Just as she started to feel confused and her body was about to shake uncontrollably,
A strong, steady hand suddenly grabbed her shoulder and pulled her tightly into a protective hug.
Shenan didn't ask her what happened. The moment he saw his sister's face turn pale, he understood everything right away.
Without any hesitation, he held onto the almost frozen Celine and quickly led her through the crowd toward the entrance of the train station hall.
His movements were calm and firm. He was like a wall, strong and unshakable, blocking out all the noise and danger behind them.
Right before stepping through the glass doors, Shenan suddenly paused and turned his head. His cold eyes locked directly on Lorenzo, who was still pacing around anxiously.
There was no anger or hate in Shenan's eyes, only a calm and serious look. It was like he was memorizing someone unimportant but who still needed to be taken care of.
Lorenzo bullied his sister and thought he could just walk away without a problem?
That would never happen.
Shenan's eyes were sharp like a knife. Even from a distance, his stare felt like it could cut right through someone's heart.
Lorenzo, who was digging around in his bag and pockets, suddenly felt a chill run through him. He quickly looked up.
But all he saw was a tall figure walking away, covering and protecting a smaller figure by their side. They disappeared behind the glass door.
That back looked so familiar.
Lorenzo frowned. The shape of that girl made him want to shout, "Celine?"
But just as the thought came to him, he shook his head.
No. Celine said she was with her brother in the capital. How could she be here at this train station?
He must have been seeing things. The pressure lately was messing with his mind.
Lorenzo rubbed his temples, trying to forget that strange feeling.
But the weird feeling in his chest wouldn't go away. It made him nervous.
He didn't have time to figure it out, though.
Because he suddenly realized something even more frightening. He didn't just lose his train ticket.
Where was his phone?
Where was his ID card?
His wallet was still there, but the ID and all his cash were gone.
"My stuff. My phone. My ID."
A terrible thought hit him like a shock. He had been robbed. Everything was gone.
"Ahhhh!"
All his fear from the past few days, all his worry about the future, and now the panic and shame of being robbed, finally exploded.
Lorenzo, like a wild animal trapped in a cage, suddenly lost control and started screaming in rage and fear.
"Who the hell stole my stuff!!"
Lorenzo's eyes were red. He was jumping in place like a crazy person, pointing at all the travelers around him and shouting at everyone without caring who they were.
"Thieves! You're all thieves! This place is full of thieves!"
"You dirty people! Are you that poor?! You stole my things! I hope your whole family suffers!"
His voice was loud and sharp. He looked completely crazy. The people around started staring at him, afraid to get close. They looked at him like he had lost his mind.
Someone in the crowd quietly picked up their phone and started recording him.
"What are you filming?!"
Lorenzo saw the camera light. His emotions exploded. He ran over like a mad bull, grabbed the phone from that person, and smashed it hard on the ground.
The screen broke right away.
"What's wrong with you?! Pay for my phone!" the young man shouted and rushed forward to grab Lorenzo.
They started fighting immediately. The scene turned into chaos.
"Stop right there! What's going on here?!"
Very soon, the railway police arrived. They rushed over and worked hard to pull the two men apart.
After finding out what happened, they looked at Lorenzo. He was still yelling and not listening at all. The police frowned. One of them pulled out restraints and forced him down.
"Take them away!"
As people whispered and filmed with their phones, Lorenzo was dragged away by two police officers. He looked completely defeated.
Inside the waiting room, behind the glass, Celine watched Lorenzo being taken away. Her tense body finally relaxed.
She took a deep breath, like someone who had been drowning and finally came up for air.
Shenan didn't ask anything. He just quietly opened the bottle of water he had bought and gave it to her.
Celine took it and drank a few big gulps. The cold water went down her throat and helped calm the messy and nervous feelings inside her.
She turned her head and looked at Shenan, who was calm and steady beside her.
"Big Brother, when I saw that man, I couldn't stop thinking about the things in my dreams."
Her voice shook a little, but she didn't say the words past life.
Still, she couldn't help asking, "Big Brother, if I told you that those things weren't dreams, that they really happened, would you believe me?"
For a second, the air felt heavy and still.
Shenan suddenly clenched his fist. The sound of his knuckles cracking was small but clear.
He didn't answer her question directly. Instead, in a deep voice, he said, "Then Lorenzo deserves to die even more."
