Hailey was at the shooting site, completing her scenes flawlessly as always, earning another round of applause for her performance. She bowed her head lightly in appreciation before stepping off set. Meanwhile, Kaira was having a much harder time than usual.
"Cut!!" Kean shouted into the microphone, his voice echoing through the lot as he rubbed his eyebrows in sheer frustration. "How many times do I have to tell you this, Kaira? You frown! Just frown like every normal human being. But no—you keep squeezing your face like you're holding in a shitstorm!"
A rosy hue rushed over Kaira's cheeks and neck. She fought to keep a straight face, but it was almost impossible. The eyes on her—cold, critical—didn't help. Her pride screamed at her to keep her chin up, but deep down, the embarrassment was suffocating.
"I'll do better," she murmured.
Kean scoffed and waved his hand dismissively. "We're taking a break. Everybody off the set."
