Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: [Adamantine Sealing Chains]

A quiet night, seven days later.

Deep in a secluded forest behind Leaf Village, all was still and silent.

"Haa!"

Suddenly, with a sharp battle cry, an immense surge of chakra erupted from between the trees.

Heiyan brought his palms together, brow furrowed as if suffering through pain.

The next second—

Whoosh!

Five enormous golden chains burst forth from his back, each tens of meters long, soaring through the woods with piercing whistling sounds.

Boom!

One of the golden chains coiled around an ancient tree so thick it would take five or six men to encircle it—then ripped it clean out of the ground.

Crack! Crack!

The chains tore through the surrounding trees, shattering them instantly. Trunks that had once been as tough as steel disintegrated like dry twigs under pressure, spraying splinters everywhere.

This is Uzumaki's secret technique—the [Adamantine Sealing Chains].

These chakra chains, emitted from the caster's back, could not only serve as offensive weapons but also create barriers and even seal Tailed Beasts, making them highly versatile and powerful Sealing Techniques.

In the shinobi world, many techniques may not qualify as Kekkei Genkai, but mastering them still demands incredibly rare conditions.

Like Mist Village's legendary Water Gun Technique—its principle is actually very simple. In practice, however, only those capable of transforming their bodies into water can fire high-speed water bullets from between their fingers toward targets.

Thus, this technique has remained exclusive to the Hozuki Clan.

The Adamantine Sealing Chains work similarly; only someone possessing immense chakra reserves alongside extraordinary vitality can successfully execute it.

Even within the Uzumaki Clan itself, such individuals were exceedingly rare.

That's why Kurokawa could only stare helplessly at the stolen Adamantine Sealing Chains after acquiring them—they proved untrainable for himself and unsellable to others.

Until now, when they fell into Heiyan's hands.

Heiyan himself couldn't believe it—he'd grasped the fundamentals of [Adamantine Sealing Chains] in just seven days. It was, after all, a Class A technique.

Upon reflection, it must have been due to Sage Transformation.

Because most of Uzumaki's sealing techniques relied upon Yang Release principles, with Adamantine Sealing Chains being among the strongest.

Yang Release represented physical strength, and Sage Transformation embodied the ultimate physical form.

So in this era—between Hashirama Senju's death and Naruto's birth—Heiyan, bearing the Sage Transformation, could rightly call himself the strongest Yang Release user in the shinobi world!

If he fully merged the Six Tomoe within him and achieved perfect Sage Transformation, he wouldn't even need seven days—maybe just one glance would be enough to master [Adamantine Sealing Chains] on the spot.

Moreover, the power of this sealing technique directly depended upon the user's chakra strength.

In the original Naruto chronicles, Karin Uzumaki once used this move to counteract the fake Thousand Hands Manipulation Force: Thrust conjured by White Zetsu.

Kushina Uzumaki, at the verge of death, even subdued a rampaging Nine-Tails using this exact technique.

For Heiyan, as time passed and his Yang chakra steadily grew stronger, the potential of [Adamantine Sealing Chains] would continue increasing under his command.

Still, Heiyan understood the cost—this technique placed extreme strain on the user's body.

Even with his Sage Transformation, he felt extremely drained after using it once. It seemed just like the Mangekyou Dojutsu—something not to be used lightly.

"Mastering Adamantine Sealing Chains means I can unleash this trump card against giant summoned beasts or even tailed beasts on the battlefield."

Heiyan sat cross-legged, recovering his strength while thinking things through.

Time was running late.

After finishing his training, Heiyan stood up.

His teacher Kosuke Maruboshi had been on a mission outside the village and was finally nearing its end, soon to return to Konoha.

Therefore, Heiyan prepared a feast at an izakaya to welcome Kosuke back.

Two hours later.

Inside a private room upstairs at You Guqi Izakaya.

Teacher and student, Kosuke Maruboshi and Heiyan, reunited after a long separation, enjoying a lavish dinner together.

"Heiyan, who would have thought that in just one month, you not only recovered from a serious illness but also transformed completely, as if becoming someone new entirely?"

Kosuke kept gazing at Heiyan, sincerely happy for his disciple, marveling repeatedly, "This is nothing short of a miracle."

Moved by his own words, he couldn't help but shed tears.

"These years past, without your guidance and encouragement, I wouldn't have managed to keep fighting my illness."

Heiyan spoke calmly about painful memories he'd rather forget.

As soon as he finished speaking, he left his seat and deeply bowed before Kosuke.

"As master and student, we don't need formalities like this."

Kosuke looked fondly at him and gently helped Heiyan back to his feet.

"Oh right, Master, when can I start going on missions with you?"

After having several rounds of sake, Heiyan asked.

Ever since arriving in Konoha as a child, he hadn't left the village once in ten years due to his illness.

Yet as a ninja who wanted constant, rapid growth, isolation wouldn't suffice—he had to leave Konoha and travel through the ninja world.

For Heiyan, Kosuke represented the most suitable guide.

"Haha, naturally whenever you want. Though..."

Upon hearing this, Kosuke first laughed cheerfully before changing tone, "We're both Genin after all, so available missions will be limited. Prepare yourself mentally to avoid disappointment."

His words carried another meaning—hoping Heiyan wouldn't set unrealistic goals and overreach himself.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins beneath one's feet."

Heiyan understood Kosuke's meaning and replied solemnly.

"Good! Well said!"

Feeling deeply delighted, Kosuke became even more convinced that accepting this student years ago had been the best decision of his life.

Several years prior, Heiyan's father wanted to find an extracurricular tutor for his son studying at the Ninja Academy, considering many candidates—all Jonin from the village.

However, the young Heiyan insisted that his father seek out Genin Kosuke Maruboshi and ask him to become his teacher.

Kosuke Maruboshi lived contentedly despite poverty, residing alone at the village outskirts for decades, quietly devoting himself to protecting the village—a true ninja embodying Konoha's Will of Fire.

A man like him naturally couldn't be tempted easily by money into taking students.

Luckily, Heiyan's father was a renowned philanthropist known far and wide for aiding the poor and funding local development. He'd done so much for Konoha that Kosuke Maruboshi had no reason to refuse his personal visit.

From that day onward, Kosuke Maruboshi became Heiyan's mentor, a relationship that continues to this day.

The meal was a real treat for both teacher and student.

"It's getting late; I should head back now. You should rest early too."

Kosuke Maruboshi stood up and bid farewell to Heiyan.

"Master, let me walk you out."

Heiyan also rose, walked ahead, and pushed open the wooden door of their private room.

"Meow~"

Suddenly, a lazy cat's meow came from outside the room.

Turning toward the sound, Heiyan caught sight of a surprisingly large, plump orange cat zipping past him and bounding down the stairs.

"Wah, such a cute little kitty!"

The young waitress working at the izakaya's first-floor dining area lit up upon seeing the cat and reached out to pick it up.

Just then — swish!

A green figure burst from the corner like lightning. Before the waitress could react, he leaped forward in a diving tackle, spreading his arms wide and tightly grabbing the orange cat.

Unfortunately, he'd thrown in too much force and couldn't stop in time. As a result, both man and cat tumbled straight into the crowd.

Chaos erupted instantly.

"Got no eyes, huh!?" several diners shouted angrily as their tables overturned, drinks and dishes spilling all over them.

"Sorry! Sorry!"

Still crouched on the ground, the green-clad man kept bowing repeatedly.

Meanwhile, the orange cat hung midair, grabbed by the scruff of its neck in the man's merciless grip. Claws out, it thrashed furiously, clearly not happy.

"Might Duy?"

After getting a clear look at the other person's face, Heiyan couldn't help but show surprise.

That's right. The man appeared to be in his twenties—tall and broad-shouldered, standing at least 185cm high.

But what really stood out was the tight green spandex suit he wore. He also had those iconic thick eyebrows, a large nose, and bushy sideburns. This was clearly Might Guy's father from the original tales—Might Duy.

Might Duy—the user of the [Eight Gates]—burned his own life force in battle, facing off against the Seven Swords of the Bloody Mist alone and cutting their number down from seven to three. That legendary act made his name shake across the entire ninja world.
