Chapter 2 - Ch. 02

Luis came with a furious expression. "All of you, don't cause trouble here! If you do, we will act according to the applicable law!"

The shout from the man named Luis was ignored by the people who seemed to come only to cause chaos.

"Law?" Zane, the riot instigator, slammed a large bowl before stepping forward toward Luis. "What law? He thinks we're afraid of that threat. You little slave!"

Hearing Zane's muttering, Luis's anger intensified. He immediately called the security unit through his cellphone. "Hurry up and get here! There's a group of rats causing chaos here!"

"Okay, sir!" replied the voice on the other end.

While putting away his cellphone, Luis spoke with emotion. "Humph! Just wait, we'll catch all of you!"

The riot continued until a group of people in security unit uniforms arrived. They immediately engaged in a fight with the Jay'x Alley gang, which had only seven members.

Seven against a dozen people may not seem like a fair match. But make no mistake — besides having their own specialties, all members of the Jay'x gang were also trained in martial arts that couldn't be underestimated.

One by one, the dozen members of the security unit were taken down, their bodies marked with injuries.

"Stop!" Luis shouted loudly again, raising both hands and spinning in place, hoping he could stop the riot. "I order all of you to stop immediately!"

When his shouting received no response from the rioters, Luis began to feel frustrated. The losses to this café were increasing, and it was his responsibility to the owner.

Crash!

Luis was startled — his head was nearly hit by a flying glass bottle.

"Stop!" This time, Luis hardened his voice. "Apparently you all don't know who I am! I'm the head of the management here, and you probably don't even know whose place this is!"

"Kids, stop!" shouted a man in a black jacket, full of hatred, wearing a black mask who had been sitting in the corner of the room. He suddenly approached Luis.

"Hold them all!" he ordered firmly.

"Ready, boss!" Zane shouted excitedly and immediately knocked down several staff members with his fists.

Luis's ears felt like they were struck by lightning when he heard multiple screams of pain coming from his men, easily defeated by this gang of thugs.

"What do you want?" Luis was shocked, not expecting that these people wouldn't be afraid of him.

Without looking at Luis, the man in black gloves extended his hand. "Hand it over!"

"Hand over what?" Luis was stunned, a flicker of familiarity in the man's voice.

"All acquisition assets of Hero Café for the past year." The man's voice was calm, but it made the hair on Luis's neck stand up.

To surrender a whole year's worth of café assets to these thugs — only a fool would do that.

"Oh, so you all came here just to rob us?" A woman, who seemed to hold an important position, stepped forward.

The masked man remained calm. "Stop talking. Hand everything over — now."

"Never!" Luis would rather die than make such a mistake.

Thud!

A loud punch landed on Luis's face, turning his right cheek red and swollen instantly.

Luis's head spun, his ears rang, and his vision blurred.

"Hand it over now!" the man snapped fiercely. "If not, I'll take it myself!"

The masked man shoved Luis's chest and charged toward the cashier's counter like a king.

Hearing the command, Luis forced himself up and suddenly tried to run toward the man.

Using the last of his strength, Luis threw himself at the man from behind, trying to stop him with a desperate blow.

But the young man moved swiftly, parrying the attack and shoving Luis to the floor in a miserable state. Several parts of his body were pierced by shattered glass, bleeding heavily.

"Trying to attack me from behind? Do you think you're strong?" the young man said as he slowly took off his mask, revealing a handsome face that looked terrifying in Luis's eyes.

Luis held his breath. Those eyes and that face — unmistakable!
