The portal opened without warning, a rip in reality that spat Satoru Gojo straight into the middle of a Konoha training ground.
The crash was... underwhelming. It wasn't the most extravagant cursed domain he'd ever landed in, nor the most stimulating fight he'd ever interrupted.
Just a few kids throwing kunai with a seriousness that Gojo found more amusing than impressive.
"Hey, brats," Gojo said, in his usual casual tone, adjusting his glasses. "Could you show me the exit to this cheap karaoke bar?"
The children, of course, didn't understand a word. One of them, a hyperactive blond in orange clothing, shouted, "Who are you?! A rogue ninja?!"
Gojo blinked. "Ninja... is that what you're supposed to be? Wow, this world is even more boring than I expected."
That's when they appeared. A jonin with silver hair and a mask covering half his face, and a pink-haired kunoichi. The jonin's aura was... curious. There was something familiar about his calm, a kind of control that Gojo recognized, albeit on a much smaller scale than his own.
"Who are you?" Kakashi Hatake asked, his visible eye scanning Gojo with an intensity that, if not for Gojo's Limitless, might have been annoying. "You're not recorded in the bingo book."
Gojo smiled, a carefree smile that hid the absolutely overwhelming power emanating from him. "Oh, the bingo book? Is it like a sticker album for villains? How adorable." He shrugged. "I'm Satoru Gojo. And honestly, I have no idea how I got here, but if someone can point me in the right direction for some good candy, maybe I'll stay a while."
Sakura Haruno looked at her sensei in confusion. The way this man spoke, with such blatant confidence, was incomprehensible. But the way Kakashi-sensei stood on guard, the tension in his shoulders... something was seriously wrong.
Naruto Uzumaki, for his part, was more annoyed. "Don't be disrespectful to Kakashi-sensei, dattebayo! And don't stand here, you're not a ninja!"
Gojo laughed, a genuine laugh that echoed around the field. "I like you, blondie! You've got spirit. Perhaps I could teach you a trick or two? My 'ninja' way is a little different from yours, but I promise it's much more effective."
Kakashi didn't move. He had felt Gojo's power, a power that couldn't be classified, that defied all understanding of chakra. It was like trying to look directly at the sun.
"I'm afraid we'll have to take him to the Hokage's office for a... conversation."
"The Hokage's office?" Gojo replied, an amused glint in his hooded eyes. "Sounds like a place with air conditioning and maybe good tea. Go ahead, show me around. I just hope they don't have a ton of paperwork. I'm terrible at that."
As Gojo followed Kakashi and his team toward the village, his mind was already calculating the possibilities. A world without curses, but with a different kind of energy and people who used jutsu. It could be fun. Or it could be boring as hell. Either way, Satoru Gojo was in Konoha, and the balance of power in the ninja world was about to change drastically, whether he liked it or not.
