Chapter 6 - Chapter 6- Kai-kai kitan, First level...

After dinner, Grey cultivated till dawn and as the sun rose up, bizarre existences left. He stood up from his crosslegged position and unblocked the door to the dilapidated house.

When he came out, he saw some signs of battle around and couldn't help but sigh. He clutched the rusty knife in his hand and ventured away from his abode.

He reached a lake covered by a faint layer of ice and couldn't help but frown. 'But there is no sign of snow?' He later came to the conclusion that it was the work of a bizarre existence at the very least. A very powerful one.

He left the area immediately, not wanting to stay any longer. The area he stayed in was the edge of a corroded zone. He knew his strength and wouldn't dare go deeper into the zone.

Under the faint illumination of the arising sun, he sneakily made his way through the forest.

"It has been two weeks. I wonder what the outside world have done by now." His voice was soft and could be heard as a whisper.

Ever since the first incident with gods hand. More corroded zones appeared and with it, new forms of life would arise in the form of bizarre existences.

Creatures with no sense of logic attached and defied the laws of the universe. The corroded zones would become the birth place of such creatures and most of them would stay there. Not willing to go out of the corroded zone because of the presence of the corrosive substance which was detrimental to their growth.

Although the corrosive substance had affected the very world and even the spiritual energy, it was by a little amount and could almost be neglected.

Grey looked at the small black dot on his wrist. The black dot was emitting a decaying and eerie smell. This dot was called the decay point.

The corrosive subtance absorbed into the body through spirit energy would appear at various points of the body depending on the type of cultivation art one practiced.

Grey heard a slight rustle in the bushes. If not for his sensitive ears, he wouldn't have heard it at all. In fact, he was not sure but his paranoia was very much active. He turned to the side then listened for a few seconds before sighing. "Come out, i already know you are there."

The dead tree leaves rustled again and a dark figure came out. He had a dark grin on his face on his face. He was surprised at how Grey managed to notice him, but he didn't dwell on the matter any more than he needed to.

"Hello kid, what could a boy of your age be doing here?" He grinned evilly again.

Grey frowned and immediately he got ready for the fight that would soon ensue.

The man was unarmed and his clothes reminded him of rogue cultivators in the past.

Right as he was calculating his next steps, a battle axe suddenly appeared in the man's hand. His grin seemed to widened as he saw the frown darken on Grey's face.

"Just give me your spatial ring and you can walk out of this corroded zone in one piece." The man chuckled menacingly, swinging his axe slightly to try to frighten grey even more.

"I don't have one." Grey's response was short but his expression was calm and indifferent.

It was the mans turn to frown this time. "And what if i don't believe you?"

Grey's response was a shrug but his paranoia had not lessenes even once, instead he felt the feeling of impending danger.

'Seems like a fight can't be avoided.' He had already begun circulating Kai-kai kitan. His hand reached to his side, where the blunt knife hung concealed by his clothes.

"Am serious kid. I will cut you down, just give me the ring and i will leave." The man said again, walking slowly towards Grey.

Grey stood silently, waiting for the right moment. The rogue cultivator stopped suddenly when grey had not attempted to even move.

'Has he noticed?' Grey said in thought.

"Kid, you're beginning to get me angry now." The rogue cultivator said but Grey still did not answer him. He just kept looking at him with a detached gaze.

'Tch, who is this kid. And what's with the detached look on his face.'

"If... you want my spatial ring..." Grey began. The rogue cultivator did not let him to continue.

"Your time is up kid, i will f*cking kill you." He said and burst into a sprint.

The spititual energy fluctuations coming from him made it clear he was in the fifth level of qi condensation.

"... you will have to get it from my cold, dead corpse." Grey did not look like he had noticed the speeding man coming towards him.

His expression was calm, so calm that it was cold. He pulled out a rusty dagger and suddenly, a green majestic aura burst fortg from him. Making his level of cultivation reach the sixth realm.

The green aura that was as bright as fire but didn't burn his clothes circled around Grey. But instead of the surrondings getting hotter, the air around suddenly dropped by several degrees.

The already cold expression on his face seemed even colder. 'Kai-kai kitan, first level...'

"...Green sword." The green fire like aura then took the form a sword. The sword was made of green fire which illuminated Grey's figure in the dark forest.

The dead look in his eyes made the rogue cultivator stop for a split second. But that split second that he was stunned, Grey acted.

His body moved so fast that you could barely see a blur. He was upon the rogue cultivator in a flash and his sword slicing the air ready to cut into him.

But the rogue cultivator reacted and dodged at the last second. Barely able to believe that a puny kid was this close to separating his head from his neck.

"What are you?" He asked after retreating for several meters. His voice was stricken with fear. Sweat was running down his chin.

Grey's cold eyes swept over the rogue cultivator and the fire was illuminated in his grey eyes. Turning them a faint green. But he did not answer and instead rushed forward.

He did not believe in having a chat with his opponent while in the middle of a fight. But in his mind he did answer. 'I am your death.'
