Chapter 7 - Talk

**Arthur Morningstar POV**

Why did my father call me?

Lost in thought, I walked slowly toward Noah's—my father's—room. I still hadn't fully accepted him as my father.

As I stood in front of the door, just before I could knock, I heard Noah's cold voice say, "Come in."

Does he think this is cool or something? My face twitched into a frown, but I quickly composed myself.

I entered the room, which was dark and mysterious.

"Master, did you call me?" I asked.

"Yeah. Sit down," he replied.

I took a seat; the chair was quite comfortable. But why did he call me?

Noah seemed to notice my thoughts. "I called you to engage with the princess from Starlight House. And don't get it wrong—this isn't about love or anything sentimental; it's purely for benefits and alliance."

Oh great, the villainous fate doesn't seem to go away just because the original body, which was replaced by me, is gone. I thought it would be behind me. Sigh—there's a lot of work and drama ahead.

Noah noticed my sigh. "Don't even think about loving her. You're an heir of this family, so act like one."

I had no reason to refuse. First, he is the head of this house, and if I don't follow him, I'll be in trouble. Second, that would disrupt my quiet life.

"Yes, Master. I will bring many benefits to this family," I replied, deciding to play my part.

Noah looked at me. "You've changed—a lot. And that's a good thing. I heard you've been training hard; some people even called you a training freak. Back in my day, that was my title. Anyway, you can go now. The princess will arrive in 20 days."

His face softened for a moment but quickly returned to its usual expression.

I looked at him and said, "I will prepare myself within 20 days, and I will do everything you've instructed."

He met my gaze and said nothing.

I left the room.

…..

In his room, Arthur was making his cats—or beasts—talk.

One was in human form while the other remained in cat form.

"Hon, can you say anything?"

"Meow."

"So you can only say 'meow'?"

My face broke into a laugh as I patted his head.

Hon shook his head.

"Enjoying my hand, Hon? You're a cute one, you know."

Hon's face turned into a strange expression.

"Weird human," he thought.

Of course, he couldn't speak since he was born.

"Come here, both of you. Let me feed you, and after that, we'll study."

Hon seemed excited.

But Aly was not; he hated studying. They weren't even studying with books—they were using words, and Aly couldn't do it because he was in cat form.

"Just wait for me," he thought with determination.

While Arthur was busy, he glanced at the human form he had created.

He resembled a cat, but in a human version, with black hair and blue eyes—his eyes were like the sea.

He began to teach him words.

But no matter what he did, Hon didn't understand.
