Chapter 30: Fate Intertwines
The giant ape crashes into the hillside, its blood soaking the forest floor.
Liu Guan Yi stands atop its head, calm and expressionless, his black robes fluttering in the wind. With a swift slash of his sword, he ends the beast's life. The village behind him cheers, grateful to be free of the terror that had haunted them for weeks.
The mission was simple: eliminate the Rank 3 demonic beast threatening the outer villages under the sect's protection. For Liu Guan Yi, it wasn't a challenge—it was a warm-up.

On the Way Back
After handing over the beast core and getting his mission token marked, Liu Guan Yi returns toward the Heavenly Sword Sect. Flying silently on his sword, he takes a less-traveled route over forested valleys and narrow trails.
As he crosses over a quiet village nestled in the hills, his system suddenly chimes:
> [System Notification: Chosen One Detected]
Liu Guan Yi's eyes narrow. His gaze shifts downward.
Below him, streaking across the air, is a flying sword carrying two people—a young red-haired boy and a white-robed girl. They're moving fast, almost recklessly.
Behind them, an old man gives chase. His aura is fierce—a Rank 5 cultivator, at least. His face is twisted in fury.
> "A village elder? And he's trying to kill them?"
Liu Guan Yi slows slightly in the air, his expression unreadable.
His system flashes again:
> [Name: Zhou Fang ]
[Luck: Red-Golden Halo]
[Talent: B Grade]
[Status: Special Fate Carrier]
> "So it begins," Liu Guan Yi murmurs. "Another piece falls into place."
