would never lie to you like that."
But Allison shook her head, her eyes filled with tears. "I don't believe you, Liam," she said. "I don't believe you because you're a part of this. You're a part of the lies and the secrets, but i thought we are one, and we could open up for eachother, so you lied that my father was dead, so that i could trust you, Liam, you are a betrayal"
Liam's face fell, and he looked like he had been punched in the gut. "Allison, no," he said with tears forming up on his eyes. "Please don't say that."
But Allison turned and walked away, leaving Liam standing alone in the parking lot. She was so much disappointed in Liam because she hardly believed that Liam could do such a thing to her.
Liam watched her go, feeling a sense of desperation wash over him. He tried to run after her, but she was too fast.
"Allison, please!" he cried out, but she didn't turn back.
Liam fell to his knees, overcome with emotion. He buried his face in his hands and wept, with his heart breaking into a million pieces.
"Why did you leave me, Allison?" he sobbed. "Why did you think I would lie to you?"
He stayed there for what felt like hours, crying and begging for Allison to come back. But she was gone, and Liam was left alone with his tears.
As the sun began to set, Liam slowly got to his feet, his eyes red and puffy from crying. He looked around, hoping to see Allison, but she was nowhere to be found.
He walked back to his car, feeling empty and alone. He got in and started the engine, but he didn't know where to go. He didn't know how to fix things with Allison.
All he knew was that he had lost the person he loved, and he didn't know how to get her back...
But he knew one thing was for sure, the person who sent this message was someone who either wants Allison dead or wants them separated..
As he drives along the way. The only response he was receiving for his questions on his mind was his own droplets of tears falling on to his wears.
