The Eldest son of the Drake Household
Lucien Drake, the eldest son and heir of the Drake household, was the representative of his family and the future head of House Drake, one of the most influential families in the entire kingdom. The Drake household had produced many war heroes and legendary figures, including their ancestor, who was said to have transcended humanity and become a sword sovereign.
The Patriarch of the Drake household had reached the Sword Grandmaster realm, where he could manifest his sword intent. Lucien, possessing great talent, was engaged to Alicia Sores, a renowned figure from a powerful family of mages, and a 3rd Circle Mage herself.

Lucien was born into a prestigious family and was engaged to Alicia Sores. However, he became arrogant and prideful, completely unaware of the politics and power dynamics surrounding him. He also lacked focus in his training, despite having talent. As a result, Lucien drifted through his youth, remaining stuck in the Sword Disciple realm and unintentionally bringing humiliation to his family.
As a result, Lucien's engagement with Alicia Sores came to an end. He realized that Alicia had used him to further her ambitions. Although he understood this, he felt powerless to change the situation, leaving him frustrated.
On that day, his brother Alex came to see him. In a fit of anger and frustration, Lucien challenged Alex to a duel. He lost the duel and began to avoid Alex out of shame and guilt. Overwhelmed by these feelings, Lucien went to the city, half-drunk, and caused a scene at a pub by getting into a fight.
Ultimately, his continuous disappointments led to his being expelled from his family.
Ten years of silence - Lucien regret
After being expelled, he came to recognize the mistakes he had made over time, blinded by pride, arrogance, and power, which had poisoned both him and his family. Determined to change, he vowed to rise and become someone his family would be proud of.
Lucien realized that, being at Sword Disciple, he was not eligible to join the military due to his rank; the minimum requirement was to be a Sword Adept. He also understood the pressure his father felt because of his setbacks. While exploring the streets, Lucien discovered a mercenary guild and decided to join. This choice marked the first step toward achieving his goals.
Since he was only Rank G, he had to do simple tasks like collecting herbs and cleaning. He understood the importance of money, which he spent carelessly, as well as the necessity of food and water. At times, he considered returning to his family, but when he remembered the humiliation they had endured, he gritted his teeth. During his spare time, he trained his swordsmanship.
As he progressed in his training, Lucien's rank advanced from G to B, demonstrating his growth and potential. However, he felt that this was not enough. He longed to return to his family, hoping to make them proud after being away for five years. At 23 years old and having reached the Sword master realm, he missed his family every single day. Despite this, he continued to train hard, motivated by the hope of reuniting with them again.
The Devastating Truth
After continuing struggle and battle and participating in war against empire Lucien had finally reached Sword Saint Realm and was titled marquis, and was the only S rank in the mercenary guild named as the God of War, as soon as he could he tried to go home and finally face his family again but before he could reach there he got the news of an assassins attempt by an organization from the empire named Shadows River and that his younger brother and father died.
As the grief of losing his family shattered Lucien's heart, he walked toward the street, where it seemed that the rain was accompanying him. He swore to take revenge on Shadow Rivers. Suddenly, an assassin appeared, surrounded by a group of people—some at the Sword Grandmaster level and a few at the Sword King realm.
As Lucien confronted the group, he asked, "Who are you guys?" They responded coldly, saying, "A dead person doesn't need to know so much." What followed was a fierce fight in which Lucien managed to kill almost all of the assassins, except for a few. Upon seeing their emblem, he realized they were from Shadow River. One of the surviving assassins seized this opportunity to use a modified poison that was deadly even for Lucien. Before he succumbed to the poison, Lucien had taken down more than 50 members, including some of their executives.
In his final moments, he uttered, "If I survive, I will come for you."
He died alone, filled with regret.
But fate was not done with him.
Now reincarnated in his younger body, with all his memories intact, Lucien sees the truth: this time, he won't let his family down. He won't plead for redemption, and those who killed him before won't see him coming.
