Unrecorded Days(Liose's POV)

Point of View 1...

"Hey, Liose!"

"What?"

She smiled. I don't know why but her voice sounded happy despite her eyes hinting the opposite. It was an awfully long pause.

I looked at her. She just shrugged and said.

"...Nothing."

There are times when I don't understand her. She'll be cheerful first, after that her inner introverted self would come out. And then, she would spout things about cliché, fictional men, golden retriever energy, etc.

"If only..."

She mumbled.

"What? Didn't catch that."

She smiled. Again. Yeah, I kinda remember moments like this. She would say something in a low voice. It's like, she doesn't want anyone to hear it. She would smile and carry on. It was somewhat creepy. It felt ominous.

Then I heard a chuckle. It sent chills down my spine.

"Seriously?! You're scaring the h*ll out of me. If you have something to say, just say it. Stop doing that."

"Huh? Doing what, exactly?"

"Everything."

I said with a blank space. Sometimes I want to run away from her. With a sigh I continued what I'm doing.

If you're curious as to what I'm doing, it's just drawing. I remember her laughing at my drawing of a dog. She said it looked like a goat. So I decided to sketch a little to prove her wrong.

"Why do you think people see the world in different perspectives? If everyone saw the same thing, then maybe conflicts won't happen. No one would suffer. And everyone will agree with one another."

She uttered out of nowhere. I pause my sketching and thought about what to answer. I was actually planning on not answering but she looked like someone serious. And because of that I can't bring myself to leave her hanging.

"Maybe, just maybe, if we saw the same thing we might agree to each other. But what would be the meaning of uniqueness when you and I are the same. I can feel that you said that because you genuinely mean it but Iya, you know that that's not how the world works."

"..."

"We are all different from each other. That is why we say different things and presents diverse opinions. The world would be no fun and dull if we're all the same. That world that you are thinking, would only exist if people gave up their ability to think other ways. To follow only one thing is like marching in a path that is all set without hardships, failures, suffering, sacrifices, and even conflicts. We are human, Iya. No matter how hard we try, all those things would stay in our lives. We need to be different and unique. The best way to solve problems is to think different."

I said. It was quite long, I know. She frowned. That's the look of someone who doesn't really understand the words I just said. That's a given.

"Wait, isn't that hundred, no maybe thousands, way off to what I'm asking?"

"I know. It's just I don't want you to think that being the same as everyone means avoiding conflicts. I just want you to be you. Do you understand me?"

"I'm still in the dark. But, let's forget that. This is getting way more serious than I thought. Just chill, okay?"

She said in the most sarcastic way I heard. She's enjoying this, doesn't she. She finally laughed after holding it for who knows how long.

"Ugh! You're driving me crazy! You're the one who started it. So, why are you laughing?!"

"It's just...y-your serious f-f-face just looks so cringe. I can't--pwhaaha--stop laughing. That looks cool on you. Too serious that it's so--hahahha--funny."

She said between her laughs while trembling. I honestly can't with this girl. I just sighed with a matching face palm. She walked to the door while still laughing and stopped for a second.

"Thank you."

Then I heard the doors shut.

Point of View 2...

It's a normal day today. Just kidding it's not. I asked Iya to go out even though it's weekend. And she's p*ssed. Can't blame her but going out to play and see the sun is good too. We actually looked like a couple. Due to the fact that we wore black turtleneck. I did consider this to be a date. Not that she knows that it is.

We went to the arcade and played for a while. I actually enjoyed doing some stuff like this with her. But the claw machine served as my greatest enemy. You know when the male and female lead go to the arcade. The guy would want to look cool. And it was like a unspoken rule to try the claw machine when you're on a date and win a plushie then give it to your girl.

It was something like that. And for the first time I agreed to Iya about this cliché plot in books. This is bad. Due to hours of novel sharing session on the rooftop, I'm starting to analyze my life as some sort of a plot for a novel. Even my actions looked like a trope. After the nth time of trying, I finally got the cat plushie. I almost broke the machine because I was super angry. And this girl just laughed at me. Well, that works for me too.

After that, we went straight to a coffee shop. It was mostly Iya talking, about novels of course. But that's fine. It almost felt perfectly right. I hope these types of moment would continue.

"Iya, do you have a wish?"

"A what now?"

"..."

I made a face that literally said, 'are you deaf?' but didn't say it. She saw it and gestured something like some sort of level had just gone down. Maybe one of those character traits or persona level going down.

"My wish, huh? To be a great writer?"

"Isn't that a goal?"

"..."

She looked confused. And so am I.

"Dunno."

She said with a shrugged. I also didn't think much of it so I decided to let it be.

The day ended peacefully. That is for me.
