Chapter 32 - The witches plot

The moon hung high in the sky, casting its pale light over the witch's coven, hidden deep in the woods. The air was thick with unease as the remaining witches gathered, their faces shadowed in the dim candlelight. They were bruised, battered, and disoriented from the failed attack on the Blue Moon Pack. Their defeat at the hands of Callista and Lucien was still fresh in their minds, and fear had begun to spread among the ranks.

Sabrina stood at the center of the coven, her arms folded, eyes narrowed in thought. The witches around her whispered, casting furtive glances in her direction, still shaken by the power Callista had unleashed.

"She's stronger than we thought," one witch murmured, her voice trembling. "That magic... it was too much. We couldn't handle it."

Sabrina remained silent, her expression unreadable. The witches' fear only fueled her frustration. It was true that Callista had proven herself formidable, but Sabrina wasn't about to let this setback defeat her. She knew that in every battle, there was a moment of weakness, and she was determined to find it.

Finally, Sabrina spoke, her voice cold and commanding. "You fools," she hissed. "Do you think this is over? She may have defeated us today, but she has a weakness. One that will be her undoing."

The witches fell silent, their eyes turning toward Sabrina, waiting for her to reveal her plan.

Sabrina's lips curled into a cruel smile as she continued. "Callista's power is immense, yes. But it's also unstable. She's still learning to control it, still tethered to emotions she doesn't understand. Her weakness... is her love for Lucien."

A murmur of realization passed through the witches. The bond between Callista and the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack was no secret, and now it was clear to them that this bond was both her greatest strength and her greatest vulnerability.

"She's tied to him, heart and soul," Sabrina went on, her tone dripping with venom. "Her power is tied to her emotions, and when she is most vulnerable, when she feels weakest, her magic will wane. If we can strike at Lucien, if we can tear them apart, Callista will be powerless."

A witch spoke up, voice uncertain. "But... How can we separate them? They're bound by the moon goddess, their destinies tied together."

Sabrina's eyes gleamed with malicious intent. "We don't need to sever their bond completely. We just need to put enough pressure on it to make her doubt herself, to make her feel the fear and pain of losing him. The bond will weaken, and with it, Callista's magic."

The witches nodded slowly, understanding Sabrina's plan. They had seen how the bond between Lucien and Callista had fueled her power during their battle. They knew that if they could manipulate Callista's emotions—especially her fear of losing him—it could destroy her.

Sabrina's smile widened as she looked around at the gathered witches. "We will wait. Wait for the right moment. Once Callista is on the edge, when she can no longer control her emotions, we will strike. We will bring her to her knees."

The room fell into silence as Sabrina's words settled over them like a dark cloud. The witches knew the stakes were high. If they failed again, they risked losing everything.

But Sabrina had always been patient, and she was willing to play the long game. She had learned enough about Callista's weaknesses—enough to know that the true battle was not about power, but about the mind. And Sabrina was a master of manipulation.

She turned to face her most loyal followers, her eyes gleaming with an icy resolve. "Prepare yourselves. The next battle will be our final one. We will use Callista's greatest fear against her."

The witches nodded, their faces hardening with determination. They knew their time was running out. The power of the Blue Moon Pack and the witch's coven were on a collision course, and only one would emerge victorious.
