I'm NOT insane.
I swear to God.
I don't know...I don't know what happened. I don't know why I hesitated.
I just wanted to help her.
I wanted to reach out and scream, to tell her to run.
To save herself.
But the moment our eyes met- I recognized that same terror.
I realized that she was scared, just like me.
I can't describe how I felt, as I grabbed her, to urge her to move.
The way she froze in horror, as fear masked her features. The blood pumping through her veins rapidly as she staggered backwards, gulping nervously.
"C-camellia...Please...you know better."
I do. That's why I'm trying to tell you to move. Why aren't you moving? Just standing frozen, like a statue carved in pure flesh. As if you're looking at a monster, when I'm trying to get us both away from it.
Oh, the terror in her eyes, reflected mine.
That beautiful, pure terror.
I looked away as quick as I could, panic invading my mind as I felt chills run up my spine. I quickly grabbed a chair, blocking that goddamn door before anything got inside the damp, dark room. Grabbing a dirty rag, I wiped off the cold sweat forming on my forehead and neck.
What in the world was I thinking?
Shit.
This house is making me go insane.
Maybe it's better if I sleep somewhere else tonight.
