Chapter 10 - Secrets of the Nine Crowns

Chapter 10: Secrets of the Nine Crowns

Location: Throne of Ash – Karakali's Infernal Court

The air rippled with black flame as Karakali, the Queen of Shadows and Broken Time, stood at the center of her fortress—Vaipraloka, the Forbidden Realm. Her throne was forged from fallen stars, and around her circled the Nine Crowned Rakshasas, generals not born of flesh but of cursed intent.

> "The child has awakened," she murmured, her voice echoing like a scream across ages.

The first general, Maharnav the Bone-Singer, stepped forward, wearing a necklace of Rishi skulls. "Shall I burn the world-tree roots to weaken the Seal, O Queen?"

Karakali's eyes narrowed. "Not yet. The Eighth Gate child is incomplete. But he remembers now. And worse..." she hissed, "...Aarav remembers."

The second general, Varjun the Hollowed Flame, laughed, his body an ever-burning silhouette. "So the Akashic bonds have cracked. Then let us move to the next phase."

The Nine Crowns chanted in unison. From their mouths poured sanskritic curses twisted by greed and blood, opening a shadow-rift that reached toward Bhuloka.

> "Summon the Anantaraksha," Karakali said. "And activate the Mirror of Past Lives."

Location: Hidden Ashram of Vedanta – Forest of Trikalaya

The newly awakened Vedanta, Child of the Eighth Gate, slept fitfully in a sacred chamber built in an overlapping node of all three times—Past, Present, and Becoming.

Anaya stood guard outside, silently tracing protective yantras in the air with her fingers, her mind burdened.

> "He knew my secret," she whispered to herself.

Guruji, chewing on spiced peanuts, sat beside her casually.

> "Secrets have a way of undoing time, dear. Yours just might undo the whole Fifth Yuga."

> "Do you know what I did?" she asked quietly.

Guruji tilted his head. "I know what you thought you were doing. Love is not always gentle when it tries to protect."

Aarav entered, his face grim.

> "He's having vision seizures," he said. "He's reliving not just his life — but others'. The past lives are waking up."

> "That's what Karakali wants," Guruji said, "She needs him to remember one life in particular — the one where he opened the First Gate himself."

---

Flashback Vision: Vedanta's Ancient Life

Inside his dreams, Vedanta stood as a tall warrior-prince in celestial armor, holding a Key of Time—a dagger inscribed with runes made of light.

In front of him, a younger Karakali stood pleading.

> "If you open the Gate, we can reset everything. I'll save your people."

He hesitated.

> "You're lying."

> "Not this time," she whispered.

He plunged the Key into the void.

The Gate shattered.

And the Fourth Yuga ended in flame.

Present – Consequence of Memory

Vedanta awoke with a scream that shook the trees.

> "I REMEMBER!" he cried. "I betrayed the world!"

Aarav grabbed him, holding the boy close. "You were tricked. That wasn't you."

Vedanta looked up, tears glowing. "But it was... me before I became me. I opened the First Gate for her. And now she wants me to do it again."

Anaya whispered, "Then we stop her."

Guruji rose, dusted off his robes. "Which means it's time you met the First Seal Guardian. He knows truths none of us can face alone."

Journey to Naimisharanya – Forest of Timeless Eyes

Their path took them to the ancient wood of Naimisharanya, where time folds like paper, and the Rishis walk among echoes.

They were greeted by a towering figure cloaked in twilight blue — eyes blindfolded with stars.

> "I am Rishi Pravalya," he said. "I guard the First Seal."

He looked toward Vedanta.

> "So the boy awakens. The Gate trembles."

---

Revelation: The True Purpose of the Eighth Gate

Rishi Pravalya led them to a secret underground sanctum—a place carved not by hand but by cosmic intent.

In its center stood a rotating cube, covered in golden inscriptions, the AUMAKARA CORE.

> "The Eighth Gate was never meant to be opened," Pravalya intoned. "It was meant to become sentient."

Aarav blinked. "What?"

> "The Eighth Gate is not a door... it is a being. Vedanta is not the key. He is the Gate."

Everyone fell silent.

> "And Karakali doesn't want to open a portal," Pravalya continued. "She wants to make him shatter — and become the bridge between all Yugas, past and future."

> "That's why she's using the Mirror of Past Lives," Guruji muttered.

End Scene: The Mirror Activates

Back in Vaipraloka, Karakali stood before a giant obsidian mirror filled with swirling smoke and flickers of ancient lives.

She whispered:

> "Show me the life when he loved me."

The mirror shimmered.

And there it was — Vedanta as the celestial prince, standing with her hand-in-hand beneath a starry sky, promising eternity.

> "Yes," she smiled. "We will return to that night."
