Chapter 15 - Sinister

After Su Ziyan got the porcelain bottle and looked at it, he felt that these Yellow Dragon Pills were still not as good as the Yellow Dragon Pills in the storage bag.

But it was much better than what he had just seen outside. He continued to ask, "Daoyou, isn't there anything better?"

When the maid heard Su Ziyan say this, she shook her head with a wry smile and said, "Daoyou, this Yellow Dragon Pill is the best one in our store. If you are still not satisfied, you can go to other stores to have a look. I am afraid that they are not as good as this one. Otherwise, you can take a look at other pills."

"There is another elixir that has the same effect as the Yellow Dragon Pill. Fellow Daoist, please take a look to see if you need it."

Su Ziyan nodded when he heard this, and the maid went out to get the pills.

He sat in the side room and waited. After a while, the maid came in with two porcelain bottles with the words "Guiqi Dan" written on them.

At this time, the maid was a little worried about Su Ziyan. After all, he was only at the fourth level of Qi training, and she was afraid that he did not have so many spirit stones.

After all, the total value of these pills could reach thousands of spirit stones. Could he, a Qi training level 4 cultivator, afford it?

But he was not worried that Su Ziyan would snatch the pills and run away. After all, there was a cultivator in the Condensation Vortex Stage in charge of the Danding Pavilion.

If he really dared, he would no longer exist in this world.

Su Ziyan didn't care what the maid was thinking. He took the porcelain bottle and examined it.

He found that these pills were similar to the Yellow Dragon Pills he had just bought. After thinking about it, he decided to buy them. After all, it would be quite difficult to find pills with the same medicinal strength as those in his storage bag.

Although these pills are not as good as the original ones, they can at least meet my needs for cultivation.

He then asked, "Fellow Daoist, I want both of these elixirs, but I wonder if there are other elixirs of the same quality."

The maid looked at Su Ziyan and shook her head. "If you are looking for the elixir you need for your current cultivation, I'm afraid there is nothing better than this."

Su Ziyan heard the maid say this, so he had no choice but to give up. He pointed at the pills and said, "I want all of these pills. I wonder how many spirit stones it will cost."

The maid looked at the porcelain bottles, calculated and said, "Three bottles of Yellow Dragon Pills cost nine hundred low-grade spirit stones, and Guiqi Pills cost six hundred low-grade spirit stones, a total of one thousand five hundred low-grade spirit stones."

After the maid finished speaking, she looked at Su Ziyan nervously, fearing that Su Ziyan did not have spirit stones to pay and would end up snatching them away.

Su Ziyan didn't say much, he just slapped his storage bag and took out 1,500 low-grade spirit stones. "Fellow Daoist, count them and see if they are enough."

The maid was also stunned when she saw Su Ziyan take out so many spirit stones at once.

But looking at the mountain-like pile of spirit stones in front of her, she couldn't believe that a cultivator at the fourth level of Qi Refining could actually come up with so many spirit stones.

Zou Ran came back to her senses after hearing what Su Ziyan said. She did not avoid Su Ziyan's intention and directly released her spiritual sense to scan him.

After confirming that the number was correct, he took out a storage bag, put the spirit stones in the bag, and a smile immediately appeared on his face. He asked Su Ziyan if he needed anything else.

His attitude towards Su Ziyan changed drastically and became extremely enthusiastic.

Su Ziyan thought for a moment and then asked, "Is there a better alchemy furnace here? If so, bring it over so I can have a look."

The maid did not hesitate. She asked Su Ziyan to wait for a moment and turned around to find the best alchemy furnace.

She didn't tell Su Ziyan the price of the alchemy furnace, because when he saw Su Ziyan paying the 1,500 spirit stones, he didn't even move his eyes.

When he came back, he brought three tripods and furnaces to Su Ziyan and introduced them to him one by one.

Su Ziyan listened quietly, then chose an alchemy furnace with three dragon heads embedded on it, paid three thousand low-grade spirit stones, put away the alchemy furnace and left.

After watching Su Ziyan leave, the maid turned and went to the backyard.

She wanted to report this matter to the head of Danding Pavilion. She walked through the back door to the backyard, and without stopping for long, she went straight to the door of a room.

"Your servant greets the Pavilion Master. I have something important to report to you."

In a side room of this room, there was a cushion on the ground with a person sitting on it.

This man had loose black hair and looked to be in his seventies or eighties, but his cultivation had already reached the initial stage of condensing vortex.

The maid told the story of Su Ziyan and then stood quietly by the side without saying a word, waiting for the Pavilion Master to speak.

After hearing the maid's report, the old man looked at the maid in confusion and asked, "Are you sure he is just a cultivator at the fourth level of Qi training?"

The maid lowered her head and dared not look at the old man. "Yes, his cultivation is only at the fourth level of Qi training."

The old man hesitated for a moment and said, "Perhaps it is possible that he is a cultivator from a family who has come out to gain experience. All right, you immediately find two disciples to follow that person. After all, if he can take out so many spirit stones, he must have more on him..."

The maid said, "Yes, I obey the order."

He lowered his head, backed out of the door, closed it and left.

The old man thought for a while in the room in the backyard and muttered to himself, "I don't know whether what he said about the elders is true or not. But even if it is true, so what?" He chuckled and then closed his eyes to rest again.

After wandering around the market for an hour, Su Ziyan went to an inn, rented a room, and sat cross-legged inside.

Now he plans to swallow a pill that can preserve a person's current appearance forever.

But for cultivators, this kind of elixir belongs to the category of chicken-aiding elixir, because it is of no help at all for cultivation.

But for female cultivators, it has great appeal. For female cultivators, young appearance is the most important.

After a while, he swallowed the solidifying pill. He felt a fragrance lingering in his mouth, and the pill had a slightly sweet taste. Su Ziyan smacked his lips and thought it tasted pretty good.

But he didn't expect that this would bring him a lot of troubles later, of course, this is a story for later.

After swallowing the solidifying pill, he began to close his eyes and rest. After all, he had been traveling for such a long time without much rest, so he had to get enough rest now.

But he didn't know that there were two people outside who had been looking for his residence. These two people were the ones that the owner of Danding Pavilion had ordered the maid to find.

Both of them have reached the fourth level of Qi training. One is a man with a thin face but short stature, and the other is an adult man with a dark complexion but a somewhat sturdy build.

For the old man and the maid, it was enough to deal with a cultivator at the fourth level of Qi training.

Su Ziyan didn't know that he had brought disaster upon himself by showing off his wealth, and he was still resting with his eyes closed.

The two monks only found out where Su Ziyan lived the next day.

However, they did not act rashly, because they were in the market town at the moment, and if they took action, they would be captured by the market town's law enforcement officers.

By then, my cultivation would be abolished and I would be thrown out. It was not worth it to receive such punishment just to help the higher-ups do something.

So they decided to stay around the inn and keep an eye on Su Ziyan's movements.

Su Ziyan spent the past three days resting his mind. On the fourth day, he got up, washed and went out.

He continued to wander around the shops and stalls in the market, and suddenly he stopped at a stall.

The stall owner was a young man of similar age, wearing a loose grey Taoist robe, which looked a little ridiculous on his thin body. His cultivation was only at the third level of Qi training, but people around him did not provoke this young man.

But Su Ziyan didn't care about the little Taoist priest. He only noticed the herbs on the stall in front of the little Taoist priest.

Most of those herbs have dried up, and the people around have no intention of trading for such herbs.

This is because even if you buy these herbs, you can't use them to make pills, even though some of the herbs are only used in the Condensation Vortex Stage.

But he couldn't make elixirs, and even the most high-quality herbs were useless if he bought them, so this stall could be described as deserted.

Su Ziyan walked to the stall and took a look, and found that these herbs were recorded in the jade slips, so he knew their uses and what kind of elixirs could be made from them.

He asked the Taoist priest, "Fellow Taoist, how can I trade these herbs?"

The young Taoist priest raised his head and looked at Su Ziyan, then lowered his head again and said, "All the herbs cost one hundred low-grade spirit stones."

Su Ziyan thought for a moment and said, "Fellow Daoist, most of these herbs have dried up, and the rest are almost dry. They are still so expensive, can you lower the price a bit?"

When the young Taoist heard Su Ziyan's words, he thought for a moment, "How many spiritual stones do you think it would take to buy these herbs from me?"

Su Ziyan didn't beat around the bush. "I want all these spiritual herbs. How about eighty low-grade spiritual stones?"

The young Taoist priest shook his head when he heard this. Su Ziyan saw him like this and asked quietly, "Then I wonder how to trade reasonably?"

"Ninety low-grade spirit stones. I won't sell it to you for less," the young Taoist replied.

Su Ziyan nodded and said, "Okay, in that case, I'll take them all."

After Su Ziyan paid the spirit stones, he collected all the herbs in a storage bag.

The young Taoist priest packed up his stall and wanted to leave, but Su Ziyan stopped him and said calmly, "Why, fellow Taoist, do you think the deal is unreasonable?"

"No, I just want to ask you, fellow Daoist, if you still have these herbs. If you do, I'm willing to continue trading," Su Ziyan said calmly.

The young Taoist looked at Su Ziyan strangely. He didn't expect that the cultivator in front of him still wanted to continue trading with him.

What I sell are not those herbs whose spiritual properties have been preserved and not lost.

But it's just a little strange, it's someone else's secret.

"Okay, but I don't have much left," the young Taoist said indifferently as he looked at Su Ziyan.

Su Ziyan laughed and said, "It doesn't matter, as long as you can have it. I'm Su Ziyan, I don't know your name."

The young Taoist replied, "Just call me Qin Lan. Daoist friend Su, please come here tomorrow and I will come here to trade with you."

Su Ziyan responded and separated from Qin Lan. He continued walking in the market.

But soon he realized that two monks were following him.

He did not alarm them and continued to do his own thing. After a while, he stopped in an empty alley.

Su Ziyan turned around and looked at the two monks, and the two monks also came out.

They knew that since the person in front of them had come to such a place, it meant that he had discovered them, so they walked out calmly.

"My two fellow Taoists, I don't know why you are following me," Su Ziyan asked coldly.

The thin-faced monk just sneered, while the adult man looked at Su Ziyan expressionlessly without saying a word.
