Chapter 3 - this isn't how physics works

Shine and the creature just stare at each other, he'd assumed it would immediately attack once coming from whatever gap in space it had made but it didn't, it just stood there as if studying what kind of creature he was as well. all of his attempts to xray the monsters came back false, this was expected the great enemies war machines work the same way. Getting an internal scan of their systems without cutting them open is basically impossible and destroying one while also leaving it in a state that could be studied was just as hard, he had hoped this thing would be different given its a biological life form but he was proven wrong.

The creature starts circling him and he follows suit, for a full minute they pace in circles in the fromer lake the creature does not growl or purr or neigh, it's silent completely silent.

Shine grabs his spear from the ground once he's circled to the creatures former location and activates his heat shielding again

Finally as if waiting for that signal the monster attacks, it leaps with force of a bullet train but not even a paw print is left on the ground, it moves faster than the sound of its approach but the air doesn't slow it down or even react as it moves through it, and the entire time the creature is just as silent moving though the air like a specter.

Finally it strikes at shine, for his credit despite the bizarre scene he's already readied himself to leap back and dissipate the force of the attack. But even as its long fangs land and strike his armor and he begins leaping back as to not have his chassis pierced he realized:…. It wasn't that strong. Despite the creature's truly amazing ability to seemingly manipulate space and it using some kind of undiscovered energy as a source of power. The power of its attack is laughable compared to anything the great enemy has ever used before.

Between this and the creature's uncanny ability to move completely silently, shine is forced to accept a possibility that he had not wished to since being transported here, it's possible this creature and even his transportation to this forest wasn't the work of the great enemy.

There's simply no way anything created by them wouldn't shatter him completely in one strike given his current condition. On the bright side that meant destroying this creature would be a comparatively easy task.

Before he even lands on the ground the creature is charging him again this time attempting to crush his head under its hooves, he wouldn't give it the chance though, bringing his spear down with such force that sound barrier breaks and the air doesn't have time to part on its own and needs to be forced aside. Seeking to split the creature's head in two, Then the creature dodges. While in mid air, while mid attack, while a hair's breadth from being split in two the thing moves its legs through the air as if hopping and backsteps, landing on the ground opposite of him and just barely avoiding shines slash.

Shine stares in shock as he lands back on the ground,

"Systems check: visual distortions or firewall breaches"

[visual record: untampered

Physical processor: intact,undamaged

Firewall 1: functioning as normal, was last attacked for 30s 2 minutes ago

Fire wall 2: functioning as normal

Fire wall 3: functioning as normal

Fire wall 4: functioning as normal

Core programming: "you have free will do as you like, live as you want, there are no strings on you."

After confirming that what just happened was in fact not a visual distortion caused by the enemy finally learning to break though his processor's firewalls (an act that was unlikely to occur if they weren't able to do it upon first contact). He decided not to give this creature a chance to break the laws of nature anymore than it already has and charged forward, the panther/horse thing for all its tricks and abilities that offended everything he'd ever been programmed to know was simply too slow to avoid him. He put his spear through its stomach as it was trying to dodge backwards and then brought his hand down on the monster's head crushing its skull.

And just like that shine, for the first time in his life won a battle.

Shine immediately gets to work dismantling the creature using his spear as well as running every scan he's capable of on every individual part to see what makes this thing tick and how it was capable of everything it did.

It takes hours to pull out each organ and without damaging them, it then takes hours more to deskin it and take apart all the bones unfortunate the brain was entirely destroyed due to his over excitement in making sure this creature passed on from life, and the strange energy it was emitting stopped in the first 12 hours only to be replaced by a different far weaker strange energy

Shine immediately gets to work dismantling the creature using his spear as a makeshift scalpel, as well as running every scan he's capable of on every individual part, to see what this thing is and how it managed to jump on air.

It takes hours to pull out each organ without damaging them. It then takes hours more to deskin it and take apart all the bones. Unfortunately, the brain was entirely destroyed due to his overexcitement in making sure the creature passed on from life, and the strange energy it was emitting stopped in the first 12 hours only to be replaced by a different, far weaker strange energy.

"The autopsy of the creature designated 'Hooved Panther' starts now.

Total weight: 12 tons, more than expected from a creature of this kind, but not unnaturally so.

Dimensions: 12 feet tall when legs are fully extended and standing on all sixes, 6 feet wide.

Heart: Size as expected of a creature of this weight. Only one of them, but it appeared to serve not just the purpose of pumping blood, but also the strange energy designated life force through the body. After the body ceased functioning, it continued pumping a different strange energy—designated death force—through the body, despite the heart no longer being functional.

Lungs: There are five lungs placed in different parts of the body, but from what I can tell, only two of them are used at any one time. It's assumed the Hooved Panther's species is either genetically modified for redundancies or has seen so much combat in its long evolution that multiple vital organs are necessary. This implies it has had far longer to evolve than the animals of Earth.

Musculature: Entirely normal. No abnormal density or obvious answer for why it moved as fast or struck as hard as it did.

Stomach and intestines: Operate as normal, no notes, although they are smaller than expected.

Kidneys: None found.

New organ, designated 'The Core': This organ is placed right above the stomach, tucked under the intestines. Even after the creature stopped producing life force, this small sphere about 12 inches wide continued containing a massive amount of it. It can be assumed this functions similarly to a nuclear reactor, but I've yet to find a way to harness the energy inside. I suspect the Hooved Panther noticed the energy my own reactor was producing and wanted to either consume or absorb it into this core.

Bones: Its bones are four times more durable than steel and appear capable of resisting extreme heat. I suspect the full power of my core would melt them, but they're easily strong enough to withstand my flamethrower for minutes at a time and my heat shielding at max output indefinitely.

Skin/fur: Both were destroyed after prolonged exposure to heat shielding before that they showed no notable qualities.

Fangs: same as bone, seems like a continuation of the skull instead of your typical teeth

Audio recording end.
