The living room interior was simple with nothing flashy or extra expensive. However, everything was so spotless if one smiled, they would see their pearly white teeth reflecting on the surface. To top it off, an aroma was oozing from the kitchen.
"You said you wanted to talk about my husband's death," she started. "Well, I'll tell you this, his death was planned, that I am sure of."
Killian and Hailey shared another look.
"Please take a seat," Mrs. Sterling offered, gesturing towards the seat. "Can I offer you anything? Water?"
"Yes please, thank you," Hailey replied.
The house was warm and cozy, making her feel more relaxed than she thought she would be.
They suddenly heard footsteps approaching but it wasn't Mrs Sterling as they'd expected, strode in. It was a much older woman, with wrinkles all over her face.
