Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Ill-Fated Birthday

The sun had just begun to set, casting a warm orange glow over the Nakahara estate's grand ballroom. The air was alive with the soft hum of conversation, the clinking of glasses, and the occasional burst of laughter. Daisuke Nakahara, the spoiled heir, stood at the center of it all, his 17th birthday celebration in full swing.

Daisuke's eyes scanned the room, his gaze lingering on the sea of expectant faces – his family, friends, and servants. He wore a bespoke Tom Ford suit, tailored to perfection, and a confident smirk that seemed to say, "I'm the king of this castle."

"Happy birthday, Daisuke!" his mother, Sakura, exclaimed, her voice dripping with adoration. She raised her glass, and the room fell silent.

Daisuke's father, Ryota, stepped forward, his eyes shining with pride. "To our beloved son, may your life be filled with success and prosperity!"

As Daisuke blew out the candles on his majestic cake, his siblings, Mei and Kaito, playfully smeared cake cream on his nose and cheeks. Daisuke chuckled, wiping it off with a designer handkerchief.

Gifts poured in – the latest vapple Watch, a customized gaming laptop, and a golden watch. Daisuke's reactions ranged from indifference to mild amusement.

"This is cute," he said, tossing the Watch aside.

Later, Daisuke arrived at the five-star Azure Hotel's luxurious penthouse suite in his father's customized luxury car. His girlfriend, Sophia , and friends, Ethan and Emily, awaited him.

The birthday party erupted into chaos – champagne bottles popped, confetti rained down, and the DJ spun electrifying beats. Daisuke, fueled by alcohol and arrogance, began to flirt shamelessly with Emily. Sophia's eyes narrowed, but Daisuke ignored the warning signs.

In a drunken haze, Daisuke kissed Emily. Sophia's face contorted in shock and anger.

"How could you, Daisuke?" Sophia demanded, her voice trembling.

Daisuke smirked. "It's just a birthday kiss, baby."

Sophia slapped him and stormed out of the suite, tears streaming down her face.

Daisuke stumbled after her, into the bustling streets.

"Sophia, wait!" he shouted.

As Sophia crossed the street, Daisuke rushed toward her, oblivious to the oncoming bus.

A cyclist, Leon Brooks, pedaled into the intersection. Daisuke pushed him, and Leon's bike skidded.

Leon grabbed Daisuke's leg in desperation.

The bus hurtled toward them.

"No...!" Daisuke screamed.

"Look out!" Leon yelled.

The bus's tires screeched.

Time slowed.

Daisuke's world shattered.

The bus's bumper crushed Leon's bike, dragging Daisuke beneath.

Metal crumpled. Bones snapped.

Daisuke's vision faded.

A crimson-stained street.

Screams.

Silence.

The bus's undercarriage crushed Daisuke's skull.

Leon's screams echoed through the streets.

Bystanders rushed to the scene, horrified.

Sophia returned, eyes wide with shock.

"Daisuke!" she screamed, collapsing beside his lifeless body.

Leon stumbled backward, his eyes fixed on Daisuke's mangled form.

"Oh God...oh God...!" Leon muttered.

The world around Daisuke dissolved into darkness.
