Moving Day…
I really never had any friends, haven't been around any other children besides my cousins crosstown and now I'm going to a new place…. I wonder what it's gonna be like ,Lil Papi's thoughts raced with anticipation, excitement and nerves as he thought about his new home.
Few hours later…
We arrived at our new home "Kingz Lane"apartments known as the bricks, all I see is kids playing outside from tag at the playground to simply running around like no body's business, older guys hooping at the basketball court, and girls dancing I was just brimming with excitement after being in a hotel for so long… all I can think about was getting out the moving truck and playing outside making some friends.
I was thrilled the first day we moved to kings lane after unloading and helping mama with what I could, I got mama permission to go play outside we lived in a three bedroom apartment now so my sisters finally came to stay with us, I had my own room while the girls shared a room" thank god I said to myself", with a smile I rushed outside and literally played til I couldn't play no more, man today was a great day met a few other kids and stayed out til the street lights came on… mama started early with screaming my name so the entire neighborhood could hear her and it was sooooo embarrassing… but that was mama, now that we moved in a new place.
Few weeks later….
Today's my 6th birthday and man mama always wanna through me a party, it's summer time now and it's soooooo hot, so far I've manage to make a ton of friends just running around the neighborhood,they all call me by my nickname Lil Papi " Lil Papi laughs at the thought", my name is actually Marco but I've always been called Lil Papi, I guess mama had a friend when I was a baby that came up with it, she always said I use to eat so much and looked like a Spanish baby. I questioned that because I'm browner then brown, Lil Papi laughed out loud. Anyways mama through me this big party and the neighborhood came out to support my birthday and all was good. I'll start school soon and what's awesome about everything is the schools in the neighborhood, literally named after our neighborhood "Kingz Lane" and I'll be a walker even though I wanted to ride a bus, it's fine I finally get to go to school.
