The monsters' distorted body pulsated every second. It blitzed towards Hyun-woo faster than ever.
Gasping for breath, Hyun-woo barely managed to deflect its strike with his dagger which could already shatter at any moment.
Jin-soo traversed around the creature to its back, slashing its leg to hinder its movement. His sword stuck and jammed in the blend of monster parts which formed its legs. A tendril which came out from its spine had Jin-soo back away. "The damn monster stole my sword."
Both of them, almost on their last legs, ran out of ideas for any sort of possible counter attack that could damage it enough for them to stand a chance.
Hyun-woo tried landing critical attacks in usual weak spots but it stood to no avail.
The creature lunged towards Hyun-woo with its disfigured claw and with no energy left to spare, Hyun-woo slammed into the ground unable to dodge, cracking the surrounding terrain and sending a breeze of air outwards due to the impact.
"Should've dodged it, you idiot!" yelled Jin-soo, attempting to grab the monster's attention.
Evading attacks from the monster to buy time for Hyun-woo to recover and striking whenever possible with only his bare fists, Jin-soo darted around doing his best to do whatever damage he could.
Hyun-woo was only just able to stand up from the previous onslaught. "Thanks.", in an untroubled and nonchalant tone.
Grasping his dagger tighter than ever, Hyun-woo knew this was his last chance to either kill the monster or die by its hands.
Springing up and down, readying up his state of mind, Hyun-woo zipped towards the mutilated creature in a straight line.
The deformed claw trying to repel Hyun-woo slammed down towards the ground, missing its attack.
Changing his direction in a sudden movement to dodge the jab, Hyun-woo directed his Critical Strike in a downward motion towards the arm out of its natural position.
The monster roared ferociously while taking a moment to look at its missing arm.
It dropped down on the ground with a heavy thud; A sense of accomplishment and a potential shot at winning overwhelmed both Hyun-woo and Jin-soo.
"You did it!", screamed Jin-soo while targeting the monster's leg to deal critical damage..
Hyun-woo backed off quickly,"It's only going to get more deranged now." "If we can somehow make it immobile, this could end quickly."
Both of them raiding its leg in a desperate effort to hamper its movement.
A back-and-forth of engaging in distracting and assaulting it at different times one after the other.
The air around the monster gradually grayed and thickened as if to highlight a next phase and yet no visible change could be seen.
Neither Jin-soo nor Hyun-woo sensed anything more worrying than their current predicament.
It was only more outraged which didn't show clearly and its attacks had shifted to a more aggressive, feral pattern.
Hyun-woo could feel his speed and sharpness in every movement he made slowly diminishing.
The nightmare knocked Jin-soo away with a closed fist over to a car which crumpled on impact.
It even with only one arm had already imposed too much damage on each of them for a significant turn in the battle.
Hyun-woo attempted to slash the boss's leg while it was distracted with Jin-soo; but it retaliated too speedily almost like an animal's instinct and launched him to an empty, desolate building demolishing it.
By now, any other person would've given up or rather been unable to even move. But they got up again on sheer willpower.
Jin-soo groaned while pointing his sword to the boss's face."Hey, you freak! Weren't we going to kill this demon together?"
The debris from the collapsed building shifted little and Hyun-woo climbed out of it with minute difficulty.
"Shut up. I'm definitely going to kill it." , Hyun-woo muttered whilst gripping his ribs.
Jin-soo struggled to move in a precise manner with his severe injuries. He couldn't deliver a blow fatal enough to be useful. All he could do to help out was to distract the monster and keep his attention off of Hyun-woo.
"I'm waiting for it."Jin-soo chuckled to himself to further infuriate Hyun-woo.
The monster was engrossed enough by Jin-soo which allowed Hyun-woo to leap towards its neck.
Watching Hyun-woo behind the monster going for the final blow; Jin-soo was filled with joy thinking this was finally going to end.
Until the dagger which was long due its time shattered into pieces like glass just as it touched the boss monster.
The creature knocked Jin-soo away to the floor with his foot which was entangled with pieces of other monsters and was as repulsive as all his other body parts.
It turned swiftly and grabbed Hyun-woo with its right hand and threw him right under its feet.
Hyun-woo could no longer move and yet he showed no fear on his face.
The creature in the midst of stomping on Hyun-woo was beheaded easily and cleanly.
Dumbfounded and fatigued, Hyun-woo stumbled up to take a closer look at what just occurred.
"I didn't think anyone was dumb enough to challenge the boss monster.", Ryu Min-Jae quietly uttered in an authoritative tone.
