Chapter 1 – The Roulette of Rebirth
"What is this place...?"
Rock slowly stood up, his feet making no sound on the spotless white floor. He blinked a few times, rubbing his eyes as if that would help him understand the surreal sight in front of him. Everything around him was white—blindingly white—as if he were inside a cloud, or perhaps a dream. No shadows, no textures. Just endless, soft nothingness.
But right in the center of this void stood something bizarre: an ordinary office desk made of polished wood, and behind it, a towering roulette wheel that sparkled with mysterious symbols. It was the only color in this realm of blankness, and its presence was both eerie and inviting.
Curiosity overrode confusion as Rock walked over to the desk. It looked like something pulled straight out of a company HR department. On top of it sat a leather-bound notebook. Dustless, pristine, and slightly glowing. He picked it up and read the first thing written in a sloppy, rushed font:
"Congratulations, you died!"
"...Great start," Rock muttered sarcastically. Flipping to the next page, he continued reading.
"I'm the famous Rob—but I'm also very busy. So I won't be attending to you personally. See that roulette? That's your destiny spinner. Spin it and it'll decide what world you'll reincarnate into.
Once you've landed on a world, you may write down three powers to take with you. ONLY THREE.
If you try to be clever and break the rules, I'll send you to Boku no Pico with no memories. Consider yourself warned.
With not-so-much love,
Rob."
Rock stared at the page for a while. The writing style was strange, playful, even borderline rude. But that didn't matter. What mattered was that it confirmed something:
— "So I really did die..."
He sighed, taking a few seconds to process it. No tears. No shock. No screaming. Just a dull sense of understanding.
— "Makes sense," he said quietly. "I was an orphan. Had no family, no real friends. I wasn't good at school. Never had a girlfriend. The only thing I enjoyed was gaming… and anime."
There was a flicker of emotion in his chest—not sorrow, but freedom.
— "Maybe this is my chance to finally start over."
A grin tugged at his lips. Reincarnation didn't sound like a punishment—it sounded like a blessing.
His eyes lit up as he approached the roulette. The wheel was massive, larger than life, inscribed with names and emblems from countless fantasy worlds—some from anime, others from games, TV shows, even movies. His hand gripped the golden handle tightly.
— "Alright… let's roll."
With all the strength he could muster, Rock spun the wheel. It began to turn rapidly, making a metallic whirring sound. The colors blended as it passed familiar symbols—Naruto, One Piece, Attack on Titan, Marvel, Demon Slayer, Overlord, Solo Leveling, God of War...
It felt like time had slowed. His heart pounded in his chest, each click of the roulette echoing louder than it should. Finally, the wheel began to slow down. The symbols became readable again, one by one.
And then, it stopped.
The pointer landed on an emblem shaped like a dragon flying against the moonlight.
— "No way..." he gasped. "How to Train Your Dragon?!"
He nearly screamed in joy. That was one of his favorite worlds—one of the few that filled him with childlike wonder whenever he watched it.
— "Dragons, flight, adventure, freedom... and now I get to live it?!"
He jumped in place like an excited kid, spinning in circles with pure glee. But then he caught himself.
— "Okay, okay… calm down, Rock," he whispered, placing a hand on his chest. "You still need to pick your powers. Don't screw this up."
He sat down at the desk. A black pen had appeared next to the notebook. He picked it up and leaned back in the chair, tapping the pen against his chin.
— "He never said the powers had to be existing ones... so I can create my own, as long as I stick to three."
A smirk curled his lips as ideas formed.
1. Absolute Contract
Allows me to form binding magical contracts with any creature, item, or even spiritual entity. When I sign a contract with a dragon, I inherit part of its power—like flight, fire-breathing, or resilience. In exchange, the dragon receives my intelligence, gains human form transformation, the ability to speak, and limited access to my powers. Contracts cannot be broken unless both parties agree.
— "This'll make dragons my allies—and smarter. We'll be equals, not just master and beast."
He continued writing.
2. Gluttony King (Rimuru's version)
A unique skill that allows me to consume anything—magic, matter, energy, abilities—and store or analyze them. I can extract knowledge, evolve skills, or convert what I consume into usable resources. Devouring a magical flame? I can learn it. Absorbing a sword? I can reproduce it later.
— "With this, I can keep evolving endlessly… learning from everything I face."
And finally:
3. Devil Fruit: Thunder God – Thor Form
Based on the mythical power of Norse gods and inspired by One Piece's Devil Fruits. Grants complete control over electricity and thunder. Allows the user to generate lightning bolts, fly using electrical propulsion, and gain immense physical strength and durability.
— "Thor in the dragon world? That's a game changer."
As soon as he finished writing the last word, the notebook began to glow. The white void trembled, and light surged around him like a storm.
His body felt weightless. He closed his eyes.
When he opened them again—he couldn't move. He was being cradled in something warm and massive.
A gentle, deep voice echoed.
— "He opened his eyes!"
A woman's face came into view, her eyes wide and teary with joy. She was holding another child, clearly just born. Rock's vision was blurry, but recognition struck him like thunder.
— "Wait… that's Stoick. And her… she's Valka. That means…"
His thoughts raced.
— "I reincarnated into the world of How to Train Your Dragon... and I'm Hiccup's brother?!"
Excitement surged through his tiny body, and as if reacting to his feelings, lightning crackled from his skin and shot toward the ceiling. A thunderclap shook the cabin.
Stoick stepped back, stunned, before breaking into thunderous laughter.
— "By Odin's beard!" he roared. "Our son is blessed by the gods! He shall be named Thor!"
He held the baby high, pride in his voice.
— "And he will become the greatest warrior Berk has ever known!"
