Author's Note: This will provide a better insight on the world itself. Additionally, this will improve comprehension of the global power system. However, be cautious because they may contain spoilers!
SETTING
The premise of the story takes place in an anime called Alcras. In this anime, Earth merged with another realm known as Letia where their inhabitants, who were known as Licrans, were also an intelligent species which decided to work with humans for the past 50 years. Even though they were never properly in peace, they tried their best to work together to fight against mutations known as Abridgers which were the product of the two realms.
POWER SYSTEM
CONTAN
Contan, a unique power system that had similar elements of magic except it isn't like that at all. Instead, it was powered up with trauma. Before you turn 18, they would call that age the ignorance period, basically making you forget about the terrifying period when you experience trauma during those times. However, as soon as you turn 18 you will remember all of those terrible moments which will build up your dormant Contan.
SURVIVORS
Humans that awaken their dormant Contan are known as Survivors. Also depending on the type of trauma they experience, it will shape their Contan's ability.
There is also a way to measure different Survivor's stages as there are 5 in total:
-Denial
-Anger
-Bargaining
-Depression
-Acceptance
LICRAN'S POWER SYSTEM
As humans have the Contan system, Licrans also have a similar power system called Helteran, which instead of being powered by trauma it is instead powered by desires and their affinity to world. Their ability will be awaken when they turn 16 instead of 18 as their life spans tend to be slightly shorter than humans.
Similar to Contan, depending on their desire and their affinity to the world it will shape their Helteran's ability.
The Licrans who were able to use the Helteran's power system are known as Cravers.
Cravers also have stages in power and they also have 5 of them, and they are:
-Curiosity
-Hunger
-Devour
-Greed
-Control
Both Survivors and Cravers have special ranks associated with the stages they are in. For example, for each associated stage there is a rank and they go in the following order, and for Survivors it's:
-Denialists
-Ragers
-Wagers
-Sullenborns
-Forgivers
Craver's Ranks are:
-Seeklings
-Yearners
-Gluttons
-Collectors
-Sovereigns
ABRIDGERS
Two different branches of Abridgers: the Originals, and the Derived.
Originals are Abridgers that were created due to the by-product of the clashing of realms. Then the Derived are the humans or Licrans who couldn't control their desire or trauma, as their body and mind goes through absolute confusion, and desperation that not only they go completely insane but either their Contan or Helteran will basically explode.
There are different stages of Abridgers from weak to strong, 7 in total:
-Fleeters
-Mourners
-Dreaders
-Fractals
-Voiders
-Enders
- Hollows
BYSTANDERS
People or Licrans who were born before the 50-year convergence of the realms, so they don't have any Contan or Helteran. However, if you were born within the 50 years of convergence no matter what you will have a Contan or Helteran.
