Chapter 6 - Two surprises

I woke up. It's been a week since the exam. The bedroom we slept in is gone, replaced by that familiar white room. I sit up slowly—then freeze.

The Wanderer is behind me.

With a jolt and a gasp, I blurt out,

"Fuck, man, you scared the shit out of me."

"It seems you're doing rather well down there, Michael Bianco. Or do you prefer Akuma now? Irrelevant to me, clearly. You're really squeezing your quirk to the extreme. I'm satisfied—very satisfied with your progress."

He circles around me like a lion. I stare at his faceless head, only to realize I'm not wearing my usual clothes. Not even the ones from my old life.

I'm now a being of pure light—just like him.

"Huh... so I'm like you now?"

"Not quite. Since you're neither Michael nor Akuma, you have no body. Only a shared soul. That's why you look like that. But let's focus on your work now."

"Oh yeah, let's ignore your clearly double-meaning sentence and jump into pointless small talk."

I cross my arms, narrowing my eyes.

"What do you want? This is the only time I've been summoned here since reincarnation, so I'm guessing it's important."

"It is. I know about your plan to create a new body. Very interesting. Never seen anything like it. How do you plan to make it work, I wonder?"

"I don't have the slightest idea. Maybe I have to sacrifice someone?"

He laughs, waves his hand dismissively, then points at my chest.

"You have the answer right there, kid. Do you get it?"

I pause. My eyes widen.

"My core? That's it?"

"Mmhmm. Not quite. You do need a sacrifice—but only half of it."

"To make another life... I need to break mine into two parts. So he can think, feel..."

"Exactly. I didn't see this plan of yours coming, which is good. So I'll roll with it. Break your core in two to give this useless puppet a purpose. That's all."

I sense my feet sink in the apparently endless whiteness of this place as I look up to see The Wanderer one last time

"Good luck, Bianco. Let's hope you keep me entertained long enough."

He waves at me as my head is the only thing showing from the floor, as I completely sink darkness invades my sight I finally wake up surrounded by the walls of my department, my mother sleeping in the bed, with a hungover smell, and the cheap floor fan blowing more noise than air

I get up, dress in silence. The thick afternoon heat fills the space.

At the door, I see it. The envelope with my results. I grab it and head to the abandoned building.

On my way, I pass a TV store. Every screen's showing news about the UA exams, All Might, the results. As expected.

I reach my hideout. My secret space. There he is—my second body, right where I left him. Lifeless. Soulless.

I drag him out, lay him on the hot concrete. I stare down. Is now the time?

I end up deciding to postpone it, I'm sure I'm going to enter, but let's look first

To my own satisfaction as I open the card the hologram that informs the results selected me as one of the few fortunates that get this opportunity bla bla bla, they mention my heroic act in the Robot attack, pointing out this is how a hero would act, and with my normal points I easily classify as one of the members to the 1-A class

"So that's it. Time to continue the plan."

My body trembles. At my command, my chest opens. A cold, white sphere emerges. I grab it—my quirk core. Icy smoke trails off it as it pulses.

I open my copy's chest. Empty. I place the core above it.

With my other hand, I line up the cut.

Hesitate.

Then—I slice.

"AHG! FUCK!"

The pain hits instantly. My body spasms. One half of the core drops into the puppet. The other half slams back into my chest.

Still—burning.

"F-FUCK! GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!"

My hand claws the concrete. I can't stop the pain. Like my nonexistent guts are screaming.

As I roll on the floor a hand enter my sight, I look at it with fear to see myself in a cold expression looking back, so it work

I grab it and we analize each other, he doesn't look taken back like I do

So it worked.

I take his hand. We stare at each other. He doesn't flinch like I did.

"Yeah, I'm gonna have to change that face. It's creepy seeing myself like this."

He nods, he doesn't talk huh? Well that doesn't matter now, he is alive, and he serve me

We pass the next two hours working on his appearance as I talk with him about what I need him to do, now I know he really can't talk, he is muted from birth, I don't know why but its better to have a clear distinction between us

So now I present my newest tool, standing at 6'0 foot tall, large messy blonde hair and with blue eyes, he isn't young, instead I made him look more older than me, to avoid any correlation between us,he is also more bigger than me, that muscular but with fat build,to be clear he looks like a exploited office worker, artificial baggy eyes made him look more into the role

He won't share my quirk, obviously. So after a lot of thinking, I settle on something new. My threads can be manipulated endlessly. If I make them microscopic and strong enough to pierce a human body...

You get the "Phantom Bullets" quirk.

Yes, I know. I'm amazing at naming quirks. No need to praise me.

From the outside, it's simple—he points, forms a finger gun, and fires invisible bullets. Sounds broken, but it's not. Crafting those thread meshes takes time and focus. It's balanced.

Karma. That's his name.

He'll act as a vigilante. Not to the USJ attack—no. His goal is to catch the now forming League of Villains' eye. Join the Vanguard Action Squad It'll take time. But it'll be worth it.

I look smiling at my creation, he smiles back with a more sophisticated look, ugh, he already looks more intelligent than me, he may be to good

"Well, Karma. We've got a lot to do. Let's begin, shall we?"
