It was already late at night when Hailey stepped off set, wrapping a thick scarf around her neck as a chilly breeze picked up. Her final scene had to be recorded at night—a haunting, emotional monologue that had drained her more than she expected. Thankfully, Kaira's scene had been cut short due to poor delivery, so the production had wrapped even earlier than expected. They were done before 9 p.m. which was a rare mercy.
Eduardo hadn't come with her this time. There was no need. He had already done his part—hacking Kaira's phone, which she still had no clue about. She and Killian had gone through the USB drive Eduardo had handed over days ago, expecting incriminating material.
What they didn't expect was that much nudity.
After skipping through an embarrassing amount of explicit content—most of which seemed self-filmed—Hailey had finally found something worthwhile: a phone call made by Kaira on the very day Aiden died. It had taken place just two hours before his time of death.
