Chapter 11 - Cultivation (3)

Taking things slowly, naturally didn't mean Hong Wei would stay idle. And so, he looked at both Shan Mei and Seren in front of him and told them his decision… that he would not leave the town, but he still wanted to attempt cultivating, even if there might be no results.

There was also the path of martial arts, which he already had a technique for, the one he got from the Black Dog Gang. But even so, Hong Wei still wanted to try cultivation first.

He didn't mind tempering his body through martial arts, and later using various natural treasures or pills to aid him, but he still wanted to focus on Qi cultivation. After all, it was the main system.

In the end, maybe it wasn't meant to be?

Because Hong Wei needed a cultivation technique to start anything. And unfortunately, both women only knew the techniques they currently used, which in both cases, were not suitable for him.

Seren's technique was made specifically for her physique, and Shan Mei's technique was made for women, after all.

Hong Wei stayed silent, thinking if he should just give up his obsession and start with martial arts for now.

That's when Seren suddenly said, "Master, if you will not allow me to venture out, and still want to cultivate…"

"Then, we can ask someone else who should have a cultivation technique."

Raising an eyebrow at this statement, Hong Wei asked, "And who has one?"

"There's actually a cultivator in the town. We can ask him for the technique he has."

"And even if it's a low-tier one, you can start with it for now, and later convert to another, better one."

'There's actually a cultivator inside the town?' Hong Wei wondered, slightly intrigued.

He thought that it was probably the magistrate, as rumors went out in the past, which claimed he was a cultivator.

Anyway, even if he really was one, he was probably low-tier.

While Hong Wei was still thinking about Seren's suggestion, Shan Mei, looking a little embarrassed, suddenly spoke.

"Master… actually, there's something that could help you in your cultivation, even if you don't want us to venture out."

Shan Mei paused as she saw Hong Wei's eyes turn to her, before finally gathering her courage and saying, "The technique I use is actually made so that the one who takes my Primordial Yin, through dual cultivation, will get immense benefits."

Shan Mei continued explaining more about her technique, but in the end…

'She means sex, right?'

With that thought, the gaze Hong Wei cast on Shan Mei changed slightly, before it returned to normal.

Through her explanation, he understood that while he would gain benefits if he had sex with her for the first time, because he didn't have spiritual roots and his Qi affinity was too low, much of the energy would actually be lost.

But still, it should help him reach the second stage of the Qi Refinement Realm. So, maybe that's fine?

While that was his initial thought… in the end, Hong Wei just shook his head.

The characters he pulled naturally had maximum loyalty to him. They had blind faith in him. But that didn't translate to affection… to love, after all.

So, even if he knew that he could have sex with any female character he pulled, he still didn't want that.

He wanted to build some affection first, before doing anything.

Not to mention, this topic was too complicated. After all, he would pull a new character every day. And according to his estimation, more than 80% of them would likely be women.

Then what? Did that mean he should make all of them his women?

That was impossible.

Then what? Did that mean he should let go of Seren and Shan Mei?

That too was impossible.

They were the first characters he drew, and they held a special place inside him, after all.

And while Hong Wei could give both of them the liberty to refuse him, he would still not allow any other man to touch them!

Possessive? Controlling? Maybe. But that's how it is. No one else gets to have them!

The topic of dual cultivation ended with his refusal in the end. But, in a way, Hong Wei was still able to make up his mind because of it.

He had been in too much of a hurry to start cultivating. And there was no need for that.

Anyway, for now, even if he did cultivate, he wouldn't make any noticeable progress.

So, he could afford to take it slowly, while drawing other characters.

There was no need to stress over a problem that could naturally be solved with time.

Because Hong Wei knew… he remembered, there were many bizarre and miraculous characters in the gacha game he used to play.

And if he managed to draw one of them… a problem like this would likely be solved in an instant.

The only issue was that most of those characters were divine-tier and above, and he didn't know when, or if, he could draw one in the near future.

But that didn't matter.

He would take his time. And until that day came, he would take the first step, not as a cultivator, but as a martial artist.

Strength… he just needed to start building his strength.

And one day, the path of cultivation would naturally open before him.
