What is Myhn?
Myhn is the cosmic strand that weaves through all things—matter, thought, memory, life. It is not energy in the conventional sense but an echo, a resonance of will and existence. Those who learn to hear it, to shape it, are known as Weavers.
The Disciplines of Myhn
Myhn is expressed through three major disciplines, each with ten known forms:
1. Veythra – Elemental Myhn
The manipulation of natural forces, often raw and volatile.
Pyra – Fire, combustion, thermal force
Sylven – Wind, air current, pressure
Terran – Stone, soil, physical foundation
Luneth – Water, fluid control, tide
Voltryn – Lightning, charge, conduction
Caelum – Light, radiance, divine flare
Umbros – Shadow, concealment, veiling
Ferrox – Metal, mineral shaping
Glacien – Ice, cold, slowing
Floran – Plant life, overgrowth, entanglement
Strengths: Raw power, direct manipulation of nature Weaknesses: Often unstable, easily countered by strategic forms
2. Resona – Echo Myhn
This discipline focuses on the internal—emotion, sound, thought, and memory.
Choralyn – Sound weaving, harmonics, resonance
Serecraft – Emotional manipulation
Remnara – Memory projection and distortion
Dremlis – Dream navigation, sleep influence
Vellura – Life-sense, presence detection
Timorra – Time sense, moment dilation
Myrren – Soulbinding, connection to essence
Whispen – Invisibility, perception masking
Requien – Echoes of the dead, death residue
Luthien – Voicecraft, spoken influence
Strengths: Subtle control, social influence, illusions Weaknesses: Less direct, requires emotional clarity and vulnerability
3. Sygros – Glyph and Shape Myhn
A discipline based on symbolic expression, traps, and structural magic.
Binding – Locking, sealing, imprisonment
Inkthreading – Drawing weapons/tools from Myhn
Wardrun – Defensive glyphs, barriers
Sigmara – Ritual glyphs, long-form casting
Karthol – Flesh-engraved glyphs, blood sigils
Myhnscribe – Moving glyphs, cast mid-action
Relicrun – Glyphs bound to objects
Echoetch – Glyphs that trigger on conditions
Phasmir – Summoned constructs from symbols
Nullweave – Erasure, disruption, anti-magic
Strengths: Highly adaptable, strategic control, structure Weaknesses: Requires preparation, complex precision
Ranks of Myhn Proficiency
Progression through the Myhn system is marked by achieving mastery, known as Marks. Marks appear as glowing, tattoo-like sigils that represent deep attunement to a form.
Rank Structure (Per Discipline):
Initiate
Threadbound
Echo-Touched
First Mark – Weaver
Dual Form
Adept
Second Mark – Glyphbearer
Triple Form / Hybrid
Titled Master (Mastery of 4+ forms; one with dual-mark)
Titled Masters are rare and often serve as guild leaders, generals, or outlawed threats.
