Chapter 2 - The beginning of the end

"The commander enters the headquarters, only to be surprised by a long corridor. He activates his hoverboard, only to encounter explosives blocking his path. He quickly evades them, then a frozen path appears ahead. He leaps over it, navigating skillfully. Suddenly, spiral turns appear, but he dodges them as well. Then, out of nowhere, the path is propelled forward at high speed, and a wall rushes towards the commander. Reacting swiftly, he launches a rope, latching onto the ceiling and avoiding the wall before landing back on the ground. The floor then moves backward, and behind him, a spiked wall emerges. A bottomless chasm appears, separating the two paths. He activates the turbo feature of his board, soaring high above to dodge all the traps. However, a strange feeling overcomes him. He throws a luminous grenade and stops, realizing that the reflected light reveals only a small mirrored passage, made up of rotating panels.

The professor speaks: 'Not bad.'

The commander replies, 'A good attempt, but I was suspicious when I didn't hear the echo of the explosions, plus your attempts to manipulate distances by shifting the corridor backward and forward.'

He moves into the next room, only to be greeted by gunfire. He dodges it, unaware of its source. Arrows are launched from behind, but he avoids them. Suddenly, saw blades emerge from the ground, followed by laser projectiles. He can't locate the machines responsible for these attacks to disable them. Realizing that evading the attacks is becoming increasingly difficult, he throws explosive stars everywhere. To his surprise, they disappear. As he approaches the locations where he had thrown the stars, he notices they were hit, but camouflaged with holographic technology. He exclaims, 'So, you used holograms as camouflage!'

To counter this, he uses an artificial sun device that emits a strong light across the area, disabling the hologram technology. He then destroys the laser and bullet launchers before moving forward. Suddenly, a powerful air current sweeps across the path, pushing him outside. He accelerates his hoverboard, but the wind intensifies. He struggles against it using his hoverboard, but the road abruptly moves towards him at high speed, hurling him outward. The commander mutters, 'These winds are becoming a real nuisance; I need to overcome them.'

He reenters the room, and the strong winds pick up again. He fires an arrow rapidly, piercing through the air. As he moves forward, the arrow slows down but remains stable, resisting the wind's push. The professor enlarges the image and remarks, 'So that's how it works—you maintained the arrow's stability using magnetic repulsion between the launched arrow and your gloves. As you advance, the arrow keeps piercing through the air, allowing progress.'

The commander struggles, saying, 'Advancing has become increasingly difficult, especially with the reverse road and the forceful air currents.' The professor presses a button, and suddenly, flamethrowers appear, merging with the air currents. The result is a powerful blaze, pushing both the arrow and the commander backward. The commander exclaims, 'This isn't good!'

His hoverboard wheels begin melting due to the intense heat, and the engine explodes under excessive load. Forced to abandon his board, he activates his fire boots—rocket-powered shoes with incredible speed. As he advances, the arrow continues cutting through the flames, splitting them into two, creating a passage for him.

He presses forward, but behind him, a fiery vortex begins forming. The professor warns, 'Every action has an equal reaction. By splitting the flames, you've increased their speed of spread, and the use of magnetic force has widened the fire, amplifying its intensity!'

The commander replies, 'No choice—it's all or nothing!' He pulls out a series of dynamite explosives and throws them into the flames. A massive explosion follows, even destroying the next room's door. The commander is propelled forward, shielded by a protective cloak.

The professor zooms in on the scene and mutters to himself, 'Using dynamite was a risky move. The explosion slowed the fire vortex momentarily, but it will soon release an even stronger blaze. Using a flame-resistant cloak was a temporary shield, but it won't hold up forever.'

The commander rises, tossing away the burnt cloak, and retrieves a disk. He presses it, revealing a brand-new hoverboard, and continues onward."
